Unity with Joseph Prince by the Singapore Pastors cannot be based just on relationship but doctrine & character – By Rev George Ong (Dated 9 Oct 2023)
ANNOUNCEMENT:
For those who have missed a 6-minute video the previous time,
about the 10 lies that Joseph Prince told,
don’t miss it this time, as it is somewhere in this article.
EXCERPTS FROM THE ARTICLE:
In conclusion,
for some of you may be thinking that I am the only one who called out Joseph Prince as a false prophet or a heretic;
you are probably quite uninformed.
There were 11 Local Bishops/Pastors/Theologian who have written or said in sermons that Joseph Prince is a false teacher:
Bishop Ho Chee Sin, Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, Rev Henry Hong, Rev Tan Cheng Huat, Rev David Liew, Rev Eric Chua, Rev Yang Tuck Yuen, Rev Lawrence Yam, Pastor Jason Lim, Dr Roland Chia and Rev Derek Hong:

Rev Derek Hong
Even if you don’t agree with me,
I do hope that you would seriously consider what these 11 had written or said – that Joseph Prince is a false teacher.
Having an official lunch with Joseph Prince once in a long while is one thing.
But if any Singapore Pastor takes one step further to fellowship with him on a regular basis,
even though he had not even recanted or repented from his heresies,
this Pastor would have disobeyed what the scripture teaches and go against what men of God
such as Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Stott, JC Ryle, John MacArthur, RC Sproul and John Piper had spoken about.
And finally, let’s hope Joseph Prince would repent from his heresies.
If that were to happen, I would say from the bottom of my heart
that that would be one of my happiest days on earth.
Please believe me, as I’m not putting on a show.
This is because Joseph Prince would be saved from damnation
and God’s glory would be magnified many times over
as the giftings of Joseph Prince
would be put in the hands of God, not Satan,
and multitudes of true conversions, not false conversions,
would be won through his ministry.
If Joseph Prince chooses to continue preaching his heresies then my battle with his heresies would go on,
unless God Himself commands me to stop and I would most gladly do so.
Why?
You must know how much has this taken from me over the last 6 years:
day and night, without much sleep on many days,
my blood, sweat, tears and money.
But don’t panic for me.
Though I work very hard, I rest very hard too,
or I won’t be able to last for the last 6 years.
Thank God for His strength to persevere.
(This article was also sent to Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian, General Secretary, National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) office, and for the attention of the Executive Committee Members.)
On 6 Oct 2023, last Friday, something eventful took place:
“More than 300 pastors and leaders from about 140 churches and organisations gathered today for Kumbayah, the first ever inter-denominational pastors’ appreciation lunch.”
“In the spirit of unity, Kumbayah is jointly hosted by LoveSingapore, the Alliance of Pentecostal & Charismatic Churches (APCCS) and Evangelical Alliance of Singapore (EAS) with the support of the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS).”
“Among the attendees were more than 90 spouses of the leaders; they were recognised and honoured at Kumbayah as the unsung heroes behind the ministries.”
I fully support the efforts of these thoughtful Pastors in Singapore who cared to build unity and trust amongst themselves.
I say a hundred Hallelujahs and Amens to the unity event that was held on 6 Oct 2023.
We need more, not less of such unity and unifying meetings, especially among the Pastors.
The excellent example set by these Singapore Pastors will set the tone for their congregations to unite with members of other churches, regardless of denomination.
Well, there was one surprise, though – Joseph Prince also turned up.
I was given to understand by a trusted and reliable source that Joseph Prince doesn’t or hardly attend such meetings.
In fact, this particular Pastor told me he was very surprised that Joseph Prince turned up.
But why?
I believe this is due to the following reasons.
For those who regularly follow my articles you would have realised that in the last two months,
I have been saying that Joseph Prince is a Lone Ranger.
He is a Lone Ranger, because to my knowledge, no Singapore Pastor (or no true Evangelical Pastor in the world, for that matter) would hold to or agree with much of the doctrinal rubbish that he has been teaching:
such as taking the Holy Communion not only makes you younger but also better looking;
like, you can decide how long you wish to live, and God will have to grant you that wish, etc.
I also said Joseph Prince is a Lone Ranger as I do not know of any Singapore Pastor in regular fellowship with him.
