Kristen Jane Lin’s Testimony about her 6-Year Journey (2016-2022) with New Creation Church and under Joseph Prince’s teachings

Don’t miss my closing comments after Kristen Jane Lin’s testimony,

especially Point 1 and 2.

As part of her testimony, Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

In fact, I am not ashamed to share that one of the main reasons why I first came to Singapore in July 2017

was that I was attracted to Joseph Prince’s charisma and teachings so that I must move to Singapore to attend New Creation Church.

When I first heard this from Kristen in our face-to-face meeting,

I was literally stunned.

Why would a mature believer in Kristen

choose to move from her own country in Indonesia

to another nation in Singapore,

just to attend New Creation Church

all because she was attracted to Joseph Prince’s charisma and teachings?

This must be the work of a demonic spirit that has played a big part,

first, blinding her to Joseph Prince’s heresies,

and second, getting her to make the challenging decision

by moving from one country to another,

all because of one person, called Joseph Prince.

But praise be to God in that He can even redeem our biggest mistakes in life.

I am so happy for Kristen that because she moved from Indonesia to Singapore,

she found a good husband and was blessed with a lovely child.

This is nothing but the true grace of God,

and not the false grace that Joseph Prince has been poisoning the world with.

When I mentioned that it was a demonic spirit that has to do with Joseph Prince that has influenced Kristen,

this was confirmed by Ex New Creation Church members, like Kristen herself, and also others like

Aaron Khoo, Ivy Bong, Tony Wong-Jensen, Lindsay Lim, Yvonne Tan and Daniel Tay,

to be their same experience too.

All these are documented in this article

under Rev George Ong’s closing comments, Point 2.

YOU SHOULDN’T MISS READING THEM, AND POINT 1 TOO.

(This article was also sent to Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian, General Secretary, National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) office, and for the attention of the Executive Committee Members.)

Rev George Ong’s Opening Comments:

Nine days ago, on 30 Apr 2023, I received an email from Kristen Jane Lin.

In the email, she shared about her journey with New Creation Church and Joseph Prince’s teachings, and why she decided to leave the church.

I called her on 2 May 2023 and subsequently, met her, her husband and their 9-month-old baby on 4 May 2023.

There were 2 issues that Kristen said and wrote to me that stood out in my memory.

First, she mentioned that when she shared with 5 of her best friends her findings that Joseph Prince was teaching very wrong ideas about Jesus,

one accepted it, while the other four condemned her.

Nonetheless, she had to make the difficult decision to leave New Creation Church,

at the expense of losing her best friends and leaving her entire social network behind.

I honour Kristen for her courage in making this tough but necessary decision.

I have dealt with and heard of many people from New Creation Church, who are, more or less, aware of Joseph Prince’s false teachings.

But why are they still with New Creation Church?

It is because their business contacts are in the church.

It is because their spouses, parents, children, siblings, relatives and close friends are attending the church.

They cannot bear to lose them, so they continue to stay.

They have placed their spouses, parents, children, siblings, relatives, close friends, and their social network and businesses

above the true gospel.

Second, Kristen said she is not ashamed at all to share her testimony

for the sake of the greater good, that through what she shared,

more people in New Creation Church

and those who are influenced by Joseph Prince’s heresies,

will be warned to leave the church

and Prince’s heretical teachings behind.

I praise God for a lady like Kristen.

Don’t miss my closing comments after Kristen Jane Lin’s testimony, especially Point 1 and 2.

Note that the emphasis on highlighting in blue and red colours, and the unorthodox way of paragraphing in Kristen’s testimony were done by Rev George Ong.

Kristen Jane Lin’s Testimony about her 6-Year Journey (2016-2022) with New Creation Church and under Joseph Prince’s teachings

My name is Kristen Jane Lin, I was born and raised in a Christian family, in Bandung, Indonesia.

I said the sinner’s prayer and received Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord when I was about ten years old.

In 2016, I came across Joseph Prince’s videos on YouTube

and began to really like his teachings.

I began to share all about his teachings with my parents separately.

My father was persuaded and started to believe Joseph Prince’s doctrines in 2017, while my mother was convinced in 2018.

Both of them became very ardent believers in all of Joseph Prince’s teachings.

In 2017, I came to Singapore and became a member of New Creation Church (NCC), Singapore, which is pastored by Joseph Prince, and became a member of two young adult care groups in New Creation Church.

In 2020, apart from the two care groups that I attended, I additionally became a member of another care group in New Creation Church, which belongs to the Chinese Ministry.

In February 2021, in the midst of very strict restrictions from the pandemic COVID-19, I got married in Singapore, attended live by eight people, and attended online by my husband’s and my family.

In July 2022, I gave birth to my husband’s and my first daughter.

Until the end of 2022, none of my husband’s parents nor my parents had seen each other’s son/daughter-in-law or their new granddaughter face-to-face.

By 2019, I have been learning four different foreign languages out of a passion for linguistics, namely, English, French, German and Mandarin Chinese.

