there is also another 3-minute video on Joseph Prince which is not shown in that 14-minute YouTube video, but is featured in the second part of this article.
(This article was also sent to Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian, General Secretary, National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) office, and for the attention of the Executive Committee Members.)
In a weekly Sunday sermon aired on YouTube on 15 Jan 2023, last Sunday, Joseph Prince said (for the video on Joseph Prince, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“Now, I am very humbled to hear that God wants me to be the one to appear in spite of some people saying that my doctrine is wrong. But God thought that, put this guy down there, his doctrine might save her. And she got saved.
So, whatever it is folks, I am very humbled and complimented. The Lord chose that particular episode. Amen. Maybe, you know, you can argue as much as you want, but if you have a testimony like that, share with me about your ministry, about your revelation that you don’t agree with me about.
Never mind. I always say, let the fruits speak for itself because our Lord Jesus says, by their fruits, you shall know them. Not by the talk, Amen.”
Joseph Prince said;
“Never mind. I always say, let the fruits speak for itself because our Lord Jesus says, by their fruits, you shall know them. Not by the talk, Amen.”
Joseph Prince is implying that those who criticise his grace doctrine as false,
are without fruits, as they are people who only know how to talk.
I am going to surface the many well-respected Bible teachers and theologians who, by their teachings, have contended against Prince’s false doctrines:
David Pawson, John Stott, John Piper, John MacArthur, Michael Brown, Billy Graham, John Wesley, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Derek Prince, Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong and Pastor Jason Lim.
Is David Pawson without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
David Pawson, who taught against Joseph Prince’s doctrine of mixing truth with error, unconditional forgiveness and a believe-only and no-repentance gospel, said (for the video on David Pawson, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“And frankly, I’m here in Singapore because of one wrong meaning of that word(grace), because two years, I was in South Africa, and every church I went to was talking about grace but in a rather unusual way, and a way that was dangerous, a way that was mixing a lot of truth with some poisonous error. And it is that mixture which can so easily deceive people.
And I said to them after a bit, ‘Where did you all get all this teaching from?’ And the simple answer was ‘Singapore.’ And at that time, I found a burden in my heart for Singapore.”
“And so here I am, and here is what I want to tell you about grace.”
“But your major problem in Singapore is not irresistible force, it’s unconditional forgiveness (Hyper grace). And I have to say that this third understanding of grace (Hyper grace), which can be found in America, is spreading throughout the world from this city (of Singapore).
And I came across it all over South Africa when I was there 2 years ago. And I said, ‘Where did you get all this from?’ And they said, ‘Singapore.’”
“Now the preachers of free grace are saying, ‘The only thing you need do is believe. And there’s no need for repentance to be saved.’
And this teaching is now spreading around the world from Singapore and from here in America. No repentance. You can be saved without repentance.”
Is John Stott without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
John Stott, who taught against Joseph Prince’s believe-only and no-repentance gospel, and that repentance is only a change of mind, said;
“First, there must be a renunciation of sin. This, in a word, is repentance. It is the first part of Christian conversion. It can in no circumstances be bypassed. Repentance and faith belong together.
We cannot follow Christ without forsaking sin. Repentance is a definite turn from every thought, word, deed and habit which is known to be wrong.” (John R. W. Stott, Basic Christianity, 3rd ed. (Grand Rapids, MI: William B. Eerdmans, 1999), 109-110).
Is John Piper without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
John Piper, who taught against Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel, said (for the video on John Piper, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“I don’t know what you feel about the prosperity gospel, the health, wealth, and prosperity gospel, but I’ll tell you what I feel about it… hatred. It is not the gospel.”
Is John MacArthur without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
John MacArthur who taught against Joseph Prince’s believe-only and no-repentance gospel, wrote;
“Repentance has always been the foundation of the New Testament call to salvation.
When Peter gave the gospel invitation at Pentecost, in the first public evangelism of the post-Resurrection era, repentance was at the heart of it: “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins” (Acts 2:38).
No message that eliminates repentance can properly be called the gospel…” (John MacArthur, The Gospel according to Jesus)
Is Michael Brown without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Michael Brown, who wrote 2 books against Hyper grace and taught against Joseph Prince’s doctrine that “the New Covenant only begins after the cross”, said (for the video on Michael Brown, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
Dr Scott Stewart: “So, very happy to have Dr Brown help to answer some questions. Let’s just jump right into it then. One of the things we’re dealing with that seems right now with questions I get from my congregation, telephone calls, emails, text and things, is a seemingly attack on the nature and character of Jesus, especially, in His relationship to His words.
For example, I’ll read up a few of these things here:
It’s been taught today that Jesus’ words are like an expired credit card.
