If Joseph Prince thinks he can scare a person
like his chief critic, George Ong,
he’s picking on the wrong guy.
Let’s say if one of these days,
I was struck with a disease and passed away suddenly
(don’t get me wrong; I am not beset with any disease, now),
will I get the idea that it is because I am cursed
for criticising the anointed Joseph Prince?
Of course not.
I hope if this ever happened to me,
you do not believe this lie.

I am quite sure Joseph Prince was referring to Kong Hee,

Friends, Kong Hee’s imprisonment
has nothing to do with Joseph Prince.
It is Kong Hee’s own mistakes that he has owned up.
I was overjoyed that Kong Hee, a fellow brother-in-Christ
who had been jailed, had repented,
while Joseph Prince who preaches heresies
is still recalcitrantly unrepentant.

you ought to know by now
that Joseph Prince is a con man,
who lied to the people that he has the gift of healing
when he doesn’t.
It is high time that you leave the heretical New Creation Church
for other churches such as City Harvest Church,
and many other Bible-believing churches
in Singapore.

Friends, it’s time to leave Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church
for Kong Hee’s City Harvest Church,
or, the many other Bible-believing churches in Singapore
for the following 5 reasons:
1. Rev Beh Soo Yeong, the Senior Pastor of The Bible Church, strongly warns believers not to attend Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church.
In a sermon, Rev Beh Soo Yeong said;
“This Pastor, some of you may already know.
He’s none other than Joseph Prince from New Creation Church.
And I know that this is recorded.
But I want to warn you, okay
that this is a very heretical teaching
that we ought to be mindful and careful about.
In fact, ever since, I’ve come to the conviction
in the last one, two years,
“I’ve been talking before once,
who have left our church to join them (New Creation Church).
Whenever I have opportunity, I will text them,
‘Hey, have you left the church (New Creation Church) yet?
You know, uh, you know it’s heretical teaching right,
wrong teaching right,
why are you still doing there?’
Hopefully to bring those;
I mean, if you don’t like Bible church, it’s okay.
Just go somewhere else,
don’t go to this church (New Creation Church).”
George Ong’s comments:
We must not only dissociate ourselves from Joseph Prince,
but also New Creation Church.
Rev Beh Soo Yeong had persistently advised those
who left his church,
not to end up in New Creation Church
for the simple reason
that it is a church that teaches heresies.
If Singapore Pastors and churches
choose to fellowship and work with Joseph Prince,
the heretic
and New Creation Church,
which promotes his heretical teachings,
they are patently disobeying the scriptures.
Paul, had twice, in Titus 3:10 and Romans 16:17,
instructed believers to keep away
and have nothing to do with heretics.
So, to fellowship with Joseph Prince
and work with New Creation Church,
is to go against the plain teachings of the scriptures.
2. Don’t be afraid of Joseph Prince’s threat of coming under a double curse if you leave for the ‘law churches’, and if you criticise him as the Anointed one, you will come under judgment.
Joseph Prince does threaten people in his own crafty way.
First, Joseph Prince ‘threatens’ his congregation
not to leave New Creation Church
and go to the ‘law churches’
as they would put themselves under a double curse (Gal 1:8-9).
In a teaching session, George Ong said;
You see Joseph Prince uses this double curse
to scare his people.
You better don’t go back to the law churches.
We are the law churches.
You better don’t go back to the law churches, you know.
Those who preach that you must obey the law,
or else you are under a double curse.
But we are not, we are not the false teachers.
These people are preaching gospel plus circumcision.
We have never preached that. You see.
Because he throws in obedience to God’s commandments.
He throws in obedience, which we preached.
But is not the issue…”
Second, Joseph Prince ‘threatens’ his critics
in an indirect way that God would judge them
for touching him as the Lord’s anointed.
(This touching the Lord’s anointed is total nonsense
which I will deal with in another Article.)
Of course, Joseph Prince would not put it in this direct way.