If you exercise your common sense, these statements I made are very damaging to Joseph Prince.
Also, what Rev Derek Hong, a veteran and well-respected Pastor in Singapore, has recently written about his heretical teachings has made it worse for him.
So, Joseph Prince is feeling the pressure, and he is trying to get into fellowship with fellow Pastors slowly but surely, perhaps, starting with this event.
He has to start to shake off this accusation of mine – that if he is preaching the true grace doctrine, why is it that no Singapore Pastors are in regular fellowship with him?
Let me hold this for a while, and I will talk about Joseph Prince throughout the course of this article.
As I have said, the unity lunch on 6 Oct 2023 by the Singapore Pastors is to be joyously celebrated and heartily supported.
But we have to raise some pertinent questions.
Does Christian unity sweep everything under the carpet, such as doctrinal untruths, heretical teachings and major character flaws
– all of which Joseph Prince is guilty of?
Charles Spurgeon rejected unity with professing Christian slaveholders, with major character flaws, stating:
“I do from my inmost soul detest slavery anywhere and everywhere,
and although I commune at the Lord’s table with men of all creeds,
yet with a slaveholder, I have no fellowship of any sort or kind.
Whenever one has called upon me, I have considered it my duty to express my detestation of his wickedness,
and would as soon think of receiving a murderer into my church, or into any sort of friendship, as a manstealer.”
Charles Spurgeon was brave enough not to associate with so-called Christians who were slave owners – who have major character issues.
Matthew 7:15 NASB says:
15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.
Most Bible scholars would generally consider fruit in Matthew 7:20 to represent the false prophet’s false doctrine and his bad character – and that’s how we identify a false prophet.
For those who follow my articles closely on my website you would have come across the many articles I wrote,
proving that many of Joseph Prince’s doctrines were false.
You would also have come across the ‘countless’ times I had highlighted the serious character flaws of Joseph Prince
– that he is a serial hypocrite, serial double-talker and a serial liar.
All these are based on hard evidence of what Joseph Prince said in sermons and what he wrote in his books.
Just as an example, please click here to view the 6-minute video
about the 10 lies that Joseph Prince told.
If the Singapore Pastors could not accept a serial liar from their own congregation,
why can they tolerate this from a so-called Pastor from the largest congregation in Singapore?
Not only Charles Spurgeon, but Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Stott, JC Ryle, John MacArthur, RC Sproul and John Piper
believe that truth and doctrine cannot be sacrificed on the altar of unity.
In “Great Doctrines of the Bible, By Martyn Lloyd-Jones,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“But the second principle is equally clear in the Scriptures,
and that is that unity must be based on doctrine;
it must be doctrinal.
It is said, ‘Let’s all get together.
We can then decide about matters of belief.’
But we cannot have fellowship apart from this unity of doctrine.
There is an even stronger statement in John’s second epistle:
‘If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed; for he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds’ (2 John 10-11).
That is from John, the apostle of love.
The significance he attaches to doctrine and to truth is so great that he says, in effect,
‘You mustn’t receive the man into your house because if you do you’re encouraging him. If you give him a meal and send him on his journey you are encouraging his false doctrine. Don’t do it.’
And if you read John’s first epistle, you will find that all along he is concerned about the same thing.
… And that is on a point of doctrine, remember – doctrine is essential and vital to true fellowship.
So, when we are discussing the question of the unity of the Church,
we must always put in the foremost positions the spiritual and the doctrinal character of the unity.
… as I find it in the Scriptures, and regard it as tragic to note the way
in which Scripture is being twisted and perverted in the interests of a unity which is not a unity.”
George Ong’s comments:
Before I proceed, I want to make it clear that I don’t have any doubts about any Pastor in Singapore who is doctrinally heretical, except for one, Joseph Prince.
So, my comments and objections are not directed at any Pastor in Singapore except Joseph Prince.
If any Singapore Pastor or church seeks unity with Joseph Prince, may I ask, do they know (specifically, not generally) what he preaches?
May I also ask; do they agree with the loads of false teachings that he teaches?
I raise this as I have discovered to my dismay, that many Singapore Pastors don’t know much of Joseph Prince’s teachings.