You’ve got to be careful about some of those words you’re reading in red (Jesus’ words in the New Testament).
Jesus’ words are not all really for the church.
You have to feed on the words of Paul and not on the words of Jesus.
There’s a difference between the words spoken before the cross and after the cross. Words after the cross refer to Christians. The words before the cross are the Jews. After all, Jesus is an Old Testament man, and therefore He is relegated to Old Testament approaches. You cannot take everything He says for today.
What’s happening?”
Dr Michael Brown: “Ya, I mean that’s grievous. It’s not just grievous theologically, it’s grievous relationally. That’s our Saviour. That’s our Lord. That’s the one who told us what he feels and communicates, says to His disciples, ‘I no longer call you servants, I call you friends.’ So, the intimate words shared with a friend; when Jesus says at the Last Supper in Luke 22, ‘I’ve eagerly desire to eat this Passover with you before I suffer’ – Oh that’s just for the Jews. That’s not for believers today; (that’s for) the Jews before the cross, I mean it’s outrageous!
When I first started to encounter this and shared some of the…”
Dr Scott Stewart: “So, you are fully familiar, I mean you’ve written a credible book about Hyper grace. You deal a lot with these things.”
Dr Michael Brown: “(Hyper grace is) forthrightly and completely against scripture, and it’s against common sense, and the Lord as well. It’s against life in the Spirit. It’s against New Covenant realities.
When I shared some of this with my wife, Nancy, she was so disturbed she couldn’t sleep that night.
He says in Matthew 24:35, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, my words will never pass away.’ That’s not just abstract or anything, that’s for us.
And when Paul is writing to Timothy and explaining certain principles. He quotes scripture. And one scripture, ‘A labourer is worthy of his hire.’ That’s Jesus speaking before the cross and Paul is applying to us today.
When Acts 20, Paul quotes Jesus again, ‘It’s more blessed to give than to receive.’ We don’t have that recorded elsewhere, but presumably, again, one of the sayings (of Jesus) before the cross, quoted.
And then the big problem for these people who are running from the very words of Jesus is Jesus said, ‘If you are ashamed of me and my words, I’ll be ashamed of you.’
So, the other problem is they run from those and they run into the Book of Revelation chapters 2 and 3 (which Jesus spoke after the cross); which Jesus speaking even more strongly, even more clearly in terms of words of repentance and wake up.
And it’s absolutely shameful. It needs to be denounced in the clearest possible terms, and these men or women preaching this need to repent.”
Is Billy Graham without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Billy Graham, who taught against Joseph Prince’s doctrine that the 10 Commandments have become obsolete, said;
“The Ten Commandments are just as valid today as when God gave them to Moses over 3,000 years ago.
Jesus said, ‘I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law’ (Matthew 5:18).”
Is Pastor Jason Lim without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Pastor Jason Lim, Senior Pastor of Gospel Light Christian Church, Singapore, who taught against Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel doctrine, said (for the video on Pastor Jason Lim, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“We as a nation have been swept. In fact, I think the world today is swept by this feel-good lie of prosperity teaching. It is so far removed from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is a damnable heresy because it leads people not to value God for who He is, but it leads people to chase after material things of this world, to lead people to idolatry.”
Is John Wesley without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
John Wesley, who taught against Joseph Prince’s doctrine that the 10 Commandments are no more binding on New Covenant believers, wrote,
“But the moral law, contained in the Ten Commandments, and enforced by the prophets, He (Jesus) did not take away.” (On the Sermon on the Mount, Discourse 6, Sermons on Several Occasions (1810), pp. 75-76.)
Is Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Christian Church, Singapore, who taught against Joseph Prince’s Hyper grace and Antinomian doctrine, said (for the video on Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“You’re deceived if you believe in the Hyper grace message… And the longer you sit under that anointing or teaching, you’re going to be brainwashed by it. You’re going to be brainwashed by it.
The theological term is Antinomianism. It’s a theology that holds the idea that under the dispensation of grace, that the moral law has got no more value. Come on, my friends, what Bible have you been reading?”
Is Martyn Lloyd-Jones without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Martyn Lloyd-Jones, who taught against Joseph Prince’s law and grace doctrine, said;
“Any teaching concerning salvation which does not express itself in terms of the demands of the law is false teaching.”
“…If you resent the commandments of God, don’t talk to me about heaven. Don’t talk about spending your eternity looking into the face of God.”
“Therefore, if your so-called grace (which you say you have received) does not make you keep the law, you have not received grace. You may have received a psychological experience, but you have never received the grace of God.”