But from the way he presents it,
those who are discerning
would know what and who he’s talking about.

bringing in souls into God’s kingdom
as opposed to the false grace and gospel
that Joseph Prince preaches
that not only has no saving faith,
but it would also bring people to their destruction.

Let me quote you a perfect example in Athanasius,
one of my favourite Church Fathers.
Athanasius knew that it was God’s prerogative
to deal with the heretics of his day in His own sovereign way,
and according to His divine timing.
Did Athanasius obey God’s call
to battle against Arius, the heretic
only because God promised Athanasius
that Arius and his heresy,
which had widely spread,
would be cancelled or brought down in his (Athanasius’) lifetime?
No.
The truth is Athanasius died
before seeing the full fruits of his labours.
He didn’t live to see the eradication of the heresy of Arianism
from the Christian Church.
But his job was to obey God’s call to battle Arius, the heretic,
and contend against Arianism.
His job was to persevere in obeying God’s call
no matter what it would cost him
and no matter what the outcome would be.
Indeed, his calling costs him
as he was forced into exile at least 5 times
by several Roman emperors
who has sympathy for the heresy of Arianism.
We must never be that naïve and simplistic
to obey God’s call
only because we expect Him to show us the results of our call
in our lifetime.
Just do your part to obey God and leave the rest to Him.
That was my attitude on the first day
when I launched out in obedience to God’s call
to combat against Joseph Prince’s heresies.
I’ve never entertained the idea
that Joseph Prince would suffer a fall or be cancelled,
and his heresies would be pushed back
all because I have obeyed God’s call
to contend against his heresies.
I just have to do my part
and leave the rest in the hands of God.
Perhaps, the only comfort for Athanasius
was that Arius, the heretic, died 37 years before him
when he was struck with a sudden attack of cholera.
And because of that,
Arianism was now without an official head.
But did Arianism die instantly with Arius’ demise?
No.
Arianism continued to spread for several decades
after Arius’ death.
At one point, it ominously appeared
that the whole Church might have succumbed to Arianism.
Though Arius had died,
the heresy continued to trouble the Church
for at least a generation afterward.
Even though its founder Arius had passed away from the scene,
the continuing spread of Arianism,
holds many pertinent lessons for the Singapore Church.
Once a generation of the Church
has embraced the heresy of Joseph Prince,
it may take another generation to recover from the curse.
When will the Church of Singapore start to wake up
before Christianity becomes ‘Gracetianity’
and the Prince of Peace is usurped by Joseph Prince?
That was why Paul said,
“But we refused to give in to them (heretics)
for a single moment.
We wanted to preserve
the truth of the gospel message for you” (Gal 2:5 NLT).
As elders and pastors of churches,
are we concerned for the next generation of believers
that they, too, will receive the same Faith
that is being passed down to us from the apostles?
If the Pseudo-grace doctrine of Joseph Prince
is corrupting the gospel and the Christian Faith
in our generation,
in the next generation,
Christianity may metamorphosise into ‘Gracetianity’.
The prevalence of false teachings in the Singapore Church
is not hypothetical;
it is happening right under our noses
in the person and ministry of Joseph Prince.
The pervading influence
of Joseph Prince’s Pseudo-grace theology
would not simply go away even after his death
but may balloon to alarming proportions in the days to come.
If Joseph Prince’s Pseudo-grace teaching
that has influenced many
is not decisively dealt with and curbed,
it will set Christianity on a harmful and irreversible course
for our future generations of Christians.
We must not be short-sighted and be deceived
that things will die a natural death,
but we ought to take the view of the long-term harm
that heresies, especially that of Joseph Prince,
can do to the Church of Jesus Christ.
Be that as it may,
may the fearless and persevering spirit of Athanasius
be with the Church of Jesus Christ in this sense:
When, to intimidate him,
Athanasius’ judges warned him
that the whole world was against him,
he dared to reply,
“Then is Athanasius against the world!”
