Excerpt No 1 from the Article:
At this juncture, you must ask a very crucial question,
why did Joseph Prince quote Martin Luther,
knowing very well
that Luther teaches against his grace doctrine?
The reason is Joseph Prince wanted to give the impression
that Martin Luther endorses his doctrine
– that the law is no longer applicable in the New Covenant.
But as we know, the reverse is the case.
Martin Luther contradicts many of Joseph Prince’s teachings,
not just on the law issue but many other issues,
such as God’s judgement, confession of sins,
healing, Holy Communion, etc.
Think with me, would any teacher of the word
quote someone
when that person teaches against the bulk of his teachings?
Of course not!
Then, why did Joseph Prince quote Martin Luther?
It’s all a deceptive ploy of Joseph Prince
to give the people the impression
that Martin Luther agrees with him
that the law has been abrogated.
Can you see how evil this man is – Joseph Prince?
Deception, after deception, after deception,
and even dragging Martin Luther
to be part of his deceptive scheme.
But you must remember this isn’t the first time
Joseph Prince has been exposed by me
for plotting such a deceptive scheme.
Joseph Prince did the same with Martyn Lloyd-Jones.

In ‘an Exposition of Ephesians 4:17 – 5:17, Darkness and Light,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“It is one of the most subtle, dangerous heresies
that can ever be offered to men and women.
… and the argument that the law has got nothing to do with us
is a case of the devil appearing as an angel of light.”

Do you know what that means?
That means according to Martyn Lloyd-Jones
Joseph Prince who teaches
that the law has got nothing to do with us
is not only promoting a dangerous heresy,
but he comes from the devil himself
appearing as an angel of light.
Joseph Prince has the cheek to accuse others
of being an angel of light that comes from the devil
when he said:
“The devil comes, especially like an angel of light,
trying to bring back the law in your life.
Trying to bring back the law in your life.
Trying to bring back the law in your life.
Because he comes as an angel of light
even through a preacher, Amen,”
when he is the real angel of light
who comes from the devil.
If Martyn Lloyd-Jones declared
that Joseph Prince is preaching a dangerous heresy
and hails from the devil himself,
how can he not be a wolf in sheepskin?
How can a Singapore Methodist Bishop
and a Singapore Presbyterian Pastor
say that he is not a heretic?
And how can the National Council of Churches of Singapore
(NCCS) continue to remain nonchalantly silent,
without a prick on their conscience,
when the multitudes of souls are being led to hell
by the heretical doctrine of Joseph Prince?

In the sermon preached on 1 Sep 2024, 2 days ago,
Joseph Prince said;
“And these are not my words.
These are the words of Martin Luther,
who says anyone who understand
the difference between law and grace
is a true Bible student. Amen.”
Joseph Prince quoted Martin Luther.
Yet, he is so crafty
that he didn’t give you the context or more details
about what Luther said.
But Joseph Prince’s real intention
is to slander Martin Luther
by insinuating that what Luther meant
was that because grace has come,
the law is no longer relevant.
Although this is the position of Joseph Prince,
this is definitely not Luther’s position, nor that of his critics.
In the same sermon on 1 Sep 2024, 2 days ago,
Joseph Prince also said;
“So, guess what?
The devil comes, especially like an angel of light,
trying to bring back the law in your life.
Trying to bring back the law in your life.
Trying to bring back the law in your life.
Because he comes as an angel of light
even through a preacher, Amen.
And it sounds like he’s so noble, you know people,
we got to raise our standard.”
In the same sermon on 1 Sep 2024, 2 days ago,
Joseph Prince further said;
“And then comes the Ten Commandments, the big ten.
By the way, those who insist on you
keeping the Ten Commandments,
you asked them what’s the third?
What’s the fifth?
Ummmm.
What’s the sixth?
Ummmm.
You see, the Holy Spirit doesn’t seem to help them
memorise the Ten Commandments.”
Let me expose Joseph Prince,
the persistent liar and slanderer
by laying before you
the many quotes of Martin Luther.
After you have perused the following quotes,
you will come to the unmistakable conclusion
that Martin Luther’s position
is that there is a place for the law
for New Covenant believers.
This is a total contradiction to Joseph Prince’s position
that the law has become obsolete in the New Covenant.
In ‘Works of Martin Luther, Vol. 5,’
Martin Luther said:
“Those who are not of this sort
ought not to count themselves Christians,
and they ought not to be comforted,
as one comforts Christians,
with much talk about the forgiveness of sins
and the grace of Christ,
as the Antinomians do.
