What is of deepest concern to the Singapore Church
is that Bishop Gordon Wong,
the former Bishop of the Methodist Church,
who previously sat as Vice-President,
of the National Council of Churches of Singapore, NCCS,
wrote an article himself some time ago
(when he wasn’t yet a bishop).
Let me quote an excerpt of what Bishop Gordon Wong wrote:
“Let me begin by saying
that Pastor Prince’s emphasis on grace
has been a great blessing from God to many.
My nephew and cousin belong to New Creation church
and have grown immensely
in their relationship with God.
My prayer is that God will use Prince’s gifts of preaching
to even more blessed effect
as he allows the Holy Spirit to convict him
(graciously, as always) of areas
that could be improved.”
This is unbelievable!
One of Singapore’s Key Shepherds and National Leaders
had written that
(this article was written some time ago
before he became bishop):
“Pastor Prince’s emphasis on grace
has been a great blessing from God to many,
and Bishop Gordon Wong
prayed for a heretic to be successful,
“that God will use Prince’s gifts of preaching
to even more blessed effect…”
How can light and darkness be working together?
How can the servants of God
and the servants of Satan collude together?
How can a shepherd of God’s flock
pray for the success of a heretic,
a tool of the devil?
If Bishop Gordon Wong,
being a prominent and national leader of the Singapore Church
can be deceived by Joseph Prince,
we have indeed reached an appallingly sad and sorry state.
I don’t believe Bishop Gordon Wong has recanted
what he had written,
and I believe this is still his position
regarding Joseph Prince’s heretical doctrine
– and that means he is still praying for a wolf in sheepskin,
Joseph Prince to succeed in his vicious and malicious design
to destroy more sheep.
This is the state of the Singapore Church Leadership!
This is what is abominable!
Part 2: Please don’t assume that George Ong is stupid or that he hasn’t thought things through when he decides to confront NCCS & APCCS in the open
There are people who have said or written to me
that I am rather stupid
to be wasting my time featuring NCCS & APCCS
because they won’t do a thing about
the Joseph Prince’s heresies.
And I begin to wonder
why are these people so naively presumptuous
that I am stupid who hasn’t thought things through?
Of course, I am aware
that NCCS & APCCS are unlikely to take any action.
So why am I doing that
even though I am aware that NCCS & APCCS
are unlikely to do anything
about Joseph Prince’s heresies?
The reason
– regardless of whether they would do anything,
(of course, we hope they would),
I am placing more blood in their hands.
I am making them even more accountable
for their irresponsible inaction.
I am increasing the degree of their sins of omission (James 4:17)
– about the fact that they choose not to do anything,
even though it is the right thing to do,
and even though it was pointed out to them
on many occasions and publicly.
I am speaking to their conscience,
that if they, NCCS & APCCS,
think they can get away with God
with such gross and ungodly abdication of their responsibilities
– about their failure to protect and warn the sheep
from the wolf, Joseph Prince,
they are clearly mistaken.
NCCS & APCCS may hope that their silence
would not be judged on this side of heaven.
But do they honestly think they would be let off
by the judgement of God
on the other side of heaven?
NCCS & APCCS,
being the National Leaders of the Singapore Church
cannot be let off that easily
for their sins of omission and sinful inaction.
I want to make sure that when they stand before God
on their day of reckoning,
they would have nothing to say.
They would stand before God in absolute silence,
not the silence of innocence,
but the silence of shame and regret,
with no excuses to offer, whatsoever,
for their guilt of not warning their sheep
about Joseph Prince’s heresies,
because of self-preservation,
and as a result,
droves of them are led to the lake of fire.
Be that as it may,
the Singapore Church leadership
cannot remain silent anymore.
They must demonstrate the courage
that is expected of Christian leaders.
They must come forward and state their stance.
Is Joseph Prince a fellow shepherd or a heretic?
They must examine what he said in his sermons
and wrote in his books
throughout his last 30 years of ministry.
If NCCS & APCCS can prove
that Joseph Prince is teaching sound doctrine
