Massive & Many Gross Errors in Joseph Prince’s 6 April 2025 sermon
Part 1: Joseph Prince’s Teaching that Good Things will Happen to Believers who Know the Love of God is Against both Christ’s & Paul’s teachings.

In the sermon on 6 Apr 2025, 2 Sundays ago,
Joseph Prince said,
“And when you feel the love of God,
something wonderful happens to you.
I have a message I preached many years ago, called,
“Good things happen to people
who believe God loves them.”
So, I tell you this when you feel loved, the love of God,
when you sense the love of God,
good things happen in you, even in your health.
You become whole, even mental health,
you become sound. Amen.
And good things happen to you.”
This is a pertinent example of a feel-good theology
that Joseph Prince uses to hook people into his camp
– that just because you feel or sense the love of God,
good things will happen to you.
The good things that Joseph Prince meant are
that believers will be healthy both physically and mentally;
that they have the covenantal right to be as wealthy as Abraham was;
that they will look youthful and live a long life to any age they wish;
that they will always be protected by God from accidents, calamity and martyrdom (since Christ has died for us and given us the abundant life, we don’t have to die for Him);
and so on and so forth.
Now, there is nothing wrong with experiencing the love of God
and in fact, any true believer should.
But for Joseph Prince to say
that just because we experience the love of God,
good things such as the above will happen to us
is grossly unbiblical.
Didn’t Christ in the Upper Room
say that Father God and He Himself love His disciples:
John 14:21 NIV
21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
John 14:23 NIV
23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
John 15:9 NIV
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
John 16:26 NIV
26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
But just because Father God and the Lord Jesus
love their disciples,
does that mean that good things
that are taught by Joseph Prince
would always happen to them?
No!
In fact, it is in the same Upper Room where Jesus said
that Father God and He Himself love the disciples,
Jesus Himself also warned
that they would go through tribulation
and even be killed
(11 out of 12 disciples were eventually martyred):
John 16:33 NASB
33 These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:1-4 NIV
1 “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. 3 They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4 I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you,
By what Joseph Prince taught
that when believers feel or sense the love of God,
wonderful and good things will happen to them,
but when the reverse happens to them,
as it had happened to Jesus’ disciples,
they may think that God doesn’t love them anymore,
and that’s why ‘bad things’ are happening to them.
What is worse is that
many believers are likely to get bitter with God,
and may even leave the Christian Faith.
Next, in Joseph Prince’s Blog, ‘Daily Grace Inspiration’,
and along that same line as what he had preached
in his sermon on 6 Apr 2025,
Joseph Prince wrote:
“Good Things Happen when You Believe God Loves You!
. . . to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:18-19)
… Good things simply happen to you when you believe that God loves you!
… When Paul prayed for the church of Ephesus, he prayed that they might be able to comprehend “what is the width and length and depth and height” of “the love of Christ”.
… Now, observe closely the result of them knowing the Lord’s love for them: they would be “filled with all the fullness of God.”
… It says that when you know the love of Christ, you will be filled with the fullness of God. You will see Him provide for your needs in big and small ways…”
Joseph Prince doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
First, Joseph Prince quoted that Paul taught
when he wrote in Ephesians 3:18-19,
that good things will happen
to those who know the love of Christ.
But did good things, according to Joseph Prince’s teachings,
happen to Paul?
No!
In fact, Paul was in prison, suffering for his faith
when he wrote the letter of Ephesians,
and in particular,
when he wrote about knowing the love of Christ
in Ephesians 3:18-19:
Ephesians 3:1 NIV
1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—
Ephesians 4:1 NIV
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
If Paul’s life doesn’t even support Joseph Prince’s teaching
that good things will happen to those who know the love of God,
Joseph Prince’s constant assertion
that he has learned all his grace theology from Paul
is one big lie.
Next, Joseph Prince wrote:
“… Now, observe closely the result of them knowing the Lord’s love for them: they would be “filled with all the fullness of God.”
… It says that when you know the love of Christ, you will be filled with the fullness of God. You will see Him provide for your needs in big and small ways…”
It is nothing wrong for God to provide for our needs.