For they, rejecting
and not understanding the Ten Commandments,
preach much about the grace of Christ instead.
They strengthen and comfort those who remain in sins,
telling them that they shall not fear sins
or be terrified at them,
since through Christ,
these are all done away.”
George Ong’s comments:
Martin Luther made the point that those Antinomians,
such as Joseph Prince,
who preached on the forgiveness and the grace of Christ
but rejected the Ten Commandments,
are not Christians in the first place.
If Joseph Prince isn’t a Christian to start with,
how can he be preaching the true gospel?
And how can those who supposedly accept Christ
through Joseph Prince’s grace message
be really saved?
In a teaching session, George Ong said;
“So, I’m just showing an example
how the modern church has been affected already
with justification-only (salvation).
That’s why it’s so easy for Joseph Prince to deceive them.
Because we also wrongly think
that the (justification-only) salvation
is preached by the Reformation Fathers.
But I’ve already shown you;
do you know that Martin Luther fought against
the theological fathers of Joseph Prince.
He (Luther) fought against the Antinomians.
The Antinomians are around, years ago already.
He (Luther) fought against these people
because they wanted to do away
with the moral law (Ten Commandments).
And Martin Luther fought against this group of people
– Joseph Prince’s theological ancestors.
So, a lot of people thought
he’s (Joseph Prince) is teaching Martin Luther’s doctrine.”
In ‘Sermons of Martin Luther, Vol. 4,
Martin Luther said:
“Hence those foolish souls (Antinomians)
are entirely wrong,
who allege that the Law is not to be preached
under the New Testament dispensation…
… But besides, we must bear in mind
that the doctrine of the Law
is not to be entirely done away with,
even in the case of those who are Christians,
inasmuch as Christians must exercise themselves
in daily repentance,
because they still live in the flesh
which is moved by sinful lusts.
… In the next place,
when we have received such grace and salvation,
have been baptized into Christ and believe,
his will is that we should afterwards live accordingly,
obey God and do what is commanded us
in the Ten Commandments…”
George Ong’s comments:
Joseph Prince teaches
that New Covenant believers have nothing to do
with the moral law in the Ten Commandments,
whereas Martin Luther states that
the law in the Ten Commandments
have everything to do with us,
in that, we are required to obey them
after we become believers.
In ‘Works of Martin Luther Vol. 6,
Martin Luther wrote:
“This law can be done away;
but the Ten Commandments cannot be done away…
… Then, when Christ comes,
the law ceases, especially the Levitical law…
… The Ten Commandments do not cease,
in the sense that they are no longer to be kept or fulfilled,
but Moses’ part in them ceases,
and no longer strengthens sin
by the Ten Commandments,
and sin is no longer the sting of death.
For through Christ sin is forgiven, God is reconciled,
and man’s heart has begun to be inclined to the law.
George Ong’s comments:
Luther categorically wrote that when Christ came,
though the Levitical laws cease,
the Ten Commandments do not cease.
Luther further wrote that New Covenant believers,
who have their sins forgiven and are reconciled to God,
are now inclined to obey the law (Ten Commandments).
But what Joseph Prince teaches
concerning the Ten Commandments
is in total contradiction with what Luther taught.
In ‘Destined To Reign’ Joseph Prince wrote:
“In other words,
with the advent of the new covenant of grace,
the Ten Commandments have been made obsolete.”
In ‘Sermons of Martin Luther Vol. 5,
Martin Luther said:
“In this Gospel Christ answers the question the Pharisees put to him:
Which is the greatest commandment in the Law?
and in turn asks them the question:
What think ye of the Christ, whose son is he?
Thus, this Gospel presents to us
that which we continually hear and should hear,
so that these two sermons
must continue to be preached in Christendom,
namely: the first,
the teaching of the Law or of the Ten Commandments,
and the second,
the doctrine concerning the grace of Christ.
For if either of these falls
it pulls the other with it;
while on the other hand,
wherever the one remains steadfast
and is faithfully put into practice,
it brings the other with it.
And God has ordained
that these two themes shall be preached forever
in the Christian Church,
yea, they have always since the beginning of the world
accompanied one another;
they were given to our father Adam,
while he was still in Paradise,
and were later confirmed through Abraham, Moses and the Prophets.”
… Therefore, it is wrong and not to be allowed,
as some in ancient times said
and as some stupid spirits now say:
‘Although you do not keep the commandment,
and do not love God and your neighbor,
yea, although you are even an adulterer,
that makes no difference,
if you only believe,
then you will be saved.’