I contemplated on which new language to learn, and I thought, why not Hebrew?

It’s the language that Joseph Prince really loves!

In March 2021, I enrolled myself in two Hebrew language schools, one being Israel Institute of Biblical Studies, and I started learning Biblical Hebrew there,

and the other one being Rosen School of Hebrew, and I started learning Modern Hebrew there.

At the point where I am writing this in May 2023, I am still learning in both of these schools, currently on the third level in both schools.

There are five levels in the Biblical Hebrew course and seven levels in the Modern Hebrew course.

About only two months into learning the language in both Biblical and Modern Hebrew, at the very basic level of both schools, I learned about the DDOM – Definite Direct Object Marker,

and realised how erroneous the church’s Senior Pastor (Joseph Prince) is in his teaching about Jesus in the Old Testament, shown in the “so-Joseph-Prince-called” “The UNTRANSLATED Alef-Tav”.

I realised that Joseph Prince has always been teaching extremely wrong ideas about Jesus in the DDOM.

Of course, Joseph Prince never calls it DDOM,

because to him, it is Jesus, which is not true.

In short, Hebrew, in its grammar, just needs the DDOM anytime there is a definite direct object used in any sentence.

For example, if we say in English,

“The police officer arrested the thief”, in Hebrew, the DDOM would be placed before the word “the thief” because it’s a definite and a direct object in the sentence.

But according to Joseph Prince, the DDOM is Jesus Christ,

so let’s translate it according to Joseph Prince:

“The police officer arrested Jesus Christ – the thief.”

That’s ridiculous!

About more than a year later, I stumbled upon Asher Chee’s videos on YouTube in which he was sharing exactly this thing.

I realised that Asher experienced quite the same thing as I: deciding to study Hebrew because of Joseph Prince,

but then found out that Joseph Prince is so wrong and has been blundering out nothing but false teaching.

To enhance my explanation,

may I refer you to Asher Chee’s videos that appeared on Rev. George Ong’s website,

I then prayed about this and remembered two places in the Bible where God warns us not to add to the Bible, one in the Old Testament and the other in the New Testament:

Deuteronomy 4:2

Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.

Revelation 22:18-19

I warn everyone who hears the words of prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

Of course, because the one in Revelation might refer to just the book of Revelation, I didn’t bring this out to my fellow New Creation Church members.

But at that time, in May or June 2021, I shared my own discovery with about four or five sisters in the care groups that I go to.

Only one of them fully believed me, and this sister has left New Creation Church at about the same time as I.

The other four sisters,

unfortunately, condemned me to expose these things.

Nevertheless, I remained in the church because of two reasons.

One, it was just an online church back then, and I didn’t know where else to go yet, and two, I was so busy with preparation to and with welcoming my newly born daughter.

Fast forward to about one and a half years later in early December 2022, something major happened in my life.

My father was offended by me because I argued about his request to buy ten same pairs of sandals for him.

He thought I was too rude, too harsh, and not gracious or graceful enough as someone who believed in the “Grace Gospel” that Joseph Prince preaches.

As a result, on December 10, 2022, he declared that I am no longer his daughter, and that he would never meet my husband nor my daughter for the first time ever, and that it is valid even twenty and thirty or more years later, because my children are not his grandchildren, because I am not even his daughter.

My father believes that there’s nothing wrong for doing it

because Joseph Prince teaches that we – who are Christians – are the righteousness of God in Christ,

and that Jesus never condemns us for whatever we do

because there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, period.

The incident prompted me to wake up

that there is something terribly wrong about Joseph Prince’s teachings.

Joseph Prince always quoted the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7:16:

“By their fruit you will recognize them.”

Joseph Prince uses this verse to say that his ministry has good fruits.

I thought that my father was one of Joseph Prince’s bad fruits, and it’s just not known to people

because there is no sane ministry in the world that will share its bad testimonies from its own pulpit.

And yet, when something bad like this happens,

Joseph Prince always says that

“we do not know what that person believes.”

But I know clearly

that my father fully believes in Joseph Prince’s teachings, and that my father is a very ardent believer.

He has even literally read “Destined To Reign” by Joseph Prince at least – and I said literally – at least two hundred times.

Is that ardent enough?

But aside from that, Joseph Prince always says that the Sermon on the Mount (which includes Matthew 7:16) is not for Christians,

and all the words of Jesus before the cross except the one in the Upper Room are not for Christians, rather, they are for the Jews.

So here there are two problems.

One is the one I just wrote about my father (one example of bad fruit that Joseph Prince produces),

and two, Joseph Prince uses the words of Jesus (Matt 7:16) that, in his opinion, is not for Christians, for Christians, namely himself and the members of his church.

Then I realised I made the biggest mistake of my life

because I introduced Joseph Prince’s teachings to my father in 2017.

My father had in the years that preceded it (2017), disowned me about ten to twenty times, leaving undeniably enormous scars in my heart.