Is Derek Prince without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Derek Prince, who taught against Joseph Prince’s believe-only & no-repentance gospel, said (for the video on Derek Prince, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“There is no other way to faith except through repentance. Any other way that claims to get you there is a deception. True faith is impossible without repentance.”
“And faith comes only after repentance. The whole message of the Bible is in this order: Repent and believe.”
“But without true repentance there can never be true faith.”
Is Bishop Kuan Kim Seng without fruits and one who only knows how to talk as implied by Joseph Prince?
Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, an Anglican Bishop from Singapore, who spoke against Joseph Prince’s doctrine that God no longer judges New Covenant believers, and for promoting idolatry, said (for the video on Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, please refer to the 14-minute YouTube video at the beginning of this article);
“Last week, I spoke about the errors of Joseph Prince and I’m going to say it again, right. In my view, he is promoting a god of his own making, hence leading many Christians into idolatry.
Let me quote him verbatim; he said,
‘You will never find an example of God punishing a believer for his sins in the New Covenant.’
Now, this is what he said. So, in other words, he is promoting a God who doesn’t judge sins. He said in the New Covenant, God doesn’t judge sins. Now, this is a statement of our God.
Let me ask you a question, ‘Is the statement true or is it false?’ It’s patently false because God judges even in the New Testament.
In fact, a couple of days ago, I was having lunch with a young man. He’s an undergrad; we were talking. And he is one of these undergrads I meet up regularly, once every two months or so basically to encourage them to grow in their faith. I talked to him about these words of Joseph Prince.
And he said, ‘Bishop, you mean, he does not know that there are two fellows called Ananias and Sapphira.’ I said, ‘I am glad you know Ananias and Sapphira.’
Now, if you do not know who Ananias and Sapphira is, you need to read through your scriptures in the book of Acts. There were two persons, Ananias and Sapphira, husband and wife, who tried to, who lied and manipulated in the church. God struck them dead. They were New Testament believers, of course. They were New Covenant believers, of course.
So, in other words, either Joseph Prince doesn’t know his Bible, which makes him, which tells us a lot, or he deliberately promotes a god, whom he says, ‘doesn’t punish people, or believers for their sins in the New Covenant.’
I submit to you that he is promoting a god of his own making.”
For Joseph Prince to imply that his critics,
such as David Pawson, John Stott, John Piper, John MacArthur, Michael Brown, Billy Graham, John Wesley, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Derek Prince, Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, Pastor Yang Tuck Yoong and Pastor Jason Lim,
have no fruits and belong to those who only knows how to talk, is slander and arrogance of the highest order.
Next, Joseph Prince also said in the sermon on 15 Jan 2023, last Sunday;
Please click here to view the 3-minute video on Joseph Prince:
“There’s one thing I would love for you to come to be with all of us, instead of online. Because when you sing alone online, it’s not the same. It’s really so low, you know. It’s a low place. The Lord is saying, ‘Rise up.’ It’s so low, so low, also. Rise up. Rise up, my love.
You know, you said that but online, we’re still gathering together. I’m not forcing the assembling. Technically, you can argue that, but actually, I told you last year, the Lord really rebuked, corrected me in saying that kind of thing because the Lord showed me that in more place than one in the New Testament; they were all gathered in one place – the day of Pentecost. Another place, when you’re come together in one place – the Lord’s supper; when you come together in one place.
I understand that for a season we have to go online. I understand because it’s Covid. But you all know it’s not a natural season. Amen. It was an evil time. Right, but we are back together.”
“But I think we might even start first with the 11.30 (am) online first because we still have room in the house for you to join us. We don’t want the enemy to distract you. There’s something about the corporate anointing being here, worshipping together during the time of singing that does something being at home alone doesn’t. Amen. Okay. So, we might be going into this. We’ll start off with the first service, first. We might just remove the 11.30 (am) one, first, okay (online). Come and join us. There’s plenty of space here.
So, it is something that it’s not our decision. I think the Lord is working on my heart, Amen, as much as I can. Don’t you know that we have more people watching us online than we do, attending. Why would I want to give that up? And our numbers are not small. If you know the first service, alright, it’s usually beyond 10,000 people watching. Alright from what we see and that’s per device.
Right, so, I got to think this carefully to see whether it’s the Lord. Okay. But are you all with me? You understand? Amen. Those here, of course, you understand; you’re here. Do you understand? I love you. I love you. I want you to rise up higher. See, see. You’re lying down there already, see. At home, you lie down. Rise up, rise up, my love, my fair one, come on. The day of the couch is over. The time of singing has come.”
“Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said. Distracted here means divided into many portions.”
“Have you been distracted like that? That’s what happen when you watch online at home. Alright. Church, when you come down here, it’s just that the corporate anointing helps you focus.”