“Athanasius died before seeing the full fruits of his labors,
but he is remembered today
as one of the most courageous truth warriors
the church has ever produced.”
“To this day, the slogan
“Athanasius against the world”
is the epitaph usually associated with his name.”
Let me, George Ong, be that bold to say
that if I have to go against the bulk of the Singapore Church
that has gone soft on curbing the heresies of Joseph Prince,
I will, and in fact, I have already done so.
3. Joseph Prince is a con man regarding his healing gifting – that, so far, none out of the hundreds Joseph Prince prayed for on 20 Oct 2024 were healed.

On 20 Oct 2024, 2 Sundays ago, if you remember,
Joseph Prince asked those who wished to be prayed for by him
over their knee condition to stand.
I believe a few hundred must have stood.
But on 27 Oct 2024, 2 Sundays ago
and 3 Nov 2024, yesterday,
there was not a single testimony being read out
in these 2 worship services on 27 Oct 2024 and 3 Nov 2024
of any who were healed of their knee condition
on 20 Oct 2024.
This is usually the practice of Joseph Prince,
who would not waste a second
to make sure that such testimonies get trumpeted
for the world to hear
as soon as they are received.
And this is despite the fact that Joseph Prince said
it was the Lord who spoke to him
about praying for the knee condition
when he said;
“As I said that just now,
the Lord says, ya, that’s the reason why
He’s giving me this again and again.
The knee condition.”
Second, Joseph Prince has invoked the name of Jesus Christ
when he prayed for the healing of the people
nine times:
‘Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus,
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus,
be restored in the name of the Lord Jesus.
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And in the name of Jesus, Father,
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I ask.’
So, how can the authority and supremacy
which is behind the name of Christ
that is mentioned 9 times by Joseph Prince
not be powerful enough to heal immediately.
Third, examine the commanding manner,
and the use of the word, ‘every’
that Joseph Prince prayed:
1st
“Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus,
I command every knee under the sound of my voice
that is afflicted
to be now made whole
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
2nd
“Every part of that knee that has degenerated,
I ask Lord that you regenerate.
You restore to health and shalom wholeness.”
3rd
“In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
do a miracle, Father.
Do a miracle
for every one of them, Lord.”
4th
“And Father,
I command every pain to leave the knees
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
5th
“And in the name of Jesus, Father,
give them brand new knees.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I ask.”
Assuming that Joseph Prince is truly gifted in healing
and a man of God,
plus, the fact that he has invoked
the powerful name of Jesus Christ 9 times to heal,
combined with his Health and Wealth doctrine
that God will heal in every case,
don’t you think such commanding and specific prayers
would be answered by God?
And why didn’t Joseph Prince give time
for at least some of them who stood up to be prayed for
on 20 Oct 2024
to testify about their healing.
Certainly, it would have been the perfect moment
for Joseph Prince to vindicate himself
regarding his healing gifting.
But you and I know
that he didn’t dare to do it
as he knew it could be a total flop
and he would be exposed as a con man on healing.
As it turned out, and after 2 Sundays,
there isn’t a single one out of the hundreds
who was healed by the prayers of Joseph Prince
on 20 Oct 2024,
or even during the last 2 weeks,
from 20 Oct 2024 to 3 Nov 2024.
Joseph Prince may start to feature several testimonies
of people healed on 20 Oct 2024
at a later stage.
But never believed him anymore,
as they would be just knee-jerk reaction
to this Article that I have featured.
Friends, especially for those in New Creation Church
who stood to be prayed for
by Joseph Prince on 20 Oct 2024,
you ought to know by now that Joseph Prince is a con man,
who lied to the people that he has the gift of healing
when he doesn’t.
It is high time that you leave the heretical New Creation Church
for other churches such as City Harvest Church,
and many other Bible-believing churches
in Singapore.
4. Joseph Prince blatantly lies and makes Martin Luther lie by putting words in his mouth that he is against any Christian from obeying the law.