I thought back then that the teachings of Joseph Prince were so good and that they would change his life.

It did seem true for five years, but the last one he committed went beyond it all because it involved my new family members, my husband and our baby.

My father, as a result of Joseph Prince’s teaching,

also believes that everything must be effortless

because all the efforts in our lives should never be our human-efforts, as everything must be Jesus’s efforts, and Jesus’s efforts are finished on the cross.

Therefore, there should not be any effort

to make amends with me, or to live at peace with me.

But the major incident reminds me of these two passages in my Bible:

Romans 12:18-19

If it’s possible on your part, live at peace with everyone, do not avenge yourself, but leave a room for God’s wrath, for it is written: Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.

Hebrew 12:14

Pursue peace, make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Then I saw that Joseph Prince emphasises only the God of Grace, but when I need justice, there is no God of justice for me.

Joseph Prince also teaches the doctrine “once saved, always saved,

even if you renounce Jesus after receiving Him in the past.”

Joseph Prince, for example, likes to say that “we cannot jump out of Jesus’s hands” by quoting John 10:27-28:

“My sheep know my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

Joseph Prince emphasises the words “no one” means not even the devil, not even yourself.

But now I want to emphasise the verse on “and they follow Me;”

because while this passage of the Bible does contain beautiful promises for Christians,

they are conditional on our continually following Christ.

How about those Christians who quit following Christ?

They, as the same verse also says, might not even know His voice.

Another passage in the New Testament that came to my mind about making every effort is in

2 Peter 1:5-7,

make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance,

godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

There are so many things in those three verses that are off

if one has at least been going to New Creation Church for two years and fully believes in Joseph Prince’s teachings.

If the verses are wrong, then Joseph Prince is right.

But the verses can’t be wrong.

So, I will elaborate on at least three:

First, Joseph Prince teaches that we only need to believe, and our faith is so small that it is only enough to cling it to Jesus’s big faith to do everything else in our life. So, when I read again 2 Peter 1:5, I found out that there is actually no need to make every effort to add to my faith any virtue, let alone to virtue, knowledge.

Second, Joseph Prince always teaches that we only BEAR FRUITS, NOT PRODUCING FRUITS, and since self-control is one of the fruits of the Spirit in the book of Galatians, we can’t exercise self-control because the one producing fruits is the Vine, namely Jesus; we are just the branches; we just bear the fruits. So when I read again 2 Peter 1:6, I found out that there is no way to make every effort to add to my knowledge, self-control!

Third, Joseph Prince never exhorts us to persevere because we just reign in life, and there is no need to add to godliness any brotherly kindness and love, so someone like my father can kick me out of his life ten to twenty over times, and my husband, and my daughter, and there’s no way to make any effort to reconcile or to say sorry.

Further to the passage in 2 Peter 1:10-11, Apostle Peter wrote:

“Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble, and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

I see in this passage many things, first, strive and practice,

instead of just listen and listen and listen like Joseph Prince always says (and for most of the time, he is asking us to listen to his sermons instead of other pastors/other churches sermons, but do you know that you have to purchase them?

Recently, there are many of his newest full sermons available on YouTube because of his program called the Grace Partner,

but in order for that to happen, the “Grace Partners” need to pay.);

second, there is a possibility to fall or to stumble;

and third, a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus comes after hard and strict discipline.

Yes, I believe that we are saved by grace, and that’s free in a sense because Jesus has paid for it for us,

but there are training, discipline, self-control, perseverance and effort that we must also exercise after being saved (with the Lord’s help and strength).

December 2022, almost two years after my first discovery on the Hebrew DDOM of how erroneous Joseph Prince is,

the major event in my life with my father became a giant wake-up call, and I finally decided to leave New Creation Church.

In January 2023, I chanced upon Rev. George Ong channel on YouTube

and realised that Joseph Prince was not just erroneous on a few topics

but he’s also a serial liar and it’s really exposed in so many of his sermons.

For example, and I will just mention one here, Rev. George Ong exposed Joseph Prince

on calling the ten sons of Leah, Bilhah and Zilpha are the ten sons of slaves,

while the two sons of Rachel, namely Joseph and Benjamin, are the two sons of the legal wife.

Leah is not a slave; Leah is the first wife of Jacob, and Rachel, the second.

But Joseph Prince just invented his own theory to support his doctrine that these ten sons of the slaves represent the Ten Commandments of God and that they’re not for us.

But I knew this!

I knew this since kindergarten days in Sunday School!

How could I, along with many listeners of Joseph Prince,

became so blinded and deceived as to nod and say yes to all of his rubbish?

Why do the four sisters, who are my good friends, and I (initially), who know the scriptures fairly well,

did not realise all the rubbish that Joseph Prince has been teaching?

It is only now that I am convinced that we were all blinded.

We must be blinded by a certain deceptive spirit that Joseph Prince exudes that is not of God.

