Joseph Prince is Leading the Multitudes on the Broad & Easy Road to Destruction (Matt 7:13) (Dated 8 August 2020)

“The hallmark of a true born-again believer is the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in him evidenced by his walk of obedience and repentance. Both these requirements are either absent or severely down-played by Joseph Prince in his messages. In fact, he has infused his followers with a false sense of righteousness and security by making Jesus their servant and proxy in sanctification, with his misleading indoctrination that Jesus has done it all on the cross and it is finished. Nowhere in his messages does one get the sense that Jesus is really Lord and Master. But we know that “….Whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him” (John 3:36). When one adds, takes away from God’s word or modifies the meaning even by just one word, it is no longer God’s word but man’s. Followers of Joseph Prince are not listening to God but to a man. His deceptive teachings have so insidiously infiltrated the minds of his ardent followers that they are no longer able to discern truth from falsehood. Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, Joseph Prince is leading the multitudes on the broad and easy road to destruction (Matt 7:13). For this reason and for the love of God this man, Joseph Prince must be stopped.

Rev George Ong has done a mammoth job of refuting Joseph Prince point by point, scripture upon scripture, to the inescapable conclusion even to the non-Bereans amongst us, that Joseph Prince is indeed a false preacher, a shepherd feeding himself, a cloud without rain, twice dead, uprooted. Presently, it seems like Rev George is a one-man crusade against the heresies of Joseph Prince. I spoke to a couple of Pastors some time back about the need to speak up against Joseph Prince’s heresies. A diplomatic and non-committal answer was all I got. I understand they fear losing their flock or worse, their good name. But is not the job of Pastors to protect their flock against false teachings? If they don’t speak up publicly, how would the flock know? Are we as a church to tolerate falsehood like the Church of Thyatira (Rev 2:20) or who have allowed heresies to be infiltrated into their midst like the Church of Pergamum (Rev 2:14-15)? Aren’t we to fear God and not man? I thank God for Rev George Ong for fearing God rather than man and for his courageous crusade against the heresies of Joseph Prince. May many more Pastors and the people of God arise and join Rev George in this endeavour for the sake of God’s Kingdom. For the time is short. May the favour of the Lord our God rest on Rev George and continue to establish the work of his hands.”