But according to the context of the passage,
knowing the love of Christ
and being filled with the fullness of God
has nothing to do with having your needs met.
This is yet another feel-good theology of Joseph Prince.
In ‘the Bible Speaks Today, The Message of Ephesians,’
John Stott wrote concerning Ephesians 3:19
about being filled with all the fullness of God:
“The aspiration (of being filled with all the fullness of God) is the same in principle as that implied by the commands to be holy as God is holy, and to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.
Such a prayer must surely look on to our final state of perfection in heaven when together we enter the completeness of God’s purpose for us, and are filled to capacity, filled up to that fullness of God which human beings are capable of receiving without ceasing to be human.
Another way of expressing the prospect is that we shall become like Christ, which is God’s purpose and promise, for Christ is himself the fullness of God.
Yet another way of putting it is to say that we shall attain the fullness of love, of which Paul has just spoken in his prayer. Then Jesus’ own prayer will be fulfilled: ‘That the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.’
In saying that Paul’s last petition points to heavenly perfection, we have no liberty to try to evade its contemporary challenge. For God expects us to be growing daily towards that final fullness, as we are being transformed by the Holy Spirit into Christ’s image from one degree of glory to another.
As we now look back down the staircase which we have been climbing with Paul, we cannot fail to be struck by his audacity. He prays that his readers may be given the strength of the Spirit and the ruling presence of Christ, the rooting of their lives in love, the knowledge of Christ’s love in all its dimensions, and the fullness of God himself.
These are bold petitions. Climbers of this staircase become short of breath, even a little giddy. But Paul does not leave us in suspense.”
Part 2: Are you puzzled why Joseph Prince calls John Wesley a Great Man of God even though Wesley calls his Antinomian doctrine to be the worst of all heresies & treats him as a heretic
In the sermon on 6 Apr 2025, 2 Sundays ago,
Joseph Prince said,
“Something good happens in you,
or to you, and around you
when you sensed God’s love.
John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, Methodist Lah,
he has this to say, very interesting quote.
It’ll be good for you to remember this quote.
He’s a great man of God
and he knows what he’s saying.
He said this:
“The love of God is the most powerful of all means
of health and long life.”
The love of God, hey listen, he didn’t just say, “a means.”
He didn’t just say, “powerful means.”
He said, “It is the most powerful of all means,”
whether it’s medicine, operation, food, diet, exercise
whatever it is, of all of them,
the love of God is the most powerful of all means
of health and long life. Amen. Amen.”
Do you know why Joseph Prince dared not quote the primary source
of where he got this particular quote of John Wesley?
The reason – Joseph Prince doesn’t know the primary source.
This is because he merely quotes from Bonnie Sasko,
(Anthology of Religious Thought, Allegheny Publications, 2001)
who wrote that John Wesley said or wrote:
“The love of God is the most powerful of all means
of health and long life.”
And if Joseph Prince quotes from a secondary source
such as Bonnie Sasko,
why didn’t he make this clear at the outset?
Reason – first, Joseph Prince wanted to deceive people
that what John Wesley said
was quoted by him from a primary source.
Second, Joseph Prince was afraid
that if he reveals the secondary source,
this would make John Wesley’s quote less believable.
I mean who is Bonnie Sasko?
Nobody knows!
Is he a trustworthy writer whom we can believe
that what he quoted from John Wesley
is what Wesley actually said or wrote?
Moreover, even if the quote of John Wesley is correct,
is there a context to what he said?
If one is alert, one would know
that knowing the context of a particular statement,
can sometimes mean the reverse
of what it is supposed to mean.
Furthermore, I have already proven from Part 1 of this article
that Joseph Prince’s teaching
that good things will happen to believers
who know the love of God
is against both Christ’s and Paul’s teachings.
And Joseph Prince is using John Wesley’s quote
to beef up this teaching.
So, how can John Wesley be teaching something
that is against the teachings of the Lord Jesus and the Apostle Paul.
So, this particular quote of John Wesley
is likely to be either a false quote or quoted out of context.