In fact, I am not ashamed to share that one of the main reasons why I first came to Singapore in July 2017

was that I was attracted to Joseph Prince’s charisma and teachings so that I must move to Singapore to attend New Creation Church.

Additionally, I really want to warn people

that there is such a thing as being charmed by some strange spirit in Joseph Prince that is not of God, or the Holy Spirit,

so that people can wake up to this fact.

This explains why many people, whom you think shouldn’t have been influenced by Joseph Prince’s rubbish are fully influenced.

They include people who are leaders of churches, professors of universities and Pastors themselves.

There is one particular group of people that I can’t help but shake my head for, is the Jewish people in Israel.

Joseph Prince had been very proud that he got some air time with some channel of their local TV (in Israel) and his sermons are translated into Hebrew.

But to share about Jesus in the manner that Joseph Prince has done to them,

is doing more harm than doing nothing. This is a gross offence!

In the past, I referred to Joseph Prince as Pastor Prince,

but not anymore because he’s not a pastor.

Lately, I have been thinking, what if Joseph Prince is the preacher of the broad way and of the wide gate?

And yet Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 (which is not for Christians according to Joseph Prince because it’s in the Sermon on the Mount and it happened before the Cross):

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

No wonder Joseph Prince’s teaching is very easy.

Now, not only is he not a Pastor to me,

he is a heretic and a wolf in sheepskin,

who deceives people into thinking that he is preaching the Jesus of the Bible or the true gospel.

But he is preaching a different Jesus and a different gospel that may lead to destruction.

I have to admit, with what I have perused from the resources on Rev. George Ong’s website,

Rev. George Ong has opened my eyes much wider than before

about the heresies of Joseph Prince,

and that I have made the right decision that I already left New Creation Church.

I am so blessed and comforted by many of Rev. George Ong’s videos for now, and would definitely spend time reading more on his website.

Thank you very much to Rev. George Ong, for his work of calling out and rescuing people from the destructive teachings of Joseph Prince, I fully appreciate it.

Last but not least, I want to encourage other Ex New Creation Church members to come forward to share their testimonies

so that more people who are influenced by Joseph Prince’s heresies could be delivered from them.

I, myself, have told Rev. George Ong that it is not a shame for me to share my testimony,

because I sincerely wish that those who read my testimony,

will come out of Joseph Prince’s heretical teachings before it is too late.

What brings me the most joy at this juncture of my life,

is for people like Kristen Jane Lin,

and other Ex New Creation Church members,

such as Yvonne Tan, Andrew Tan, Peter Tok and Tony Wong-Jensen,

whom I have personally impacted,

to be convinced that Joseph Prince is a heretic, preaching heresies.

And if these 5 Ex New Creation Church members and also others (Ex NCC) such as,

Glenn Fong, Lindsay Lim, Daniel Tay, Dr Chris Kang, Asher Chee, Ivy Bong, Nicholas and Aaron Khoo,

who sat under Joseph Prince’s ministry, some for 20 years, some 18 years, 15 years, etc,

and are mature believers who know the scriptures,

have declared Joseph Prince to be a heretic,

why did a Singapore Methodist Bishop

and a Singapore Presbyterian Pastor

said Joseph Prince isn’t a heretic?

These Ex New Creation Church members are not the only ones who have declared that Joseph Prince is a heretic,

the following ministers have also done so publicly:

Bishop Ho Chee Sin (Methodist), Bishop Kuan Kim Seng (Anglican), Bishop Andrew Phang (Anglican), Dr Roland Chia (Methodist), Rev Tan Cheng Huat (Presbyterian), Canon Rev James Juhari (Anglican), Rev David Liew (Methodist), Rev Lawrence Yam (Baptist), Rev Eric Chua (Presbyterian), Arnold Rajan (Pentecostal), Rev Eric Lee (Assembly of God), Rev Kelvin Jawa (Anglican), Rev Momoh Sylvester Foh (Lutheran), Rev Goutam Datta, Rev Wilston Trin (Anglican), Rev William Patrick (Assembly of God), Pastor Dr Albert S K Chia (Independent), Elder Ng Tah Wee (Presbyterian), Dr Simon Chong (Methodist), etc,

whose articles are also featured on this website.

And whether people believe me or not,

I have no personal agenda,

but my purpose in contending against Joseph Prince

is to rescue people from his heresies

so as to avoid being destroyed.

Those who have been reading my articles on this website will obviously be aware,

that my journey of exposing Joseph Prince’s heresies has not been an easy one.

But just remember that what you and I have gone through or will ever go through in life,

is nothing (it’s peanuts and pittance)

as compared with what the Lord Jesus and the Apostle Paul had to go through.

What is heartening for me is to know that

I am doing the right thing, and it has to be done,

and it has to be done fiercely and forcefully,

with the toughest language and the strongest denunciation,

even though it could be one of the most unpopular and unpleasant things to do.

I am glad to have none other than Martyn Lloyd-Jones and RC Sproul,

both of whom are spiritual giants in Bible exposition

to bear me out.

