In a sermon on 7 Apr 2024, Joseph Prince said;

to view the 1-minute video:

“So, in the Upper room,

says until now, you have asked nothing in my name.

Ask the Father, alright.

Ask the Father in my name and He;

who will give it? The Father.

He will give it to you.

Up till now you have asked nothing in my name.

Whatsoever you ask the Father in my name,

He will give it to you.

So, when you ask in Jesus’ name,

the Father is like, He doesn’t see you anymore.

He sees Jesus making the request.

In my name means,

you are actually no more standing in your own ground,

your own merits, you are standing in person of Jesus,

His merits.

Does he merit an answered prayer?

Oh yes and how. Amen.”

Joseph Prince based his teaching of prayer

on the following texts:

John 14:13-14 NKJV

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

John 16:23-24 NKJV

23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Joseph Prince told 2 lies.

First, Joseph Prince lied that you when you pray in Jesus’ name,

it means you are no longer asking in prayer for yourself,

but that Jesus is now asking God for you,

or on your behalf.

This is not the meaning of Praying in Jesus’ name

that Joseph Prince has lied to us.

Praying in Jesus’ name means:

Praying with the Lord Jesus’ authority

and asking God the Father to act upon our prayers

because we come in the name of His Son, Jesus.

It also means that we acknowledge

that we cannot approach God on our own,

but only the basis of the sacrifice and blood of Jesus.

The second lie Joseph Prince told

is that in our prayers to God in the Upper Room,

there are no conditions.

Joseph Prince told us the half-truth

about John 14:13-14 and John 16:23-24.

But Joseph Prince craftily hid from you

the other half of the truth in John 15:7:

John 15:7 NKJV

7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,

you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Clearly, answered prayers

are not unconditional.

But they are conditional,

upon our abiding in Christ.

If we don’t abide in Christ,

the deal is off.

“I thought Joseph Prince’s preaching was very charismatic

until I stumbled upon this video.

Indeed, all humans greatest sin is pride.

Seems that Joseph Prince enjoys the attention and love of the audience.

It is very scary if a well-known and influential pastor

can create his own version of preaching the gospel.

The Christian community must look into it

and prevent this from spreading to the world.

Back to basics – only to Bible! Nothing else.”

“Why did Joseph Prince go into the occult in the first place?

Is it for wealth and fame and power?

I think these motivations followed him

into his so-called Christian beliefs

and so, I asked is Joseph Prince really saved?

Simon, the sorcerer, believed

and was even baptized by Evangelist Philip.

But Peter said to Simon the sorcerer,

he hath neither part or lot in this matter,

perish with your silver.

If God were to take Simon’s life there and then,

he would not be saved.

At least Simon realised his sickness, not Joseph Prince.”

“If you want the most comfortable religion in the world,

Christianity is not recommended.

You should turn to Congracenity

pioneered by the New Conman Club.”

“He even teaches that repentance

is only preached by the angel of light… Not by Jesus.

Watch his sermon in Grace revolution at Hillsong.”

“No repentance, no godly sorrow, no conviction,

no remorse, no sacrifice, no commandments,

no commitment, no discipleship, no suffering etc.

How could anyone believe in such a sick religion

that removed so much of the Bible?

And replaced it with riches, vanity, youthful looking,

comfort, passiveness, effortless success etc.

It’s sick to the core!”

“Joseph Prince is a scam and a heresy to Christianity.”

“Joseph Prince’s Hyper grace

is beyond the revelation

of the true grace of God in the Bible

and Joseph Prince has aptly called it Grace Revolution,

Indeed, it is a Grace Rebellion.

Revolution = Rebellion.”

“Cons, clowns, charades. What a church! Laughable!

All these shoulder pain, knee pain etc

can heal by itself.

It’s an insult to the designer of the human body

to say this kind of pain needs Joseph Prince

as the healing medium.”