In a sermon on 3 Nov 2024, yesterday, Joseph Prince said;
“I just want to tell you this.
This whole thing has got to do,
make sure you understand what is law and what is grace.
Martin Luther says it like this, Martin Luther,
“Therefore, whoever knows well
how to distinguish the gospel from the law,
or, some people put it grace from the Law,
should give thanks to God
and know that he is a true theologian.”
Martin Luther which started the Reformation
of which, we just celebrated a few days ago.
He said this,
“If someone knows
how to contrast law and grace;
he knows where law belongs where grace belongs,
he’s a true theologian.”
And you can go to Bible school and spend years there,
and not be a true theologian.
You can’t differentiate both.
Or, you try to have altogether in one bag.
No, you cannot.”
Joseph Prince quoted Martin Luther.
Yet, he is so crafty
that he didn’t give you the context or more details
about what Luther said.
But Joseph Prince’s real intention
is to make use of Martin Luther
and make him say things that he didn’t,
by insinuating that what Luther meant
was that because grace has come,
the law is no longer relevant.
Although this is the position of Joseph Prince,
this is definitely not Martin Luther’s position,
nor that of his critics,
nor most Bible-believing churches in Singapore.
In ‘Works of Martin Luther, Vol. 5,’
Martin Luther said:
“Those who are not of this sort
ought not to count themselves Christians…
For they, rejecting and not understanding
the Ten Commandments,
preach much about the grace of Christ instead.”
George Ong’s comments:
Martin Luther made the point
that those who preach about the grace of Christ
but reject the Ten Commandments,
(such as Joseph Prince)
are not Christians in the first place.
If Joseph Prince isn’t a Christian to start with,
how can he be preaching the true gospel?
And how can those who supposedly accept Christ
through Joseph Prince’s grace message
be really saved?
In ‘Sermons of Martin Luther, Vol. 4,
Martin Luther said:
“Hence those foolish souls (Antinomians)
are entirely wrong,
who allege that the Law is not to be preached
under the New Testament dispensation…
… But besides, we must bear in mind
that the doctrine of the Law
is not to be entirely done away with,
even in the case of those who are Christians,
… In the next place,
when we have received such grace and salvation,
have been baptized into Christ and believe,
His will is that we should afterwards live accordingly,
obey God and do what is commanded us
in the Ten Commandments…”
George Ong’s comments:
Joseph Prince teaches
that New Covenant believers have nothing to do
with the moral law in the Ten Commandments,
whereas Martin Luther states that
the law in the Ten Commandments
have everything to do with us,
in that, we are required to obey them
after we become believers.
In ‘Works of Martin Luther Vol. 6,
Martin Luther wrote:
“… but the Ten Commandments
cannot be done away…
… The Ten Commandments do not cease,
in the sense that they are no longer
to be kept or fulfilled…”
George Ong’s comments:
Martin Luther categorically wrote that
that the Ten Commandments do not cease.
But what Joseph Prince teaches
concerning the abolishment of the Ten Commandments
is in total contradiction with what Luther taught.
In ‘Sermons of Martin Luther Vol. 5,
Martin Luther said:
“Thus, this Gospel presents to us
that which we continually hear and should hear,
so that these two sermons
must continue to be preached in Christendom,
namely: the first,
the teaching of the Law or of the Ten Commandments,
and the second,
the doctrine concerning the grace of Christ.
For if either of these falls
it pulls the other with it;
while on the other hand,
wherever the one remains steadfast
and is faithfully put into practice,
it brings the other with it.
And God has ordained
that these two themes shall be preached forever
in the Christian Church,
yea, they have always since the beginning of the world
accompanied one another;
… No, dear mortal, that amounts to nothing;
you will never thus gain heaven;
it must come to the point
that you keep the commandments,
and abide in love toward God and your neighbor.