No, dear mortal, that amounts to nothing;
you will never thus gain heaven;
it must come to the point
that you keep the commandments,
and abide in love toward God and your neighbor.
… Again, to the Galatians, 5:19-21:
‘Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you,
that those who practice such things,
shall not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, etc.’
… Therefore learn, who can learn, and learn well,
so that we may know, first the Ten Commandments,
what we owe to God.
For if we do not know this,
then we know nothing
and we will not inquire about Christ in the least.”
George Ong’s comments:
Martin Luther stressed that not just the gospel of God’s grace
but the moral law in the Ten Commandments
must also be preached.
This directly contradicts Joseph Prince’s position
that the moral law, the Ten Commandments,
is permanently done away with.
Law (not saved by law but after we are saved by grace)
and grace could and should exist together.
If one is preached to the exclusion of the other,
then both would be ‘pulled down’ in the process.
Note that a few of the Ten Commandments
are contained in Galatians 5:19-21.
Hence, what Luther was saying is that
those who only believe the gospel
but break God’s commandments (in Gal 5:19-21)
in an unrepentant way,
will not enter God’s kingdom.
What this means is that
Joseph Prince who teaches that we only need to believe,
but at the same time,
he denigrates the Ten Commandments
as being obsolete for New Covenant believers to obey,
isn’t preaching the true gospel,
as according to Martin Luther,
those who hear such a gospel
without obeying the Ten Commandments,
will not enter God’s kingdom.
It is not that obeying the Ten Commandments
will save us,
but that keeping these commandments
as an expression and evidence of true faith, would.
But merely believing the gospel
without obeying the Ten Commandments,
which Joseph Prince teaches
only indicates the lack of true saving faith.
In ‘Preface to Luther’s Commentary
on Saint Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians”
Martin Luther wrote:
“But Satan, the god of all dissension,
stirreth up daily new sects,
and last of all,
(which of all other I should never have foreseen or once suspected,)
he hath raised up a sect as such as teach
that the Ten Commandments
ought to be taken out of the church,
and that men should not be terrified by the law,
but gently exhorted by the preaching of the grace of Christ.”
George Ong’s comments:
Martin Luther wrote about a satanic doctrine, Antinomianism,
that was invading the Church of his day.
What Luther described
is exactly what Joseph Prince teaches.
Joseph Prince teaches that the Ten Commandments
are no longer relevant for the church,
and that we must never use the law to terrify;
instead, he, like his Antinomian doctrinal forefathers,
would gently exhort by preaching the grace of Christ.
Just as Luther had stated that the Antinomian doctrine
originated from Satan in his day,
if he were alive today,
he would have no qualms about declaring
that Joseph Prince’s grace doctrine is satanic.
This is because Joseph Prince
is teaching exactly the same doctrine
as his Antinomian ancestors
– that with the advent of grace,
there is no more place
for the moral law in the Ten Commandments.
In the sermon on 1 Sep 2024, 2 days ago,
Joseph Prince said;
“So, guess what?
The devil comes, especially like an angel of light,
trying to bring back the law in your life.
Trying to bring back the law in your life.
Trying to bring back the law in your life.
Because he comes as an angel of light
even through a preacher, Amen.”
Since Martin Luther championed
for the continuance of the moral law
in the Ten Commandments,
Joseph Prince by what he said,
is in a sense (whether he knows it or not)
accusing Luther as the preacher
for wrongly bringing back the law
as an angel of light that is of the devil.
What audacity to have accused Martin Luther
in such a degrading way.
But as I have said, if Luther were alive today,
he would have no qualms about declaring
that Joseph Prince’s grace doctrine is satanic.
In ‘An Exposition of Ephesians 4:17 – 5:17, Darkness and Light,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“It is one of the most subtle, dangerous heresies
that can ever be offered to men and women.
… and the argument that the law has got nothing to do with us
is a case of the devil appearing as an angel of light.”

What Martyn Lloyd-Jones described
is what Joseph Prince has been teaching all along
– that New Covenant people have nothing to do with the law.
Hence, Joseph Prince as described by Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
is the real angel of light representing the devil.
It should be clear to you
that from the teachings of
Martin Luther and Martyn Lloyd-Jones
and the witness of the holy scriptures
that there is a place for the law (not to save us)
in the New Covenant.
And yet, Joseph Prince would stubbornly choose to preach against it.