according to the Scriptures, Orthodox Faith
and the Church Fathers,
I will publicly apologise not only to Joseph Prince,
but also to the entire Christian Community
– not only in Singapore but the whole world
for falsely accusing him.
If need be, I will make amends
with concrete works or deeds of repentance.
But if NCCS & APCCS cannot prove
what I have reasonably asked them about Joseph Prince,
they must immediately disfellowship and expel Joseph Prince
from the Christian Community
if he still chooses to remain unrepentant.
What is happening to the Singapore Church today,
which is unthinkable is that
Joseph Prince, the heretic,
is allowed to spew out heretical rubbish with reckless abandon
without even a word of rebuke, publicly,
from the Singapore Church Leadership, NCCS & APCCS.
Joseph Prince has caused so much harm
not just to the Singapore Church
but also to churches around the world,
yet the Singapore Church Leadership
is still keeping cowardly silent.
By their stubborn refusal and moral cowardice
to do anything about Joseph Prince’s heresies,
the Singapore Church Leadership, NCCS & APCCS,
is effectively abetting Joseph Prince in his destructive exploits.
Allowing a heretic, such as Joseph Prince
to operate under the official umbrella
of the Singapore Church, NCCS,
and preaching the false gospel for so many years,
leading many to their destruction
is totally intolerable, unimaginable,
and starkly going against the scriptures,
and worst of all, the Almighty God.
Because of the inaction (irresponsibility to be exact)
of the Singapore Church leadership
(not just the present council, but also the past councils
throughout all these years;
not just the council
but also every pastor in the Singapore Church,
including myself)
to deal with Joseph Prince,
it has somewhat caused his heresies
to spread to the nations worldwide.
Do we, as leaders of the Singapore Church
even feel responsible to start with?
Are we going to remain apathetic
and pretend that everything is as per normal?
Are we so afraid of rocking the boat
that we have become paralysed to what needs to be put right?
Can we be true to our conscience
for failing to act
for all these past 20 over years
and still refusing to act?
Have we forgotten that Joseph Prince
hails from our own nation of Singapore?
So cleaning up the heretical dirt in our own backyard
is our basic duty and obligatory responsibility.
Period!
All Bishops, Pastors, Elders and Leaders in Singapore
(including myself) must bear the responsibility
of not acting and not doing enough
to stop the onslaught of Joseph Prince’s heresies
throughout all these years.
Because of our indecision and inaction,
many nations are infected and flooded with his heresies
that are leading many to hell.
We owe the Christian communities
in the many nations of the world an apology.
They are waiting for a response
from the Singapore Church leadership.
NCCS & APCCS must speak now and act now!
May I also call upon all responsible Pastors and Believers
in the Singapore Church
to speak against Joseph Prince’s heresies,
and also speak against NCCS’ and APCCS’ cowardly inaction
to call out Joseph Prince as a wolf in sheepskin.
We need more, not less courageous people to speak
as Charles Swindoll has so eloquently written.
In ‘Swindoll’s Living Insights,
New Testament Commentary, Mark,’
Charles Swindoll wrote:
“It is a sad fact that our culture
now favors wimps and weaklings
and punishes people of strong conviction.
If you hold to certain beliefs or defend
a particular set of principles,
you’re considered ignorant, arrogant, and bigoted.
If you hold strongly to your own opinions,
you’re intolerant, unbending, and narrow.
If you confront someone who is in error,
you’re rude and unloving.
If you believe there are times
it is right to fight or to resist,
you’re labeled as contentious or hateful.
Even though we know in our hearts
that the truth sets us free,
something within us recoils a little
when someone has the guts
to state the truth without apology,
especially publicly, to those who need to hear it.
But if someone doesn’t stand up
to challenge those in authority
who have departed from the truth,
every playground will be run by bullies.
Every nation will be controlled by tyrants.
Every church will be intimidated by legalists.
The truth must be spoken,
or error will run amok and we’ll all suffer.
Every culture and generation needs someone
who publicly challenges the directors of groupthink
and dares to speak the truth.”