Joseph Prince said;
“But I think we might even start first with the 11.30 (am) online first because we still have room in the house for you to join us.”
“We might just remove the 11.30 (am) one, first, okay (online). Come and join us. There’s plenty of space here.”
Joseph Prince had admitted that there is still room and plenty of space at New Creation Church’s 11.30 am service at Star Vista.
If the 11.30 am service (which is a better slot as compared to the afternoon service) has plenty of space, one could imagine that the 2.30 pm afternoon service has even more unfilled spaces.
You must remember before Covid-19, New Creation Church ran 4 services at Star Vista, but today, they are running only 3 services.
Since the Performing Arts Centre at Star Vista is a 5000-seater, you can imagine with one worship service less, how many have not gone back to New Creation Church.
Most of you don’t know what is really going on, but I know as I have been listening to Joseph Prince’s sermon every Sunday.
And for many Sundays, Joseph Prince has been pleading and cajoling his people/fruits to come back to attend the worship services of New Creation Church.
Obviously, he has lost many fruits/‘sheep’ over the last one year.
What’s the use of Joseph Prince boasting about just one fruit that he has so-called brought to Christ last Sunday (referring to the first part of the video at the beginning of this article),
when he can’t even keep thousands of his fruits back home, and has not succeeded in getting them back to his New Creation Church, despite trying so hard.
Many of them may be false fruits.
If they are true fruits, they would remain in his church.
But the fact that till today they have not returned to New Creation Church (despite Joseph Prince’s constant and never-ending pleadings),
may indicate they are either false fruits or half-past-six fruits,
or they are true fruits, who saw through Joseph Prince’s heresies, and have, thankfully, left for other churches.
Prince is rather desperate that he has even resorted to using fear to frighten his people to come back to New Creation Church.
I caught Prince for doing that; please refer to the article by clicking on the link below:
Joseph Prince’s hypocrisy is exposed as he uses fear to get his people back to New Creation Church
After being caught by me for using fear to frighten his people back to church, which I highlighted in the above article, he now uses persuasion.
Since then, he dares not try the fear approach again, but nonetheless, he has been trying really hard to get his people/fruits back to church.
My estimate is that Joseph Prince and New Creation Church has definitely lost, not hundreds, but thousands of people/fruits.
That is why Joseph Prince dared not reveal the actual current Church attendance.
It must have been a noticeable drop from the 34,000 people that he reported 3 years ago.
His own ego and pride will never allow him to reveal the plummeting church attendance.
If my estimate that Joseph Prince has lost thousands of fruits/people is wrong,
then Prince must publish the official current and accurate attendance figures of New Creation Church to prove me wrong.
If I am proven wrong, I will publish an official apology to him, his church and to my readers.
But if he chooses to keep silent (as he constantly and always does to plenty of my accusations), it only proves me right.
Joseph Prince gives the impression that his people/fruits who aren’t attending New Creation Church, are actually watching the New Creation Church services online at their homes.
But Prince is too proud to acknowledge and face up to the fact that many of them may have permanently left New Creation Church for other churches.
If Joseph Prince is preaching the right doctrine, why has he lost thousands of fruits/people in his congregation.
Right doctrine would enable the people to persevere instead of dropping out of the race at the first sign of inconvenience.
To be desperately trying to get his people back to New Creation Church by his never-ending pleading with them time and again to come back for the worship services is one thing.
But what is reprehensible is that Joseph Prince, who falsely implied and criticised his critics for not having fruits in their ministries,
is the culprit who has himself lost thousands of fruits/people in his own backyard.
Joseph Prince boasted about the fruit of this lady who got saved under his ministry, and used that to criticise and imply that his critics have no fruits,
when he himself can’t even keep thousands of his own fruits in his own home turf.
What Joseph Prince did was what Jesus had pointed out in Matthew 7:1-5
– that judgemental people are those who point out the speck of dust in other people’s eyes,
when there is a plank in his own eye that he does not seem to be even aware of.
And the way Joseph Prince has to plead with his members to come back in the last one year without much results,
may well indicate that many of them could be false fruits or half-past-six fruits to begin with.
Joseph Prince himself said,
“… let the fruits speak for itself because our Lord Jesus says, by their fruits, you shall know them…”
Yes, indeed. The fruits speak for themselves, and by their fruits you shall know them.
Since Joseph Prince has lost thousands of fruits in his ministry, does that tell us about the kind of fruits he is producing,
and more importantly, what kind of ‘shepherd’ (he is a wolf) Joseph Prince really is?
This is Part 1. Part 2 will be featured after Chinese New Year.