But what is most reprehensible
is that Joseph Prince has the audacity
to invoke the name of God, the Holy Spirit
to support his heretical position
when he said:
“You see, the Holy Spirit doesn’t seem to help them
memorise the Ten Commandments.”
George Ong’s comments:
Joseph Prince is effectively abusing the Holy Spirit
and taking the name of the Lord in vain.
Joseph Prince
had made a sweeping and blasphemous statement
that the Holy Spirit does not help believers
to memorise the Ten Commandments?
How does he know?
Has he met these people?
Assuming that there are people
whom Joseph Prince have met
who advocate the law but don’t memorise it,
how does he know that the Holy Spirit is the one
who does not want to help them to memorise it
when Joseph Prince said:
“You see, the Holy Spirit doesn’t seem to help them
memorise the Ten Commandments.”
Is Joseph Prince again going to tell us
the sickening rubbish
that God spoke to Him and that he has a hotline to God?
It is so obvious that Joseph Prince
is making up his own story about the issue.
And even if he had met 10 of such people, so what?
Is that enough for him
to make the sweeping and blasphemous statement
that the Holy Spirit does not help believers
to memorise the Ten Commandments?
And by the way, Reinhard Bonkke,
the world-renowned evangelist,
proved Joseph Prince wrong
when in ‘Living a Life of Fire An Autobiography,’
Reinhard Bonnke wrote:
“I had memorized the Ten Commandments.
I knew them by heart.”
At this juncture, you must ask a very crucial question,
why did Joseph Prince quote Martin Luther,

In a sermon, Joseph Prince said;
“So, I was browsing through and I picked up a book at random
by Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
He did a series on Romans.
It just happened that I picked up this book.
And I flipped it at random as well.
And my eyes fell on this:
How come, Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones
who is an English theologian,
great man of God.”
In a teaching session, George Ong said;
“Now, talking about Martyn Lloyd-Jones, another story.
In one of Joseph Prince’s videos,
he quotes Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
He says one day, he bumped into his books.
And therefore, he describes, Wah,
I discovered Martyn Lloyd-Jones
teach the same thing as me (him).
That may be correct on one point.
But he doesn’t know
that I am a reader of Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
He cannot bluff people like me.
There was once I had (owned) almost all his (Lloyd-Jones) books.
How many of you know who is Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
I know Martyn Lloyd-Jones inside out.
You know he (Joseph Prince) dares to say that, you know,
but actually Martyn Lloyd-Jones speaks against his law teaching
many, many, many times,
but he still dare to do it, you see.
It tells what kind of person he (Joseph Prince) is.”
George Ong’s comments:
You would reason,
Since Joseph Prince
openly and publicly quoted Martyn Lloyd-Jones
in his sermon on video and in his book,
and even called him ‘a great man of God’,
Martyn Lloyd-Jones
must have endorsed Joseph Prince’s grace teachings.
And many have been deluded into thinking
that such is the case.
Well, Joseph Prince himself is crafty enough
to want to leave that impression in the minds of many.
If you have read about this glowing tribute
that Joseph Prince paid to Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
you would be fooled into thinking
that Martyn Lloyd-Jones
agrees with much of Joseph Prince’s grace theology
and is teaching the same grace doctrine
as Joseph Prince does.
But as a matter of fact, the reverse is the truth.
Almost all the articles that I have featured
on this website
go head-on against Joseph Prince’s grace teaching.
Imagine the irony – Joseph Prince,
who calls Martyn Lloyd-Jones ‘a great man of God’
– and yet this ‘great man of God’
has refuted and demolished
much of Joseph Prince’s teachings.
Think with me, would any teacher of the word
call a person ‘a great man of God’,
if that great man teaches against
the bulk of his teachings?
No way!
Then, why did Joseph Prince
call Martyn Lloyd-Jones ‘a great man of God’?
It’s all a deceptive ploy of Joseph Prince
to give the people the impression
that he and Martyn Lloyd-Jones
are of the same mind
with regards to his grace teaching
– and that would give much credence to him
as the Grace Teacher.
I had actually confronted Joseph Prince
over this misnomer several times on the website
– why did he call Martyn Lloyd-Jones a great man of God
even though Lloyd-Jones
tore apart much of Joseph Prince’s teachings.
But till today,
Joseph Prince has remained as quiet as a church mouse.
He is indeed a man with no guts
to defend or state his stand.
But when people are so-called healed through his ministry,
he will be the first person to rush forward and claim credit.
This is the kind of man I am unveiling for you.