Peter Lai is the last person to officially testify on camera,
(so far and for now),
to appeal to NCCS & APCCS to do their job
of calling out Joseph Prince as heretic.
Before I met Peter Lai in person,
I was already informed by him that he has a knee problem.
But I only knew the seriousness of it
when I met him in person on the day of recording.
Because of his major knee condition,
he had to walk pretty slowly,
and he could only manage small steps, one at a time.
And I had to hold his armpit to smoothen his walk
and to lessen the pain in his knees.
On the one hand,
I felt so bad to have to ask him to come for the recording,
given his physical condition.
Yet, on the other hand,
I felt honoured to have him as the last and oldest person
to address NCCS & APCCS.
This is because despite his old age of 78 years
(11 years my senior)
and his major knee condition,
he does not mind
having to go through such physical inconveniences,
as his aim and priority
is to address NCCS & APCCS
about what they must responsibly do
regarding the issue of Joseph Prince,
who is destroying the sheep.

George Ong’s comments:
I have always believed
in the place and the power of the remnant
for the many years of my Christian life.
This is not to say that the minority is always right.
But it is also true that the majority is often wrong.
Friends, whether you believe me or not,
I am speaking through my many years of experience
in my life and ministry.
I have concrete evidence from my life and ministry
that this is often the case.
Remember, it was the Remnant Martin Luther,
who contended alone against the whole Church,
the majority, who was wrong doctrinally.
It was the Remnant Jeremiah,
who prophesied alone against the whole nation,
the majority, who had indulged in idolatry.
It was the Remnant Noah,
who stood alone against the whole world,
the majority, who sinned to a state
that is beyond redemption.
Well, one man,
the Remnant Noah was right;
the whole world,
the overwhelming majority was wrong.
One man, the Remnant Noah,
saved his whole family of eight;
the whole world, the sinful majority
perished in the judgement of the flood.
Along with the same voice,
let me now pass you over to
Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John MacArthur, AW Tozer
and Warren Wiersbe,
whose writings on the place and power of the Remnant
will encourage and inspire you.
And when you happen to find yourselves
to be in the Remnant,
don’t fret, don’t fear,
but lift up your eyes with confidence and hope
because God often specialises
in using the Remnant
for His purposes and His glory.
In ‘An Exposition of Ephesians 4:1-16, Christian Unity,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“To believe that numbers,
or the size of the Church,
is what counts is a contradiction
of the whole teaching of the Bible.
In the Old Testament, we find one doctrine
which seems to run through from beginning to end
– the doctrine of the remnant.
God works repeatedly through a remnant,
sometimes through one man.
… Martin Luther also stood alone
after all the centuries of deadness, and of Catholicism,
and in spite of all
the material power of the Roman Church
he prevailed because the power of the Head was in him.”
In ‘Exposition of Romans Chapter 11, To God’s Glory,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“Then, let us note a warning here
which is much-needed at the present time.
It is,
‘Do not be carried away by numbers.
Do not follow the crowd’.
In the time of Elijah,
almost everybody was on the wrong side;
the king and queen and all the prophets.
(No one knew about the seven thousand).
But Elijah did not say,
Well, I must be wrong;
I cannot alone be right…
… I say, thank God for this story of Elijah!
It does not matter if the whole world says the other thing;
do not follow the crowd,
do not assume that the numbers are always right.
… You do not judge these matters by numbers;
it is truth that matters.
I stand out with a man like Elijah,
Martin Luther standing alone
– standing against fifteen centuries
of Roman Catholic tradition and teaching,
all the great doctors of the church arrayed against him.
It does not matter,
he knows what is true so he says,
‘Here I stand, I can do no other;
so help me God’.
… Don’t worry, my friends;
don’t think in terms of numbers.
It is truth that matters
– not numbers, not popularity,
not any one of these things.
There is a great warning to us here.”
In ‘The Truth War, Fighting for Certainty
in an age of Deception,’
John MacArthur wrote:
“Where are the men and women today
with the courage to stand alone?
The church in our age has abandoned
the confrontive stance.
Instead of overturning worldly wisdom
with revealed truth,
many Christians today are obsessed
with finding areas of agreement.
The goal has become integration
rather than confrontation.
As the church absorbs the values of secular culture,
it is losing its ability to differentiate
between good and evil.
What will happen to the church
if everyone proceeds down
the slippery path of public opinion?
It is interesting to speculate
what the church would be like today
if Martin Luther had been prone to compromise.
The pressure was heavy on him
to tone down his teaching, soften his message,
and stop poking his finger in the eye of the papacy.
Even many of his friends and supporters
urged Luther to come to terms with Rome
for the sake of harmony in the church.
Luther himself prayed earnestly
that the effect of his teaching would not just be divisive
– but that the truth would triumph.
When he nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the church door,
the last thing he wanted to do was split the church.
Yet sometimes division is fitting, even healthy.
Especially in times like Luther’s – and like ours
– when the visible church
seems full of counterfeit Christians,
it is right for the true people of God
to declare themselves.
There is no room for compromise.
Discernment demands that we hold biblical convictions
with the most fervent tenacity.
Titus 1:9 says a basic requirement for every elder is that he be the kind of man who “[holds] fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
… It is thus mandated by God
that we take issue with error.
We must refute those who contradict,
or we do not fulfill our divine calling.
… What if people don’t like such dogmatism?
It is necessary anyway.
Sound doctrine divides, confronts, separates, judges,
convicts, reproves, rebukes, exhorts, and refutes error.
None of these things is very highly esteemed
in postmodern thought.
But the health of the church
depends on our holding firmly to the truth,
for where strong convictions are not tolerated,
discernment cannot survive.”
In ‘The Next Chapter After The Last,