In ‘An Exposition of Ephesians 4:1-16, Christian Unity,’ Martyn Lloyd-Jones said;

“Finally, we are taught here, as elsewhere,

that all false teaching is to be hated and opposed.

We are told in the New Testament

that it was hated by our Lord and all the apostles,

and that they opposed it and warned the people against it.

But I ask again; is that being done today?

What about your personal attitude towards this?

Are you one of those people who says that there is no need for those negatives,

and that we should be content with a positive presentation of the truth?

Do we subscribe to the prevailing teaching

which dislikes warnings and the criticizing of false teachings?

Do you agree with those who say that a spirit of love

is incompatible with the negative

and critical denunciation of blatant error,

and that we must always be positive.

The simple answer to such an attitude

is that the Lord Jesus Christ

denounced evil and denounced false teachers.

I repeat that He (Jesus) denounced them as

‘ravening wolves’ and ‘whited sepulchres’, and as ‘blind guides’.

The Apostle Paul said of some of them,

‘whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame’.

That is the language of the Scriptures.

There can be little doubt but that the Church is as she is today

because we do not follow New Testament teaching and its exhortations,

and confine ourselves to the positive and the so-called ‘simple Gospel’,

and fail to stress the negatives and the criticisms.

The result is that people do not recognize error when they meet it.

They accept what appears to be nice, and are impressed by those who come to their doors speaking about the Bible and offering books about the Bible and prophecy and so on.

In their ignorant child-like condition

they often help to propagate the false teaching because they see nothing wrong in it.

Moreover, they do not realize

that error is to be hated and to be denounced.

Imagining themselves to be full of a spirit of love,

they are beguiled by Satan, the predatory beast who was on their track, and who has suddenly caught them and pounced upon them in his cleverness and subtlety.

It is not pleasant to be negative;

it is not enjoyable to have to denounce and to expose error.

But any pastor who feels in a little measure, and with humility,

the responsibility which the Apostle Paul knew in an infinitely greater degree,

for the souls and the wellbeing spiritually of his people

is compelled to utter these warnings.

It is not liked and appreciated in this modern flabby generation,

but if it is not done

the people will be beguiled by false teachers ‘as the serpent beguiled Eve’.”

In ‘An Exposition of Ephesians 5:18-6:9, Life in the Spirit,’ Martyn Lloyd-Jones said;

“A heretic was not allowed to remain in the church;

he was to be put out, they were not to have fellowship with him.”

“Then you will remember what we read in the second chapter of Galatians about what Paul did to Peter.

Peter was not quite as clear in his mind, and in his understanding, as Paul over the question of eating with those who had not been circumcised.

The Peter who had been so prominent was wrong in his teaching at this point.

What did the Apostle Paul do?

Did he submit himself to Peter, in the fear of Christ, and say,

‘Well, who am I to argue with Peter? After all, he was one of the innermost three in the circle that were with Christ. I was never with Christ in the flesh; I was then a blasphemer and a Pharisee. Who am I to stand up against a great man like Peter? I must just say nothing, I must listen in silence and pray; and then we must work together in a spirit of amity and cooperation?’

How monstrous!

On the contrary, Paul says,

‘I with-stood him to the face’.

He corrected Peter in public because Peter was wrong, and the whole future of the Church was in jeopardy.”

“‘Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ’

does not mean that you accommodate yourself to wrong teaching and doctrine,

that you say nothing when falsehood is being propagated.

No! for that is a denial of all the New Testament.

Not only that, it is a denial of some of the most glorious epochs and eras in the Christian church.

What are the mountain peaks in church history?

Here is one: Athanasius contra mundum.

Athanasius had to stand alone

against the whole world on the doctrine of the Person of Christ.

Martin Luther – what was he doing?

Well, here was a man standing absolutely alone

against the great Papist church and fifteen centuries of tradition.

Of course, what people said to him was this:

‘Who are you? Why do you not submit yourself in the fear of Christ?’ ‘Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ” – Who are you?’

And yet he stood and said,

‘I can do no other, so help me God’!

Why?

Because the Spirit had enlightened him.

Luther was right, the church was wrong.”

In my last article, I said that

Joseph Prince is a Lone Ranger Heretic,

as none of the Church fathers nor any of the esteemed Bible teachers can agree with his false teachings on grace.

Also, none (or very few) of the Singapore Pastors are in regular fellowship with him,

and none of the Singapore Pastors and churches (or very few) will dare to recommend any believer to New Creation Church,

or publicly state that they support or endorse Joseph Prince’s grace teachings.

But are there other instances

when it is perfectly sane and scriptural to be alone?

Is there a historical precedent

that challenges us that we must be prepared to be alone?

Of course!

Martyn Lloyd-Jones has so aptly described it in the above,

that when it comes to false teachings,

we must be prepared to stand alone

even though the whole Church is against us.