Let me elaborate on Martyn Lloyd-Jones had said about 2 John 9-11.
The Apostle John teaches that any teacher who does not teach the teaching of Christ,
is not only a false teacher,
but he is considered an unbeliever
who “does not have God;” (2 Jn 9):
2 John 9-11 NIV
9 “Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.”
What is the teaching of Christ?
It not only includes what is listed in 2 Jn 7, but I believe it also includes what Christ has massively taught in the gospels:
2 John 9 GW
9 Everyone who doesn’t continue to teach what Christ taught doesn’t have God. The person who continues to teach what Christ taught has both the Father and the Son.
The Great Commission, the cost of discipleship and many other teachings of Christ are stated in the 4 gospels.
Does Joseph Prince teach on the Great Commission and discipleship?
No, he doesn’t, and he even indirectly preaches against them.
This is because Joseph Prince does not consider all of Jesus’ teachings written in the gospels applicable to New Covenant believers as these occurred before the cross.
He teaches that the gospels are under the Old Covenant and that what Jesus teaches is for Old Covenant people, ie the Jews.
And the Apostle John clearly said that such a person, like Joseph Prince, who
9 “… does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God;”
What else did Apostle John say?
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.”
He commanded that we are not to associate with anyone who does not teach the teachings of Christ (2 Jn 10).
If we do, we are participating in their evil work and in their propagation of false teachings (2 Jn 11).
Yet, there are so many who are not only associating with Joseph Prince, but they are also helping to spread his false teachings to ‘poison’ many innocent others.
These people have clearly shared in the wicked work of Joseph Prince in the spread of false teachings, and they will have to answer to God for every of their ungodly actions (2 Jn 10-11).
Even John, the Apostle of love, strictly prohibited not only hospitality to heretics,
but he stated clearly that we are not even to greet them as that would constitute active participation in their evil and wicked work (2 Jn 9-11):
2 John 9-11 NASB
9 “Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.”
2 John 9-11 CEV
9 “Don’t keep changing what you were taught about Christ, or else God will no longer be with you. But if you hold firmly to what you were taught, both the Father and the Son will be with you. 10 If people won’t agree to this teaching, don’t welcome them into your home or even greet them. 11 Greeting them is the same as taking part in their evil deeds.”
2 John 9-11 NLV
9 “Anyone who goes too far and does not live by the teachings of Christ does not have God. If you live by what Christ taught, you have both the Father and the Son. 10 If a person comes to you with some other kind of teaching, do not take him into your home. Do not even greet him. 11 The person who does has a share in his sins.”
John’s warning about false teachers is no exaggeration.
He is extremely serious as he realises the grave damage and danger that false teachers can pose to the church.
John is firmly uncompromising in his treatment of false teachers.
He forbids the church to extend any form of hospitality, including welcoming them into their house (believers’ residence and/or house churches) and even greeting them.
To welcome false teachers would appear to others that you have tolerated or have accepted their teachings.
Welcoming and greeting them may send the wrong message that we are expressing solidarity with them and that we agree with their teachings.
Not to welcome heretics or to greet them is not about the issue of love, which Apostle John, being the Apostle of love, is certainly aware of.
Love is to be extended to fellow believers and unbelievers.
But if the same hospitality is extended to false teachers, it is nothing but spiritual suicide.
It is nothing but allowing your spiritual enemies who have come with spiritual guns and bombs into your turf to destroy your territory and your flock.
Some less-than-perceptive believers will criticise you for being unloving to false teachers by not extending the hand of friendship to them.
The truth is, if you allow them to come into your fold, you are not showing love to your flock,
knowing full well that the presence of heretics will undermine and contaminate the doctrinal beliefs of your sheep and destroy them spiritually.
It is also, in a sense, not showing love to the false teachers, as by not opposing their false beliefs and by welcoming them instead,
you are, so to speak, giving them the false impression that you agree with their heresies
and thus, there is no chance to turn these heretics away from their doctrinal sins.
It is finally not showing love to God as by allowing the evil of heresies to perpetuate and penetrate the bounds of your spiritual territory,
the truth of orthodox doctrine and the word of God would be undermined and immediately threatened.
John calls the work that false teachers are doing wicked (other translations) or evil (NASB) work,
and any believer who greets them is tantamount to sharing in their wicked or evil work (2 Jn 10-11).