… Again, to the Galatians, 5:19-21:
‘Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you,
that those who practice such things,
shall not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, etc.’
… Therefore learn, who can learn, and learn well,
so that we may know, first the Ten Commandments,
what we owe to God.
For if we do not know this,
then we know nothing
and we will not inquire about Christ in the least.”
George Ong’s comments:
Martin Luther stressed
that not just the gospel of God’s grace
but the moral law in the Ten Commandments
must also be preached.
This directly contradicts Joseph Prince’s position
that the moral law, the Ten Commandments,
is permanently done away with.
Law (not saved by law but after we are saved by grace)
and grace could and should exist together.
If one is preached to the exclusion of the other,
then both would be ‘pulled down’ in the process.
Note that a few of the Ten Commandments
are contained in Galatians 5:19-21.
Hence, what Luther was saying is that
those who only believe the gospel
but break God’s commandments (in Gal 5:19-21)
in an unrepentant way,
will not enter God’s kingdom.
What this means is that
Joseph Prince who teaches that we only need to believe,
but at the same time,
he denigrates the Ten Commandments
as being obsolete for New Covenant believers to obey,
isn’t preaching the true gospel,
as according to Martin Luther,
those who hear such a gospel
without obeying the Ten Commandments,
will not enter God’s kingdom.
It is not that obeying the Ten Commandments
will save us,
but that keeping these commandments
as an expression and evidence of true faith, would.
But merely believing the gospel
without obeying the Ten Commandments,
which Joseph Prince teaches
only indicates the lack of true saving faith.
5. Joseph Prince’s grace without law teaching is totally at odds with that of the Reformation and Evangelical Church Fathers, and Prince is slandering them that by preaching law, they are condemning people to death.
In a sermon preached on 3 Nov 2024, yesterday,
Joseph Prince said;
“Now, watch this;
he says not of the letter but of the Spirit.
He talk about the New Covenant.
It’s the New Covenant.
So, whatever it is,
make sure you are sitting under New Covenant.
Make sure that the church you are in is a church
That’s fully under the New Covenant.
Not like one-time New Covenant,
another time Old Covenant.
Sometimes, you have grace.
Sometimes, you have law.
You are killing people;
killing them softly with the law.
Killing them softly with the law, every Sunday.
Killing them slowly.
Now, we laugh, but it’s true.
The Letter kills. It’s not a joke, you know.
The letter kills.
Sit under the Old Covenant
and chances are death will set in.
What kills? The letter kills. The letter kills.
But the Spirit gives life.
But if the ministry of death.
Woe, the ministry of death.
Now he calls the law, those who preach the law,
the ministry of death.
They have a ministry.
It’s called the ministry of death.
I mean, I know of people
who do a series on the Ten Commandments, you know.
That’s doing, killing them slowly, week by week.
How will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?
Can you see the ministry of the Spirit,
contrast with the ministry of death
written and engraved on stones?
Okay, can you see that?
It’s more glorious.
If that’s not enough, the next verse,
it says if the ministry of condemnation had glory.
Now he calls the ministry of death condemnation.
What you feel all the time,
will be, you sit under this kind of ministry,
you feel condemned, you feel condemned,
you feel guilty, you feel condemned,
you feel condemned, you feel condemned.
Condemnation kills my friend.”
Joseph Prince is telling a half-truth.
George Ong wrote:
“A half-truth is no different from a lie
as a half-truth is nothing but a dignified lie.”
George Ong also wrote:
“Lies are best masqueraded
as half-truths.”
It is true that the law kills and condemns,
and hence, bring about death
for those who choose to be saved by the law.
Joseph Prince went on to say
that those who moved according to the ministry of the Spirit
will be more glorious,
which is still correct.
But here’s the catch
– to Joseph Prince, moving according the Spirit
has nothing to do with the law or the Ten Commandments,
which is heretical.