I am glad that in my battle against Joseph Prince’s heresies,

I do not have to stand alone

as there are many Pastors and believers, who are still with me.

Rev David Liew, is just one fine example,

who stood solidly with me, even today.

We just had a few exchanges of greetings 2 days ago.

And Rev David Liew wrote to me

that though it’s tough to take a strong stand,

not just against Joseph Prince,

but also against the Singapore Church leadership,

we had to do it.

Rev David Liew further wrote

that it’s all about God and His kingdom,

and we are just His servants and watchmen doing our part.

But if there ever comes a day where we must stand alone,

even against the institutional Church,

I pray that we will have the moral courage and the spiritual guts

to utter those glorious words of Martin Luther,

‘I can do no other, so help me God’!

RC Sproul, in ‘Romans, St Andrew’s Expositional Commentary,’ wrote;

“We are called not only to profess our faith in Christ

but also to defend the faith of Christ to the world around us.

Beyond the responsibility of professing and defending the faith,

we are called to contend for the faith.

That is where many Christians get off the boat.

“I will profess my faith and even defend it,

but do not ask me to contend for it.

I will not get in the arena and fight for the truths of the gospel.”

We are not to have a contentious spirit, where we fight over every point of doctrine and engage in battle at the drop of a hat,

but where the gospel is under siege in any generation, where the controversy is hot and the truth of the gospel is at stake,

every Christian is called to contend with all his might.”

RC Sproul said that the call to contend for the faith

is not just the Pastor’s responsibility,

but also the responsibility of every Christian.

But the sad thing is that we hardly see this happening in the contemporary church.

Why?

Because they don’t have good examples to follow

as their Pastors themselves aren’t even doing it.

2. Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

How could I, along with many listeners of Joseph Prince,

became so blinded and deceived as to nod

and say yes to all of his rubbish?

Think with me: any Christian, especially the mature ones, would have seen through the heretical teachings of Joseph Prince.

But why are there so many, especially in New Creation Church who can’t?

The simple and honest answer is that they have been spiritually blinded

by a spirit that is not of God

but a demonic spirit that exudes from Joseph Prince.

Aaron Khoo, an Ex New Creation Church member for 11 years wrote;

“Even at that time when I attended New Creation Church,

I had already realised that many of the doctrines that Pastor Prince preached were unsound and clearly false,

as they were against the scriptures.

But that did not push me to leave the church, as I felt comfortable staying with it.

I felt that I should leave, but I made no effort to leave, and I continued to stay on.

One reason could be the unseen forces in the realm of the demonic

that lull me into a state of complacency and comfort

so that I continue to remain in New Creation Church,

even though I am aware that many of the doctrines taught by Pastor Prince are false.

And if God had not allowed me to go through an unpleasant incident with New Creation Church, which drove me to leave,

I might well have stayed on.

So, we need to pray against such a spirit of demonic control

that has continued to put many people at New Creation Church under bondage

– that they kept on staying in New Creation Church,

even though they knew things were amiss doctrinally concerning the sermons of Pastor Prince.

Pray that they would be delivered from the control of such a spirit,

and have the courage to leave New Creation Church and never return again.”

Ivy Bong, an Ex New Creation Church member wrote;

“In my opinion, the magnetic charisma to be solely drawn to Joseph Prince

and his teachings instead of the word of God

is not normal.

It certainly has something in relation to demonic forces in which people are being brainwashed

and would feel uncomfortable if they were to stop listening or attending the church services.

It is as though they are bound and would struggle to accept anything that is different from his teachings.

Tony Wong-Jensen, an Ex New Creation Church member wrote;

“I still cannot believe how I was charmed and taken in by Joseph Prince.

It must have been the satanic powers of charm that he exercises on people.”

Lindsay Lim, an Ex New Creation Church member for 18 years wrote;

“All this while when I was in NCC, I could not detect Joseph Prince’s wrong teachings

even though they were clearly false.

It was only after I left the church, that God began to reveal to me slowly but surely.

I believe this had to do with the dark spiritual forces (sin of witchcraft) that blinded me from the truth

when I chose to remain in NCC then.”

“Many have told me that Joseph Prince must be right since he is blessed by God as he has the biggest church in Singapore and one of the biggest ministries in the world right now.

But I have to disagree when I read the passage from Matthew 4:1-11

as Satan can also bless anyone with fame, popularity and wealth when this person chooses to worship him and do his biddings.”

“As I have shared earlier, this has to do with the dark spiritual forces (sin of witchcraft) that can blind them,

as they had blinded me (for 18 years) from the truth and keep them under the bondage of Joseph Prince’s heresies.”

Yvonne Tan, an Ex New Creation Church member for 20 years, wrote;

“I never thought I would ever be sitting under a false teacher, such as Joseph Prince, and always think that Jesus’ warning sounds very remote for me.

Surely, I would have the spiritual discernment to know who are the false prophets or pick out false teachings if I ever heard one.