What wicked or evil work?
The work of corrupting people with heretical truths and sending them to their eternal ruin.
There is a true account of a Singapore Bishop who was told to greet Joseph Prince in a common meeting.
But that Bishop wouldn’t budge; he refused to do it knowing full well that Joseph Prince is a heretic,
and he didn’t want to share in Prince’s wicked and evil work by greeting him.
How do I know?
That bishop personally told me.
What is worse is that some sections of the contemporary church do things that are far worse than greeting.
They regularly listen to Joseph Prince’s teachings on videos to learn and apply his brand of grace that he says is the answer to everything.
They encourage others to attend his church.
They criticised those opposing him for the sake of so-called Christian unity,
when there’s no unity to speak about, as Joseph Prince isn’t a fellow shepherd but a dangerous wolf.
Some Pastors say that Joseph Prince isn’t preaching heresy because he accepts the doctrine on the humanity and divinity of Christ.
Yes, but that is only one perspective on the issue.
But do they know what Joseph Prince teaches is worse than that?
In ‘Destined To Reign’, Joseph Prince wrote,
“The new covenant only begins after the cross…”
Since Joseph Prince doesn’t accept the gospels as New Covenant truths
because they happened before the cross,
this means he has also rejected all the evidence about the humanity and divinity of Christ,
which are mainly found in the gospels.
What is worse is that Joseph Prince also rejected the resurrection of Christ
because when Jesus said it, it was before the cross:
John 11:25-26 NIV
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Joseph Prince also rejected that Christ is the way, the truth and the life,
because when Jesus said it, it was before the cross:
John 14:6 NIV
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If Joseph Prince insists that he believes in Jesus’ resurrection and that He is the way to God,
then he must recant what he wrote
in ‘Destined To Reign’,
“The new covenant only begins after the cross…”
But till today, he has refused recant that.
With what I have unveiled,
how can Joseph Prince not be a heretic?
In ‘An Exposition of Ephesians 4:1-16, Christian Unity,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“When he (Paul) says ‘speaking the truth in love’ he does not mean merely being nice and loving.
I am compelled to start with that negative because the text is commonly interpreted today in this fashion.
This has become the controlling idea at the present time in discussions concerning church unity.
Fellowship is put into the first position.
We are told that nothing is as important as fellowship; unity in and of itself is the supreme thing.
… and that at all costs we must put fellowship and unity in the supreme position.
To that end we are told that we must tolerate almost anything and everything;
that as long as a man is nice and loving, and shows a friendly spirit and does good works, especially if he makes a sacrifice in order to do so,
then what he believes or does not believe is comparatively unimportant.
… Doctrinal correctness, they maintain, has been over- emphasized in the past.
… Moreover, it is argued, nothing but a demonstration of this so-called ‘Christian spirit’
will have any effect upon those outside the Church who have no interest whatsoever in doctrine.
… Indeed, to hold doctrinal views strongly and to criticize other views
is virtually regarded as sinful and is frequently described as being ‘sub-Christian’.
This is how the phrase ‘speaking the truth in love’ is being commonly interpreted.
… To put life, or ‘spirit’, or niceness, or anything else, before truth
is to deny essential New Testament teaching;
and in addition is to contradict directly the Apostle’s solemn warning in verse 14.”
In ‘The Message of the Sermon on the Mount by John Stott,’
John Stott wrote:
“The visible unity of the church is a proper Christian quest,
but only if unity is not sought at the expense of doctrine.
Jesus prayed for the oneness of his people.
He also prayed that they might be kept from evil and in truth.
We have no mandate from Christ
to seek unity without purity, purity of both doctrine and conduct.”
In ‘Christ in Conflict: Lessons from Jesus and His Controversies,’
John Stott wrote:
“True unity will always be unity in truth,
and truth means biblical truth.
If only church leaders would sit down with their Bibles,
would make clear distinctions between apostolic traditions (which are biblical)
and ecclesiastical traditions (which are not),
and would agree to submit the latter to the former by requiring the former of each other but giving each other freedom over the latter,
immediate and solid progress could be made.”
George Ong’s comments:
John Stott made the point that the Church must follow the Apostolic traditions.