This goes against not only Martin Luther,
who said that there is every place
for the preaching of the Ten Commandments
and that those who hear the gospel
without obeying the Ten Commandments,
will not enter God’s kingdom (see above),
but also against the Reformation and Evangelical doctrine.
While Joseph Prince’s teaches
that there is no place for the law at all
for New Covenant believers,
Reformation and Evangelical theology are of the view
that while the law has no place for justification,
it has an important place for sanctification.
The view is that while we are not saved by the law,
we are to obey the law after we have become Christians.
This is especially so,
when the moral law in the Ten Commandments
is no longer written on stone
but in our hearts,
and now we have the Holy Spirit
who empowers us to obey the law.
And if we refused to obey the law,
then we aren’t truly saved in the first place.
In ‘Selected Works of John Calvin Vol. 3 Tracts Part 3,
John Calvin wrote:
“XVIII. Whosoever shall say
that the commandments of God
are impossible of observance
even to a justified man,
and to one constituted under grace,
let him be anathema (cursed).
XIX. Whosoever shall say
that nothing is commanded in the gospel except faith;
that other things are indifferent,
being neither commanded nor prohibited, but free;
or that the Ten Commandments do not apply to Christians,
let him be anathema (cursed).
XX. Whosoever shall say
that a justified man, however perfect,
is not bound to the observance
of the commandments of God and the Church,
but only to believe as if the gospel
were a naked and absolute promise of eternal life,
without the condition of observing the commandments,
let him be anathema (cursed).
XXI. Whosoever shall say
that Jesus Christ was given by God to man
as a Redeemer in whom they may trust,
but not as a lawgiver whom they are to obey,
let him be anathema (cursed).”
George Ong’s comments:
Do you know the seriousness
in all the points that John Calvin had made?
Every single point that Calvin had written
about God’s laws in the Ten Commandments
is what Joseph Prince has contravened
in his writings and sermons,
and a curse was pronounced by Calvin
on the person (including Joseph Prince),
who is guilty of each of those doctrinal aberrations.
Just in case you think that John Calvin
is too severe in his pronouncements,
you are mistaken.
John Calvin was only following the example of the Apostle Paul,
who pronounced a curse on anyone
who distorts the gospel of the grace of God
into a heresy (Gal 1:8-9).
The Greek word, ‘Anathema’ is the English word for ‘curse’.
It is the same Greek word
that both John Calvin
and the Apostle Paul used in Galatians 1:8-9.
I have unveiled the lie of Joseph Prince,
when he said that he is preaching the Reformation doctrine.
By his Antinomian doctrine
that the Ten Commandments are obsolete,
and no more binding on New Covenant believers,
Joseph Prince is preaching against
what Martin Luther and John Calvin hold dear to
– that though the law or the Ten Commandments
have no place for believers in justification,
they have every place in our sanctification.
And the need to obey the Ten Commandments,
that have been handed down by God Himself,
has never been abrogated.
Hence, Joseph Prince isn’t preaching the Reformation doctrine
that he constantly argues for;
he is preaching against the Reformation doctrine
of both Martin Luther and John Calvin.
And one who preaches against the Reformation doctrine
is guaranteed to be a heretic!
In ‘John Wesley’s Sermons,
An Anthology, Edited by Albert C. Outler & Richard P. Heitzenrater,’
John Wesley said:
… Christianity, as it includes the whole moral law of God,
… This is to endure till the consummation of all things.
Of consequence,
all such new revelations are of Satan,
(that the moral law is removed)
and not of God…”
George Ong’s comments:
Joseph Prince, who teaches
that the moral law in the Ten Commandments
is abrogated for New Covenant believers,
is demolished by John Wesley.
But what’s most damaging
is that John Wesley said that such a teaching
– that the moral law in the Ten Commandments
has been removed
is of Satan and not of God.
This means Joseph Prince is used by Satan
to preach his Antinomian teaching
that the Ten Commandments have become obsolete.
In ‘The New Testament, Spurgeon’s Sermons By Each Book.’
