A Canadian Christian Couple Shared that Joseph Prince’s Heresies Had Kept Their Family Members in Bondage (Dated 12 Apr 2022)

(This article was also sent to Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian, General Secretary, National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) office, and for the attention of the Executive Committee Members.)

Rev George Ong’s Comments:

Last Sunday on 10 April 2022 (2 days ago), Joseph Prince who was originally scheduled to preach (according to New Creation Church’s preaching calendar), had suddenly taken himself out of it, and Lawrence Lim filled in for him in his stead at the last minute.

The same phenomenon happened a few weeks before, when Prince, abruptly, took himself out of preaching for 2 straight Sundays on 20 and 27 March 2022 even though he was originally scheduled to preach. Then Prince came on to preach the following Sunday on 3 April 2022 (2 Sundays ago) after ‘missing in action’ for 2 straight Sundays. Strangely, the same thing happened last Sunday on 10 April 2022.

I have also noticed that when Prince came on to preach on 3 April (2 Sundays ago), the number of clicks to his sermon had dwindled by more than 1,000 clicks (just at the 8.30 am service alone and not counting the other four timings that his sermon was beamed on YouTube). This is rather unusual.

Could his dwindling popularity on 3 April (temporary or permanent) and his absence from the pulpit on 10 April (last Sunday) be related? Is the recent fall of Brian Houston, the Pastor of Hillsong Church, who is Joseph Prince’s buddy, connected to his dwindling popularity (temporary or permanent)?

Well, the main reason for mentioning this is that my article on a particular week which is usually (not always) based on Joseph Prince’s sermons the previous Sunday cannot be done for this week (today’s article), as Prince didn’t preach last Sunday.

So, for this week, I am featuring 2 short articles written by a Canadian Christian couple – Jeff and Elizabeth Williams.

Recently, while researching for materials against Joseph Prince’s heresies on the internet, Elizabeth Williams (the wife) ‘bumped’ into my website. She found them so helpful that she had read about 40% of the 4,800 pages of the 10 volumes of notes featured on my website within a short time. Now, she has gone well beyond that.

I had a good chat with her and her husband, Jeff, through whatsapp call and had many email exchanges. Elizabeth shared with me her grave concern about how the heresies of Joseph Prince have deceived and kept many of her family members under bondage.

Jeff, the husband, first wrote to me:

Pastor George Ong, thank you so much for exposing the Satanic hyper-grace false doctrine of Xenonamandar Jegahusiee Singh (Joseph Prince).

Only a narcissist would see himself as Joseph the Prince of Egypt, not to mention naming himself ‘Joseph Prince’.

My wife has 5 family members DEEPLY involved with this wolf in sheep’s clothing. They buy ALL his books and endlessly watch him on TV. One family member was so ‘blessed’ by his book ‘Destined to Reign’ that my wife was presented with a copy, and on the front cover, her sister wrote that this book was the next best book to the Bible. The book became ‘Destined for the Garbage Can’ when my wife threw it away.

We have tried for years to expose this wolf, Joseph Prince, through the written word and prayer and my wife’s family members REFUSE to listen or heed the warnings of the written Word. It is just like talking to a Jehovah Witness cult member. Lord willing, they will “come out” of this extremely heretical cult.

We encourage you, Pastor George Ong and your wife both to keep preaching the truth of the written Word and to expose Joseph Prince, the heretic.

Elizabeth Williams, the wife then wrote to me the following:

Dear Pastor George Ong, I write to you today to express my deep concern regarding the false gospel, which Joseph Prince is propagating world-wide and to share the story of my family’s involvement with this man Joseph Prince, from Singapore.

To start with, it is important to state that we as believers/disciples of Jesus Christ have been warned by Jesus that many false teachers and false prophets shall arise in the last days.

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that these very deceivers and false prophets are among us. There is an invasion of the end-time wolves in the body of Christ taking place, which Jesus warned us of in Matthew 7:15. Jesus said,

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves”.

Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives with his disciples, and they asked him what would be the sign of his coming, and of the end of the age. Jesus warned them four times to be aware of deception in Matthew 24.

Jesus answered them in verses 4 and 5;

“Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”

In verse 11 Jesus warned,

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

And in verse 24;

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

I live in the country of Canada and I have five family members who have been faithfully following Joseph Prince closely for the past 8 to 10 years and have become Joseph Prince’s disciples, instead of Jesus Christ’s disciples. They watch him on the daily Christian television broadcasts, videos and have purchased many of his books.

It troubles me greatly that my mother who has been a Christian for many years has been beguiled by Joseph Prince. Due to her reading of Joseph Prince’s books on ‘Holy Communion’, she now takes communion daily by herself for healing of her body and/or she will take it for the healing of others.

Recently, I have developed a skin disorder and she advised me that she has been taking communion for healing for me. I asked her why she would do this and she stated that there is healing in the communion and then quoted to me “that with His stripes we are healed” (Isa 53:5).

I told her that the Lord’s Supper was to be done in “Remembrance of Him”, 1 Corinthians 11:24-26. She was adamant that communion has been given to us for health and healing in our bodies. She has been deceived by Joseph Prince and his twisting and omitting of scripture with regards to the Lord’s Supper. My mother has fallen prey to Joseph Prince’s lies and deceptions, as she is desperate for healing in her body, as she suffers from many conditions. Joseph Prince preys upon those who are vulnerable, including my elderly mother.

My sister has also gone down the same road as my mother and takes ‘Holy Communion’ regularly, often by herself. A few years ago, my sister gave me Joseph Prince’s book “Destined to Reign” as a present. On the inside cover my sister had written that this was the best book she had ever read, besides the Bible and that Joseph Prince’s book would change my life.

I read only a few pages of it and then threw it into the garbage. I could not believe my sister would even compare the Bible, God’s Holy Word, to that of a false book written by Joseph Prince. And yet this is the deep deception over her life.

While visiting my mother’s home one day, my brother entered the dining room and stated that he wasn’t feeling well. No sooner had those words come out of his mouth, he then stated that he shouldn’t have said it and that it was wrong of him to confess this.

I asked him why it was wrong to speak the truth about how he was feeling, and he was hesitant to share with me his reasons. I know that he is believing falsely, that the words from his mouth will affect his health/life and therefore he cannot speak anything that is contrary to being healthy and well. He too is a follower/disciple of Joseph Prince’s false gospel.

I have attempted several times over the years, using the Bible scriptures, to expose Joseph Prince’s false doctrines, lies and heresy, to my family members. They became angry and defensive of him and would then shun me for some time. No phone calls or emails from them. They just completely ignore me as if I don’t exist. They truly act and behave as those who are in a cult.

There is a scripture which has been troubling me greatly; 2 John 1:10,

“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:”

2 John 1:11,

“For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

With the ability of television and the internet, we are able to bring into our homes these false teachers and false prophets. We have been and are being warned to NOT bring these wolves in sheep’s clothing such as Joseph Prince into our homes via television/internet or any other means, otherwise we are bidding them God speed and will be guilty of their evil deeds.

It is with deep sadness that I tell you that my family members are involved in bringing Joseph Prince into their homes via television, internet, and his books. By doing so, they are a partaker of Prince’s evil deeds.

I am praying daily for my family members, that the Lord Jesus will open their spiritual eyes and their spiritual ears to His truth. I am praying that they will repent of their waywardness from the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that the Lord can have mercy upon them and restore them back to obedience/fellowship in Him and not Joseph Prince.

Joseph Prince is preaching ‘another Jesus’, ‘another spirit’ and ‘another gospel’.

2 Corinthians 11:4,

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Revelation 18:4,

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

My prayer is that my family and the multitudes of people who are beguiled by Joseph Prince will come out of him, and testify of the Lord’s true saving grace (and not the false grace doctrine of Joseph Prince) in their lives. Glory to God. Amen.

Maranatha,

Jeff & Elizabeth Williams
