and I am more than twice his age.

than many who are older than him

I watched almost the entire funeral proceedings
of Charlie Kirk on 21 Sep 2025,
and I was in tears many times.
But I shed the most tears
when I viewed what his wife, Erika,
had to say about Charlie Kirk’s killer:

Part 1: Charlie Kirk Died as a Martyr while Joseph Prince Opposes Martyrdom

“So, the shooter killed him
for holding to Christian positions.
I believe that Charlie Kirk was a martyr.
He is an actual martyr.
Now, you might think,
but he wasn’t technically killed
for the preaching of the gospel, Mike.
It wasn’t specifically probably because of the gospel.
It was because of trans issues, or feminism,
or marriage and family issues.
That’s Christian values getting him martyred.
And I think we have an example in Scripture of somebody
who, if you’re gonna say Kirk wasn’t a martyr,
then I think you’d have to say
John the Baptist wasn’t a martyr.
John the Baptist was not killed
for preaching greater is he who comes after me than me.
I’m not worthy to untie his sandals.
He wasn’t killed for that.
He wasn’t killed for saying behold like
the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
He was not killed for that.
John the Baptist was killed
because he held up moral values
to the political power of Herod
and he said your fornication,
your incestuous relationship with your brother’s wife,
this is wrong.
And he spoke openly about it and it got him killed.
John is absolutely a martyr.
He’s a martyr for this
and he’s not the only martyr in Scripture
who was killed for holding up moral values, right,
in a political fashion.
That’s a good thing that to do.
What he (Charlie Kirk) did was good here
and he was killed by the shooter for his Christian values.
This means, this means that if people believe
that Charlie Kirk deserved it,
then I also deserved it
for I share and will continue to advocate
for those values that I just outlined.”

“Let me just tell you this
– Paul was stoned, Paul didn’t die.
Paul lived to see another day.
Stephen was stoned – the first martyr, Stephen died.
But did he die because of stoning?
Watch, Acts 7 (Acts 7:59-60 NKJV)
and we’ll bring this to a close.
59 ‘And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God’ and Stephen was ‘saying, ‘Lord Jesus’, what did he say? ‘receive my spirit.’
Now Paul was stoned by those same experts.
These people, they know how to stone, okay.
When they stone, you are dead.
But Paul was stoned and Paul got up
and walked back into the city and preach.
Some people believe Paul died momentarily.
Whatever the case was, he lived to see another day.
But he (Stephen) died because ‘Lord Jesus’,
he says, ‘receive my spirit’.
Look at the style by which he died:
Acts 7:60 NKJV
60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lord, do not charge them with this sin.’ And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
I want to tell you something. Proverbs 18:21.
You know what it says:
21 ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.’
If you love death, you talk death,
hey, you will eat the fruit.
That’s what it says.
You love life, speak life,
you will eat the fruit of life.
We are so quick to say ‘die’ in our culture,
and I believe also internationally.
Death has been programmed into the language.
Why is it?
So the devil knows that he cannot,
you know the devil can speak words into your mind,
the devil knows he has no power.
His words has no power
because the devil is not sitting on the throne.
It is only where the word of the king is, there is power.
We are seated with Christ.
So the devil can suggest a lot of things
but don’t you say it.
The devil needs you to say it. Amen.
And while we are on this,
we can see that even Samson did not die
because of what he did to the walls.
This is what he said:
2 Samuel 16:29-30 NKJV
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. 30 Then Samson said, let me what? die with the Philistines! And he pushed with all his might. He pushed down the pillars – and the Bible says ‘the temple fell on the Lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.’
But notice again, he (Samson) spoke his life out.
Watch what you say.
Death and life in the power of the tongue.”
If you have viewed the above video,
you do not need any more evidence to be convinced
that Joseph Prince is against martyrdom
– the Martyrdom of Stephen.
Specifically, Prince teaches that Stephen needn’t have to die
because he didn’t die from stoning.
He died only because of what he uttered
“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” (Acts 7:59 NKJV)
And because Stephen uttered
“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit,”
that was what actually killed him
because of Joseph Prince’s doctrine in Proverbs 18:21,
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
By Joseph Prince’s teaching,
he has grossly dishonoured Stephen,
the first martyr of the Christian Church
because Joseph Prince is actually saying
that Stephen needn’t have to die as a martyr
and he could have lived
if he didn’t utter the prayer,
“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” (Acts 7:59 NKJV)
This is to support his teaching
that New Covenant believers can never die as martyrs
(because Christ has already died for them on the cross)
and Stephen’s case does not support
the martyrdom of believers
as he wasn’t killed by the stoning of his persecutors
but by his own doing when he uttered
“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
Joseph Prince is tantamount to treating Stephen and Samson
like fools and idiots,
as under normal circumstances,
no right-minded human being (not just believers)
would choose to die when they could live.
By his teaching, Joseph Prince has not only dishonoured
the martyrdom of Stephen
but also that of Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk is only 31-years-old;
and I am more than twice his age.
‘But Charlie Kirk has put me to shame’
as he has achieved much more
than many who are older than him
in their entire lifetimes.
Do I agree with Charlie Kirk on all his views?
Of course not!
Do I agree with John MacArthur on all his views?
No way!
In fact, there are 2 of his views that I am strongly against:
his Pre-tribulation rapture view,
and his extreme criticisms about the Charismatic Movement.
But why do you think I continue to use
many of John Macarthur’s resources on my website.
Common sense will tell you that
just because I disagree with him in some areas,
doesn’t mean I cannot leverage and cooperate
on the many other areas with which we can agree.
So, the same with Charlie Kirk.
I watched almost the entire funeral proceedings

just like the one who took his life.
That young man, that young man on the cross,
our Savior said,
“Father, forgive them,
for they not know what they do.”
That man, that young man, I forgive him.
I forgive him because it was what Christ did,
and is what Charlie would do.
The answer to hate is not hate.
The answer we know from the gospel is love
and always love,
love for our enemies
and love for those who persecute us.”

The way they shared in the second part of the video
about our encounter
had tickled my funny bone
and I’m sure it would do the same to yours too.
But what’s gratifying is that
another 2 Ex New Creation Church members,
Joseph Kingsley & Sharon Kingsley,
have been delivered from the heresies of Joseph Prince.
Both the Kingsleys had displayed great courage
in their readiness to come forward to testify on camera
against Joseph Prince and his heresies
for which I didn’t even have to do any persuading.
May more Ex New Creation Church members
follow their excellent example to come forward to testify
for the sake of delivering more people
in New Creation Church
out of the bondage of Joseph Prince’s false teachings.
I am also happy to announce
that both Joseph and Sharon Kingsley are part of the new team.