One such tradition and doctrine must be the requirement of repentance for the forgiveness of sins and salvation.
Both Apostles Peter and Paul preached the same repentance message in the Book of Acts.
But Joseph Prince, who preaches a no-repentance gospel, is preaching heresy as a no-repentance gospel cannot save.
In ‘The Complete Works of JC Ryle,’
JC Ryle wrote:
“Let no man ever persuade you that any religion deserves to be called the Gospel,
in which repentance toward God has not a most prominent place.
… That is no Gospel in which repentance is not a principal thing.
… It is the Gospel of man – but not of God.
… It comes from earth – but not from heaven.
… It is not the Gospel at all;
it is rank antinomianism, and nothing else.
George Ong’s comments:
During the time of JC Ryle (1816-1900) in the 1800s, 200 years before us,
Antinomianism has already been described as a gospel without repentance which Joseph Prince has been preaching.
That is why I have said his doctrinal forefathers are not the Reformation leaders, which he has always tried to claim, but the Antinomian heretics.
The no-repentance gospel preached by Joseph Prince is not the true gospel as it is not the gospel from God.
So, how can one who preaches the false gospel that cannot saved not be a heretic?
In ‘The Complete Works of JC Ryle,’
JC Ryle wrote:
“Necessity of Repentance for forgiveness: Luke 24:46-47
Luke 24:46-47 NIV
46 He (Jesus) told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Let us observe, thirdly, in these verses, what were the first truths which the Lord Jesus bade His disciples preach after he left the world.
We read that “repentance and remission (or forgiveness) of sins” were to be preached in His name among all nations.
Repentance and remission (or forgiveness) of sins are the first things which ought to be pressed on the attention of every man, woman, and child throughout the world
– All ought to be told the necessity of repentance.
All are by nature desperately wicked.
Without repentance and conversion, none can enter the kingdom of God.
… All, not least, ought to be continually reminded,
that repentance and remission (or forgiveness) of sins are inseparably linked together.
Not that our repentance can purchase our pardon. Pardon is the free gift of God to the believer in Christ.
But still it remains true, that a man impenitent
is a man unforgiven.
He that desires to be a true Christian,
must be experimentally acquainted with repentance and remission (or forgiveness) of sins.”
In ‘The Complete Works of JC Ryle,’
JC Ryle wrote:
“Religious divisions of some kind there must always be,
so long as false doctrine prevails, and men will cleave to it.
What communion can there be between light and darkness?
How can two walk together except they be agreed?
What unity can there be where there is not the unity of the Spirit?
Division and separation from those who adhere to false and unscriptural doctrine
is a duty, and not a sin.”
In ‘The Truth War, Fighting for Certainty in an age of Deception,’
John MacArthur wrote:
“Where are the men and women today with the courage to stand alone?
The church in our age has abandoned the confrontive stance.
Instead of overturning worldly wisdom with revealed truth,
many Christians today are obsessed with finding areas of agreement.
The goal has become integration rather than confrontation.
As the church absorbs the values of secular culture, it is losing its ability to differentiate between good and evil.
What will happen to the church if everyone proceeds down the slippery path of public opinion?
It is interesting to speculate what the church would be like today if Martin Luther had been prone to compromise.
The pressure was heavy on him to tone down his teaching, soften his message, and stop poking his finger in the eye of the papacy.
Even many of his friends and supporters urged Luther to come to terms with Rome for the sake of harmony in the church.
Luther himself prayed earnestly that the effect of his teaching would not just be divisive—but that the truth would triumph.
When he nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the church door, the last thing he wanted to do was split the church.
Yet sometimes division is fitting, even healthy.
Especially in times like Luther’s – and like ours – when the visible church seems full of counterfeit Christians,
it is right for the true people of God to declare themselves. There is no room for compromise.
Discernment demands that we hold biblical convictions with the most fervent tenacity.
Titus 1:9 says a basic requirement for every elder is that he be the kind of man who “[holds] fast the faithful word as he has been taught,
that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
… It is thus mandated by God that we take issue with error.
We must refute those who contradict, or we do not fulfill our divine calling.
… We must take an unmovable stance on all issues where the Bible speaks plainly.
What if people don’t like such dogmatism? It is necessary anyway.