Yet for 20 years, I thought I was hearing God’s Word preached by Joseph Prince, week after week.

It was like I was so spiritually blinded

and many friends I knew from NCC who came from all walks of life thought they were hearing God’s Word being revealed by Joseph Prince and never doubted him.

I do believe there are certain dark spiritual forces and powers that Joseph Prince wields over his listeners,

and this is what that keeps me and the rest spiritually blinded from seeing the truth.”

Daniel Tay, an Ex New Creation Church member wrote;

“As I and my family continued to go to New Creation Church, we became more influenced by his teachings.

We looked forward to hear his sermons every week.

It was like a spell that came over us

– like the Hokkien phrase, ‘Kong Tow’ or black magic.

It’s like we are given some kind of spiritual drug.

Because of this spell,

our whole family has very good feelings when we see and hear him.

We were actually hooked to him and his teachings.

So, after 2 months in New Creation Church,

all of us were spellbound.

We all loved Joseph Prince’s teachings and we all looked forward to hear of his new revelations. My daughter started to buy Joseph Prince’s books and CDs.

But I later discovered these are false teachings.”

“For 4 months, we were spellbound by a deceptive and seducing spirit of Joseph Prince.

I call it the demonic and Antichrist spirit.

One day, God woke me up. My daughter gave me a set of audio tapes of Joseph Prince and encouraged me to continue listening to his teachings, especially when I was driving. That’s what I did.

But that day, when I heard his preaching, strangely, I felt a very uncomfortable stirring in my heart. It was like a mixture of anxiety and fear.

As I heard more of his preaching, I felt like vomiting.

Then I realised that Joseph Prince’s sermons are of a different spirit – a demonic spirit.

So I had to stop listening. Then I switched on my mobile and scrolled in the Bible app, wanting to listen to the reading of the scriptures.

When I started listening, I felt such great peace come into my heart. Then immediately I know that the Holy Spirit ‘has risen up in me’ to wake me up. Thank God!”

That night at home I prayed to God. Then I heard an inner voice telling me to go to YouTube and search for Joseph Prince, the false teacher. That’s what I did.

Then I saw a long list on YouTube, all talking about Joseph Prince being a false teacher, he’s a heretic, he’s the son of Satan, he’s a wolf in sheepskin. I then realised that there are a lot of people warning about Joseph Prince.

That night, God delivered me out of Joseph Prince’s spell.

Praise God! God is so powerful. Once He rises up, no evil, no wicked, no seducing or demonic spirit can stand against God. God is Almighty!”

“I continue to pray that one day they (my family) will come to their senses

and be delivered from Joseph Prince’s demonic spell.

If you are still attending New Creation Church, let me warn you lovingly to come out of her.

You have no business to be in a church

that is led by Joseph Prince

who has been empowered by the devil to cast a spell over people

and deceive many to their destruction.”

Just think – when Joseph Prince has been preaching stark heresies,

how is he able to deceive the millions (including mature believers, spiritual leaders and even bishops),

not just in Singapore but also from around the world?

How is Prince able to hoodwink people (including well-educated people) with such bizarre doctrine,

that (only one example) if one takes the Holy Communion as frequently as 3 times a day as he takes medicine, he/she will not only be healthy

but will also retain his/her youthful looks

and be blessed with good looks?

It must be the devil who has given him the power to do it.

The testimonies of Ex New Creation Church members such as,

Kristen Jane Lin, Aaron Khoo, Ivy Bong, Tony Wong-Jensen, Lindsay Lim, Yvonne Tan and Daniel Tay,

who shared about the demonic spell, or a seducing spirit, or satanic charm

that Joseph Prince can cast over you,

has again confirmed what I said all this time

that Joseph Prince is empowered by the devil,

and that’s why he is able to enchant and deceive millions around the world,

even though he is preaching rubbish.

Let me quote again what Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

This must be the work of a demonic spirit

that has to do with Joseph Prince

that has played a big part,

first, blinding her to Joseph Prince’s heresies,

and second, in getting her to make the challenging decision

by moving from one country to another,

all because of one person, called Joseph Prince.

3. Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

I realised that Joseph Prince has always been teaching extremely wrong ideas about Jesus in the DDOM.

Of course, Joseph Prince never calls it DDOM,

because to him, it is Jesus, which is not true.

Joseph Prince often argues that because he often uses the name of Jesus and frequently mentions Christ all over the place in his sermons,

he is Christ-centred.

That’s the picture that most who loved him and his preaching have of him, and they would say to me,

“George, how dare you say Pastor Joseph Prince is not Christ-centred when he calls out the name of Christ so often in every sermon and he sees Christ in every passage.”

I do not have problems with Joseph Prince preaching Christ in the passages that talk about Him,

but only if he doesn’t twist the scripture

to artificially and dishonestly fit Christ into the various texts, as he often does.

(He does the same with the word ‘grace’ too.)

If the argument that a preacher is Christ-centred just because he sees Christ in most of every passage

that he can even be allowed to twist and read into the text to artificially fit Christ in,

that to me, is sick logic.