Next, Joseph Prince said of John Wesley:
“He’s a great man of God
and he knows what he’s saying.”
Why would Joseph Prince say John Wesley is a great man of God
when Wesley had many terrible things to say
about Joseph Prince’s teachings?
There are many quotes of John Wesley
taken from primary sources
that are against Joseph Prince’s teachings;
but just to name a few…
In ‘The Works of John Wesley, Volume 6,
First Series of Sermons (40-53),
Second Series Begun (54-86), by John Wesley,’
John Wesley said:
“May it not be observed…
that the sin which the Apostle charges
on the communicants at Corinth in this chapter
is usually quite misunderstood?
It was precisely this, and nothing else,
“the taking one before another his own supper;”
and in such a shocking manner,
that while “one was hungry,
another was drunken.”
By doing this, he says, “ye eat and drink”
(not “damnation;” a vile mistranslation of the word, but)
judgment, temporal judgment, “to yourselves:”
Which sometimes shortened their lives.
“For this cause” – for sinning in this vile manner
– “many are sick and weak among you.”
Observe here two things:
First, what was the sin of the Corinthians?
Mark it well, and remember it.
It was taking one before another his own supper;
so that while one was hungry, another was drunken.
Secondly, what was the punishment?
It was bodily weakness and sickness;
which, without repentance,
might end in death.”
George Ong’s comments:
What John Wesley said here in this quote
that the sin of Corinthians
can result in sickness (not health)
and can shorten their lives
even can end in death (not long life),
is the opposite of the quote of John Wesley
that Joseph Prince quoted:
“The love of God is the most powerful of all means
of health and long life.”
I am sure the Corinthians know the love of God
as many of them are believers,
yet, some have succumbed to sickness
and have their lives shortened by ending in death.
In ‘The Complete Works of John Wesley,
Volume 2, Journals 1745-1760,’
John Wesley wrote:
“… though I preached the Law
from the beginning of my sermon to the end,
yet many were exceedingly comforted.”
George Ong’s comments:
Joseph Prince, who has been singing the tune
that the preaching of the law
would condemn and put fear into us,
is contradicted by John Wesley,
who wrote that the preaching of the law
could conversely and exceedingly comfort believers.
In ‘The Complete Works of John Wesley,
Volume 2, Journals 1745-1760,’
John Wesley wrote:
“Fri. 4. – I preached about one at Forncet,
to a much milder people than I left there;
and in the evening at Kenninghall,
where the Antinomians had labored hard
in the devil’s service.”
George Ong’s comments:
John Wesley described the Antinomians
of which Joseph Prince is one,
as serving the devil.
This means Joseph Prince, who is an Antinomian,
is not serving God but Satan himself.
In ‘The Works of John Wesley, Volume 4,
Journals Sept 13, 1773 – Oct 24, 1790, by John Wesley,’
John Wesley wrote:
“Tues. 12. – Joseph Bradford preached at five in the morning.
I preached in the new House about six in the evening,
and guarded them against
that deadly Antinomianism
which has so often choked the good seed here.”
George Ong’s comments:
John Wesley saw that the Antinomian ‘gospel’
as deadly to listeners.
And Wesley takes it as his responsibility
to guard the people against the doctrine,
the evil doctrine that Joseph Prince teaches.
In ‘The Complete Works of John Wesley,
Volume 14, Grammars, Music, Letters, by John Wesley,’
John Wesley wrote:
“O may He who hath so solemnly declared,
“Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the Prophets:
Verily I say unto you,
Not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the Law,
till heaven and earth pass away,”
– give the same blessing to this little treatise now
as he did near a hundred years ago!
May He once again make it a powerful antidote
against the spreading poison of Antinomianism;
and thereby save many simple, unwary souls
from “seeking death in the error of their life!”
George Ong’s comments:
John Wesley treated the threat of Antinomianism
the doctrine that Joseph Prince teaches
utterly seriously.
He described it as poison
that would bring about one’s spiritual death.
In ‘The Works of John Wesley, Volume 9, Letters and Essays,
by John Wesley,’ John Wesley wrote:
“The doctrine you teach
is only a revival of the old Antinomian heresy…
I presume it is only a pious fraud.”