Charles Spurgeon said:
“The Gospel itself would be destroyed
could you destroy the Law of God!
To tamper with the Law
is to trifle with the Gospel.
“Till Heaven and earth pass,
one jot or one tittle
shall in no wise pass from the Law,
till all is fulfilled.” (Matt 5:18)
George Ong’s comments:
Because Joseph Prince has tampered with the law
by chucking it away into the dustbin of history,
the gospel that he is preaching is also a tampered gospel
– a false gospel that cannot save.
In ‘Weighed and Wanting, pp. 11, 16, 15’,
DL Moody wrote:
“The people must be made to understand
that the Ten Commandments are still binding,
and that there is a penalty attached to their violation…
Jesus never condemned the law and the prophets,
but He did condemn those
who did not obey them [see Matthew 5:17-19].”
Billy Graham said:
“The Ten Commandments are just as valid today
as when God gave them to Moses over 3,000 years ago.
… But if anything,
this means we need the Ten Commandments even more,
for we live in a time of great moral and spiritual
confusion.”
In ‘The Complete Works of JC Ryle,’
JC Ryle wrote:
“There is no greater mistake
than to suppose that a Christian
has nothing to do with the law
and the Ten Commandments,
because he cannot be justified by keeping them.
The same Holy Ghost,
who convinces the believer of sin by the law,
and leads him to Christ for justification,
will always lead him to a spiritual use of the law,
as a friendly guide, in the pursuit of sanctification.
Our Lord Jesus Christ
never made light of the Ten Commandments;
on the contrary, in His first public discourse,
the Sermon on the Mount,
He expounded them,
and showed the searching nature of their requirements.”
In ‘The Works of G. Campbell Morgan Vol. 1,’
Campbell Morgan (predecessor of Martyn Lloyd-Jones) wrote:
“There is a sense
in which Christians are not “free from the law.”
It is only when grace enables men to keep the law,
that they are free from it;
just as a moral man
who lives according to the laws of the country
is free from arrest.
God has not set aside law,
but He has found a way by which man can fulfill law,
and so be free from it.”
In ‘Through the Bible Through the Year,
Daily Reflections, From Genesis to Revelation,’
John Stott wrote:
“Consider now the terms of the new covenant.
Firstly, in the new covenant the law of God is internal:
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts” (v. 33).
As a result, we understand it, love it, and obey it.
There is strange teaching around today
that Christians are no longer under obligation
to keep God’s moral law.
But, on the contrary,
God writes his law in our hearts in order
that we may obey it.”
In a sermon, ‘Christ; The End of The Law’
based on Romans 10:4,
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said,
“Any teaching
concerning salvation
which does not express itself
in terms of the demands of the law
is false teaching.”
George Ong’s comments:
By the definition of Lloyd-Jones,
Joseph Prince is a false teacher
as he teaches the false doctrine
that the law has no more demands
on New Covenant believers.
In a sermon, ‘Not Under Law but under Grace’,
based on John 1:17
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said,
“If grace doesn’t enable me to keep
and to live the law of God,
then it just means
that the devil has triumphed over God.”
George Ong’s comments:
This means that Joseph Prince
who teaches against obeying the law,
is a tool of the devil.
By his teaching that with the advent of grace,
the law is no longer to be obeyed,
Prince is helping the devil to triumph over God.
In a sermon, ‘The Law Given By Moses’ based on John 1:17,
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said,
“Don’t you dismiss what was given through Moses,
you will never know much about grace if you do.”
“So a man who dismisses the law
he will never know much about grace and he doesn’t.”
George Ong’s comments:
Going by what Lloyd-Jones said,
this means that Joseph Prince,
who dismisses the law as no longer existent,
doesn’t know much about grace.
What is ironical is that Joseph Prince
who doesn’t know much about grace
became world-famous
precisely because he did the opposite
– he denigrates and dismisses the law
as no longer existent.