Instead of making Christ happy,

that will make Him angry

because His name has been abused and misused.

Joseph Prince needs to know

that Christ doesn’t need his help to promote Him in that artificial and dishonest manner.

The real truth is that Joseph is more Me-centred than Christ-centred

as he is abusing and misusing the name of Christ,

not to promote Christ

but to promote himself

and his Pseudo-grace or Super-grace doctrine.

4. Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

First, Joseph Prince frequently boasts about the many testimonies that his grace theology has set people free from their bondage.

However, if there are tragic testimonies that people’s lives have been wrecked because they practise his teachings, he is never going to tell you,

and he would immediately disclaim responsibility if they were to come out in the open.

One perfect example is Olivia Lum, the founder of Hyflux, and the second example is Kristen’s father.

As for myself, I have many people who came to tell me about how the lives of their relatives and friends were wrecked

because they came under the influence of Joseph Prince’s teachings.

One Christian lady personally told me that her son-in-law, who is a believer, committed adultery and is still with the woman

because he was convinced by Joseph Prince’s theology

that all our sins have been forgiven: past, present and future,

and that our salvation can never be lost, no matter what.

Another sister, who is a believer, shared with me that her husband had committed adultery for several years.

And during the period of his adultery, guess where he was worshipping?

At Joseph Prince’s church.

A Christian brother told me that when his wife committed adultery, where were she and her lover worshipping?

They were raising their hands worshipping God (as unrepentant adulterers; and Joseph Prince preaches a no-repentance gospel) at Joseph Prince’s church.

These occurrences are not at all surprising because of Joseph Prince’s teachings

that all their future sins have been forgiven (including adulterous sins),

and that Christians can never lose their salvation (even if they have committed adultery without repenting).

Mind you, these 3 cases

are just a few of the many first-hand accounts of similar stories that I have personally heard.

Second, you mustn’t miss Melissa Thangavellu’s sober testimony

– about how one of her family members, who was influenced by Joseph Prince’s teachings,

sank into emotional toxicity, unforgiveness and bitterness in the lead-up to her demise.

If this testimony doesn’t move you to warn others about Joseph Prince’s teachings and for others to repent and come out of New Creation Church, nothing else would.

Third, I have already featured this before, but I am going to do it again for those who missed it.

Please read the tragic story of one who embraced Joseph Prince’s teachings

only to commit adultery and died from drug overdose

on Michael Fackerell’s website (italics):

YOUNG MAN EMBRACES HYPER-GRACE TEACHING, GOES ON DRUGS, DIES OF OVERDOSE

“Hello Michael; I just read the article on Joseph Prince and it moved me because I didn’t know anyone else felt the same as I.

My son-in-law began following Ps Prince about 2 years ago.

He became very worldly after in-grafting himself into the new GRACE movement,

that teaches sin has no consequences anymore because Christ paid for it.

He committed adultery and produced a love child from it.

He got on drugs all while closely following Ps Prince.

I tried to talk to him about the God who he once knew, his reply was,

‘I don’t believe like that anymore.’

This started in 2011 and on Jan. 27, 2013, he overdosed.

I tried so many times to tell him about the msg Ps Prince gives is incorrect.

I can never have another chance to talk to him, but I thank you for exposing false doctrines to the public.

Thank you again and God bless.”

Fourth, Rev Arnold Rajan, Senior Pastor of City Tabernacle KL, Malaysia wrote;

A pastor once shared with me about a couple (not from NCC) who were devout and active in church but somehow came under the influence of the “hyper-grace” teaching,

the same heresy that Prince is promoting.

This couple now are both having affairs and don’t see anything wrong with it

because God had already forgiven them and their immoral living is no sin at all.

Rev Arnold Rajan’s comments are found on the link below;

5. Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

I see in this passage many things, first, strive and practice,

instead of just listen and listen and listen like Joseph Prince always says

(and for most of the time, he is asking us to listen to his sermons instead of other pastors/other churches sermons,

but do you know that you have to purchase them?

Recently, there are many of his newest full sermons available on YouTube because of his program called the Grace Partner,

but in order for that to happen, the “Grace Partners” need to pay.);

Have you figured out by now why Joseph Prince is so rich today?

The reason is that he has been promoting the sales of his sermon videos indirectly,

through his ‘listen, listen, listen’ marketing strategy,

and the world is his market.

In my last article, I highlighted what Paul Washer said in a video.

Paul Washer said;

“You notice this, some of you need to hear this.

because sooner or later, they find out the only one getting rich

is the preacher.”

Though Joseph Prince, the preacher, is a very wealthy guy,

the same cannot be said for most of his fans.

6. Kristen Jane Lin wrote;

I realised that Asher experienced quite the same thing as I: deciding to study Hebrew because of Joseph Prince,

but then found out that Joseph Prince is so wrong and has been blundering out nothing but false teaching.