George Ong’s comments:
John Wesley categorically calls Antinomianism
a heresy and pious fraud.
In ‘The John Wesley Biography Collection,
By Rev Richard Green,’ he wrote:
“A far more serious trouble to Wesley
than any personal affliction
was the antinomianism
which threatened his societies (churches)
with mortal disease.
He was ever awake to the dangers
which arise from the perversions of evangelical doctrine.
He (Wesley) considered antinomianism
the worst of all heresies.”
Finally, if John Wesley, considers Antinomianism,
the doctrine that Joseph Prince preaches,
not only to be a heresy
but the worst of all heresies,
how can Joseph Prince calls John Wesley a great man of God?
The reason – it is Joseph Prince’s deceptive plan
to give the false idea
that just because John Wesley agrees with him on
“The love of God is the most powerful of all means
of health and long life.”
(we don’t even know whether this quote is true),
Wesley must be preaching the same grace doctrine
that he preaches.
But from the above quotes of John Wesley,
he considers Joseph Prince’s Antinomian doctrine
to be the worst of all heresies.
And if John Wesley considers Joseph Prince to be a heretic,
Joseph Prince has got to be the most shameless person
to dare to use Wesley’s one quote to beef up his doctrine,
when all other quotes of Wesley are against his doctrine.
Part 3: Joseph Prince Lied Big time against Jesus when he said Jesus Gave Only One Commandment – love one another as He loved us (Jn 13:34)
In the sermon on 6 Apr 2025, 2 Sundays ago,
Joseph Prince said,
“And that’s why the greatest commandment,
the only commandment that Jesus gave us
is to love one another as He loved us.
That’s the commandment for the believer.”
What Joseph Prince said is one big lie
as Jesus gave ‘countless’ of commandments
throughout the gospels.
Let’s just consider the Book of Matthew
I am not even listing out the long list of the commandments
Jesus gave in the Book of Matthew, but only sampling:
We must repent to be saved (Matt 4:17).
17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
We are to obey and teach God’s commandments (Matt 5:19).
19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
We are to reconcile with those we’ve offended (Matt 5:23-25).
23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. 25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
We are to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matt 5:44).
44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
We are to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness (Matt 6:33).
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We are to do for others what we want them to do for us (Matt 7:12).
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
We must enter by the narrow gate and walk the narrow road that leads to life (Matt 7:13).
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
We must confess Jesus before others and not deny Him (Matt 10:32-33).
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
We must love Jesus more than our parents or children (Matt 10:37).
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
We must take up our cross and follow Jesus (Matt 10:38).
38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
We must be prepared to lose our life for Jesus’ sake (Matt 10:39).
39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Finally, in the Great Commission, Jesus said (Matt 28:20),
20 and teaching them to obey everything
I have commanded you…
This means there are plenty of commandments that Jesus gave
that are not for show but they are meant to be obeyed.
And if we add up all of Jesus’ commandments,
not just in the Book of Matthew but all the rest of the gospels,
and the entire New Testament books,
the number is humongous!
Joseph Prince has indeed lied big time when he said
that the only commandment Jesus gave
was to love one another as He loved us (Jn 13:34).
Part 4: Joseph Prince falsely accuses Jesus for teaching that healing can be 30-fold & 60-fold & not 100-fold or instantaneous in John 4:52.
In a sermon on 6 Apr 2025, 2 Sundays ago,
Joseph Prince said,
“Another question people will like to ask is
“Pastor, how come my healing has not yet manifest?”
I’ll tell you one thing.
You have improved.
Thank God for it.
There is one place in the Bible, where Jesus,
usually the healing is all instantaneous,
but there’s one where the Bible uses the phrase
in the King James version,
the child began to amend.
Jesus asked when did the child began to amend (Jn 4:52)?
So, began to amend means what?
Your restoration of healing has begun.
So, the word of healing is the same,
it manifests 30-fold, 60-fold, 100-fold.”