Imagine, Joseph Prince,
who speaks as though he is an expert on the grace topic,
but knows precious little about grace,
is preaching grace to the world
and is so well received and much adored for it.
This is scandalous!
The massive amount of deception
that has permeated the world
through the false grace teaching of Joseph Prince
is unimaginable!
In a Book, ‘Studies in the Sermon on the Mount’, Volume One,
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“Therefore, if your so-called grace (which you say you have received)
does not make you keep the law,
you have not received grace.
You may have received a psychological experience,
but you have never received the grace of God.”
George Ong’s comments:
By the definition of Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
Joseph Prince is certainly not a believer
as he fiercely teaches against the keeping of God’s moral laws
because they have all become obsolete.
George Ong wrote:
“The height of self-deception is when Joseph Prince,
the world’s guru of grace,
is self-deceived
that he has received grace.”
If Joseph Prince has not received grace
because he doesn’t keep the law,
do you think the masses of people
who embrace his grace teachings would?
Yet, unbelievably,
the multitudes have continued to play around with their souls
by stubbornly choosing to follow
the grace teachings of Joseph Prince
even though they have been proven in the scriptures,
and also by every Reformation and evangelical Church Father,
including, Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley,
Charles Spurgeon, G Campbell Morgan, JC Ryle, DL Moody,
Billy Graham, John Stott and Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
to be plainly and massively false.
If Joseph Prince, who is teaching grace to the world,
has not even received grace
because he is against the keeping of the law,
how can he not be a heretic?
In a teaching session, Michael Brown said;
“And that’s the larger question
about the Ten Commandments.
Does grace make them outdated?
No.
Of course not.
What’s written in Ephesians 6?
Paul says to the children,
“Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
Honor your father and mother
which is the first commandment
with a promise that it may go well with you.”
So, Paul’s actually quoting the Ten Commandments,
and quoting them to believers under grace,
and saying that this is a principle by which we live,
and that it’s the first commandment that God gave,
that had an accompanying promise;
if you do this, it will go well with you.
There’s nothing wrong with commandments.
Paul gives commandments in the New Testament,
this is how you should live to the Thessalonians for example.
1 Thessalonians 4, the word, ‘therefore’
instructions really means commandments.
These are firm things.
Jesus says, “If you love me keep my commandments.”
There is nothing wrong with commandments.
The problem is,
that they are written on stone
rather than written on our heart.
But here’s what we have to realize, a lot of people say,
“Well, I’m under grace
I don’t need all these laws and commandments.”
Then why does Paul teach us how to live?
Why does Paul say do this, don’t do this?
Live like this don’t live this?
Why does Peter do?
In fact, Peter has a whole book
filled with exhortations; how to live,
how to be holy,
how to walk in submission,
how to abstain from sinful fleshly desires.
how to resist the devil, the warfare,
when he comes to the end of his book 1 Peter 5
and says, “This is the true grace of God.”
So, grace is not in opposition
to laws and commandments.
Grace empowers us
to live out the laws and commandments
because they’re now written on our hearts.”
Michael Brown’s view
that the law that still applies to New Covenant believers,
represent that of the Contemporary Church.
For Singaporean believers, please ask your Pastor
whether he or she holds
to the opinion of Michael Brown or Joseph Prince?
No Singapore Pastor
or any true Evangelical Pastor
or Church in the world
would hold to the view of Joseph Prince.
Finally, let me quote what Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
a world-renowned Bible expositor said.
In ‘an Exposition of Ephesians 4:17 – 5:17, Darkness and Light,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“It is one of the most subtle, dangerous heresies
that can ever be offered to men and women.
… and the argument
that the law has got nothing to do with us
is a case of the devil appearing as an angel of light.”

Do you know what that means?
That means, according to Martyn Lloyd-Jones
Joseph Prince who teaches
that the law has got nothing to do with us
is not only promoting a dangerous heresy,
but he comes from the devil himself
appearing as an angel of light.