Sound doctrine divides, confronts, separates, judges, convicts, reproves, rebukes, exhorts, and refutes error.
None of these things is very highly esteemed in postmodern thought.
But the health of the church depends on our holding firmly to the truth,
for where strong convictions are not tolerated, discernment cannot survive.”
In ‘The Complete Works of JC Ryle,’
JC Ryle wrote:
“It was practical obedience to this saying which produced the blessed Protestant Reformation.
Its lessons deserve close attention.
Do we not see here the duty of boldness in resisting false teaching? Beyond doubt we do.
No fear of giving offence, no dread of ecclesiastical censure, should make us hold our peace, when God’s truth is in peril.
If we are true followers of our Lord, we ought to be out-speaking, unflinching witnesses against error.
… It is at our peril if we submit to unscriptural teaching: our blood will be on our own heads.”
In a sermon, RC Sproul said:
Please click here to view the 2-minute video:
“And one of the most egregious of those problems is the infecting of the congregations with false doctrine.
And I’m amazed in our day and age how little attention we want to give to matters of sound doctrine.
We are perhaps the more relationally-oriented or the most relationally oriented generation of Christians in the history of the church.
What I mean by that is that we want to put so much emphasis on community and fellowship and relationships,
and we see the tendency of doctrine, and doctrinal differences to provoke debate and quarrels and divisions that we’ve come to the place in many circles where we say,
“Oh, we shouldn’t be engaged in the study of doctrine at all because all it does is to end up in controversy and divisions and the like.”
But that idea would be utterly foreign to the thinking of the Apostle Paul
because Paul always saw an unbreakable relationship between a true understanding of the word of God and righteous relationships.
It would have been a false dichotomy for the Apostle to have a wedge driven between doctrine and practice.
And he was very much concerned, as the church was beginning to grow in its own original setting, with the invasion of false teaching.”
In a sermon, John Piper said:
Please click here to view the 2-minute video:
“In fact, I think we’re in such a period of history where it is not easy to be a purity-boy.
Not easy to be a lover of truth in America, in the west today.
It is not easy to take stance because if you take a stand that implies by your stand that others should believe what you believe, you know what you will be accused of.
You’ll accused of arrogance.
And the Bible says that arrogance is the opposite of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4.
And so, if you’re arrogant, you’re not loving and you’re wrecking relationships by taking this stance.
That’s the kind of the air we breathe today.
For many thoughtful people today, the only path to peaceful relationships in a pluralistic world
is the path of no truth that deserves assent from everyone.
Can’t make a claim that the truth you hold deserves belief by everybody.
The only path people can conceive of towards peaceful relationships in a pluralistic milieu is to abandon that kind of dealing in truth.
Now my aim from the Bible in this service is that you would see from the Bible and feel in your bones
the importance of being a purity boy for the sake of being a unity boy.”
In conclusion,
for some of you may be thinking that I am the only one who called out Joseph Prince as a false prophet or a heretic;

Peace-making efforts to build bridges between estranged friends are to be lauded.
But the same endeavour to bring 2 parties together without any regard for doctrine would do more harm than good.
What’s the point of arranging a meeting between say me, or other Pastors for that matter
to meet with Joseph Prince if Joseph Prince refuses to change his doctrinal stand.
Is the aim of this Pastor the following:
“Okay you meet with Joseph Prince and at the end of the day, even if Joseph Prince refuses to change his doctrinal stance, never mind lah, you can still have close fellowship with him from then on, right; friend, friend okay.”
So, in the end, it is clear that this Pastor is not even guided by doctrinal considerations but convenience;
that he just wants people to make up.
That his concern for relationships has overtaken the need for truth and doctrine, which are far more important.
And he thinks he is doing a great job by trying to help friends to make up with Joseph Prince,
even though Prince chooses to be an unrepentant heretic.
Friends, what this particular guy is doing would harm the body of Christ.
If this is the attitude of Pastors in Singapore, then we are in for trouble.
Why?
You must know how much has this taken from me over the last 6 years:
day and night, without much sleep on many days:
my blood, sweat, tears and money.
But don’t panic for me.
Though I work very hard, I rest very hard too,
or I won’t be able to last for the last 6 years.
Thank God for His strength to persevere.