Joseph Prince lied about John 4:52
as he postured that Jesus was using that verse
to teach that healing may not be instantaneous
but progressively occurred by stages
at 30-fold, then 60-fold and finally 100-fold,
when the that verse teaches the opposite:
John 4:46-54 KJV
46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. 48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. 49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. 52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. 54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
John 4:51-53 MEV
51 While he was going down, his servants met him and told him, “Your son lives!” 52 When he inquired of them the hour when he began to heal, they answered, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 Then the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” So he and his whole household believed.
John 4:51-53 NIV
51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. 52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.” 53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed.
Can you sense how deceptive and unprincipled Joseph Prince is?
When the passage in John 4:46-54,
and in particular, John 4:52,
was trying to convey the message
that the boy was instantaneously healed by Jesus,
John 4:52-53 KJV
52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth:
Joseph Prince twisted it to say
that the healing of the boy had just begun
– purportedly supporting his different stages of healing
at 30-fold, 60-fold and 100-fold healing.
Why did Joseph Prince alludes to the 30-fold, 60-fold
and 100-fold healing principle?
It is to cover himself and used it as a convenient excuse,
so, he could explain why so many who are prayed by him
are not healed yet, immediately
– as they may be 30-fold healed,
and then wait for a period of time to be 60-fold healed,
and then wait for ‘don’t know how long’
for it to be 100-fold healed.
And some of you may not be aware
that nowhere in the scriptures
is healing associated
with this 30-fold, 60-fold and 100-fold principle
that Joseph Prince has churned up.
This principle of 30-fold, 60-fold and 100-fold
appears in the Parable of the Sower
in Matthew 13:8, 23, Mark 4:8, 20 and Luke 8:8.
It has to do with how those who receive the word
produces different effects on people
– some 30-fold, others 60-fold, and yet others, 100-fold.
But it has nothing to do with healing.
And there is no scripture
that links this idea with healing.
So, Joseph Prince has again used Bible texts
which this principle appears,
out of its context,
and apply indiscriminately to healing.
Hence, his reputation as a serial hypocrite
– that he repeatedly breaks the same rule
of interpreting a text in its context
that he exhorts others to observe
is ‘double confirmed’.

And there are people criticising this sermon,
not knowing that that’s the reason
why the heart is filled with unforgiveness,
even towards me, preaching this sermon.”

What?
Joseph Prince said that his critics
have committed the sin of unforgiveness towards him.
Why?
Just because Joseph Prince said
they will criticise his sermon preached on 6 Apr 2025.
And why did his critics criticise his sermon?
Simply because his sermons
and particularly his sermon on 6 Apr 2025
are filled with many gross errors.
What Joseph Prince is saying is that
anyone who contends against his heresies
has effectively committed the sin of unforgiveness
towards him.
Going by Joseph Prince’s definition of what unforgiveness is,
he is also accusing Jesus, Paul, Peter, Jude, John, etc,
for committing the sin of unforgiveness
because they all taught
that believers must more than criticise,
but they must take a tough stance, and if necessary,
to contend against heretics and their heresies:
Jesus in Matthew 7:15-20
Paul in Galatians 1:8-9
Peter in 2 Peter 2:1-22
John in 2 John 9-11
Jude in Jude 3-4
Part 5b: Joseph Prince lied that he loves his critics, as he is now slandering and falsely accusing them for committing the serious sin of unforgiveness towards him
In a previous sermon, Joseph Prince said,
“And to all my critics out there,
I love you, and all that, I love you, I really do.”
But in the sermon on 6 Apr 2025, 2 Sundays ago,
Joseph Prince said,
“That is the reason
why there’s a lot of unforgiveness in the church.
And there are people criticising this sermon,
not knowing that that’s the reason
why the heart is filled with unforgiveness,
even towards me preaching this sermon.”
Hey Joe, what’s happening?
One moment,
you said you really love your critics.
But the next moment,
you slander and falsely accuse them
for being unforgiving towards you.
How can Joseph Prince who claims to love his critics
be slandering and falsely accusing them
for committing the sin of unforgiveness towards him?
A love that slanders and falsely accuses
is a fake love
that can only come from a fraud like Joseph Prince!