AW Tozer wrote:
“History shows clearly enough that true spirituality
has never at any time been the possession of the masses.
In any given period since the fall of the human race,
only a few persons
ever discerned the right way or walked in God’s law.
God’s truth has never been popular.
Wherever Christianity becomes popular,
it is not on its way to die
– it has already died.
Popular Judaism slew the prophets and crucified Christ.
Popular Christianity killed the Reformers,
jailed the Quakers
and drove John Wesley into the streets.
When it comes to religion,
the crowds are always wrong.
At any time, there are a few who see,
and the rest are blinded.
To stand by the truth of God
against the current religious vogue
is always unpopular
and may be downright dangerous.
The historic Church,
while she was a hated minority group,
had a moral power that made her terrible to evil
and invincible before her foes.
When the Roman masses, without change of heart,
were made Christian by baptism,
Christianity gained popularity
and lost her spiritual glow.
… For it will cost us heavily to stand for the right
when the wrong is in the majority,
which is 100 percent of the time.
… For every Elijah,
there have always been
400 hundred popular prophets of Baal.
For every Noah,
there is always a vast multitude
who will not believe it is going to rain.
… He may be compelled sometimes to travel alone
or at least, to go with the ostracized few.
To belong to the despised minority
may be the price he must pay for power.”
In ‘Be Loyal Following The King of Kings,
NT Commentary Matthew,’
Warren Wiersbe wrote:
“The two ways (vv. 13–14, Matt 7).
These are, of course,
the way to heaven and the way to hell.
The broad way is the easy way; it is the popular way.
But we must not judge spiritual profession by statistics;
the majority is not always right.
The fact that “everybody does it”
is no proof that what they are doing is right.
Quite the contrary is true:
God’s people have always been a remnant,
a small minority in this world.”

Since Rev Yang Tuck Yoong’s
Cornerstone Community Church,
had received the donation of $10,000
from Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church,
is it any wonder that Rev Yang Tuck Yoong
continues to consider Joseph Prince,
who has been proven to be a heretic
to be his dear friend, who loves Jesus?
We would have to ask the other council members of APCCS,
the Denominational Heads
and the executive committee of NCCS,
and the Pastors of the Singapore Churches,
whether they, like Rev Yang Tuck Yoong’s
Cornerstone Community Church,
have received any financial support or donations
from New Creation Church?
And if they have,
could this be the reason
why they have been so silent
about speaking out against Joseph Prince
and declaring him to be a heretic?
Rev Yang Tuck Yoong has not only committed the great sin
of keeping silent about not declaring Joseph Prince
to be a heretic
because he has been receiving financial donations
from Joseph Prince,
what is worse is that
he has also revealed himself to be a double-faced hypocrite.
Proof No 1
In a sermon, Rev Yang Tuck Yoong said:

“Number 11, and I’ll go on record to say this:
‘You’re deceived
if you believe in the Hypergrace message.
I’m standing here publicly to announce that.
I don’t care what flak I get.
It doesn’t matter.
I don’t care who’s going to break fellowship with me.
It doesn’t matter. I call a spade a spade. Amen.
And the longer you sit under that anointing or teaching,
you’re going to be brainwashed by it.
You’re going to be brainwashed by it.
The theological term is Antinomianism.
It’s a theology that holds the idea
that under the dispensation of grace,
that the moral law has got no more value.
Come on, my friends,
what Bible have you been reading?
When we are dealing with the law,
you must make a distinction
between the moral law and the ceremonial law.
When Jesus came here, He abolished the ceremony,
but He never abolished the moral law.
In fact, he said I came to fulfil the law. Hallelujah.
The law is good, the law is righteous and the law is holy;
that’s what Paul says.
And the Bible has never negated the place of the law
in our hearts.
In the New Testament,
the law is written on the tablets of our hearts.
In the Old Testament,
it was written on the tablets of stone.
The law is good, Amen, Amen.
And once in a while,
you should recite the Ten Commandments
and say, ‘God, am I living to the light of this word,
Hallelujah.’”
When Rev Yang Tuck Yoong spoke about Antinomianism
– that by virtue of grace, law has become obsolete,
which is the core teaching of Joseph Prince,
he ought to be aware that Antinomianism was a heresy
that was condemned
by Martin Luther and the Reformation Fathers.
And if so, why the turn of events,
from exposing Joseph Prince as an Antinomian, the heretic
to becoming his dear friend,
and someone who loves Jesus.
What is also a known fact is that Rev Yang Tuck Yoong
has been receiving money for his ministries
from Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church,
the latest, being the $10,000 for their church building fund.
Rev Yang Tuck Yoong
has, indeed, proven himself to be a double-faced hypocrite.
If not, why is he acting in that strange way?
One moment, Rev Yang Tuck Yoong
exposed the Hyper grace and Antinomianism of Joseph Prince,
publicly on pulpit in such a fierce way.
The next moment,
Rev Yang Tuck Yoong proclaimed to the world
that Joseph Prince is his dear friend
and vouched for him that he loves Jesus,
and that he has no qualms
about receiving donations from a heretic.
Proof No 2
In a sermon, Rev Yang Tuck Yoong said:

“And the few times that tolerance
is mentioned in the Bible,
it is often portrayed in the negative.
It is the counterfeit of true repentance.
And on the onset, let me just say
there is the right kind of tolerance
and there is also a wrong kind of tolerance.
And so let me start today
with the wrong kind of tolerance.
The wrong kind of tolerance is a work of the flesh
In Revelation 2 and verse 20,
Jesus was addressing the Church in Thyatira,
one of the 7 churches in Asia Minor,
and He said I have this against you that you tolerate,
you tolerate the woman,
Jezebel, who calls herself, a prophetess.
The Church in Thyatira had a false prophetess
ministering freely in the congregation without restraint.
The leadership knew something was off
about the woman,
but they didn’t do anything about it.
They tolerated her.
No one wanted to rock the boat.
No one wanted to confront her.
And the church was severely rebuked
for their tolerance of a false prophetess.
And listen to this,
the Lord said I will kill her children with death.
This is not a small matter my friends.
Nothing politically correct about this.
This is the Lord of the Church who is speaking.”
George Ong’s comments:
Rev Yang Tuck Yoong, since you preached so much
that God wasn’t pleased with the Church of Thyatira
for tolerating the false teacher, Jezebel,
why have you, as a Denominational Leader,
not taken any concrete and firm action
against Joseph Prince, the heretic
and even tolerated him for so long?
Don’t you know that as the Denominational Leader,
you have the obligation and responsibility
to call him out publicly
so that the sheep in Singapore
can be warned and protected from harm.
You have proven yourself to be a hypocrite,
as not only have you not rebuked Joseph Prince,
the heretic, publicly,
you aren’t even ashamed of receiving money
from the church of a heretic.

Let’s not compromise on the truth.
Let’s not allow any nonsense in the church.
And let’s not allow the cancel culture
to intimidate us either.
Now remember,
tolerance is a demonic counterfeit of repentance.
Jesus set a man free,
who was possessed by a legion of demons
because he refused to tolerate the demons
tormenting him any longer.
And believe me when I say there are churches
where everything is welcome,
everyone is welcome, except the Lordship of Jesus,
and everything is tolerated except the truth.
And when that happens,
It’s the job of faithful and courageous pastors
to stand up and warn the people.
My friends, if a Pastor would allow
for false teaching and the doctrine of demons
to be preached from the pulpit,
he is sending his people to hell.
He is.
And that’s why we got to guard the pulpit.
And that’s why whatever we speak from the pulpit
has to be the truth, the whole truth
and nothing but the truth, Amen.
So, it doesn’t matter how many times I get cancelled.
I’ll speak the truth.

that Rev Yang Tuck Yoong has not only committed
a great sin of not calling out Joseph Prince as a heretic,
so as to warn and protect the sheep,
but he has also colluded with Joseph Prince
by treating him as a dear friend,
and openly and unashamedly telling his congregation
that he has agreed to receive donations from a heretic.
If this is the sad and sorry state
of the National Leadership of the Singapore Church,
then the future of Singapore Christianity
may be doomed.

Peter Lai’s Open Letter to the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) and the Alliance of Pentecostal & Charismatic Churches of Singapore (APCCS):
I am writing this Open Letter to NCCS and APCCS
to act against Joseph Prince,
who has been proven to be a heretic,
as many of his doctrines go directly against the word of God.
I, myself, started watching Joseph Prince’s sermons on YouTube
about 7 years ago.
Initially, I liked listening to his sermons,
as they were entertaining and refreshing.
However, over time, I became bored
with his repeated messages on wealth and health.
Most importantly, I began to realise that many of his teachings
did not align with what the Bible said.
Let me begin by revealing that
Joseph Prince has the ungodly and frequent habit
of cherry-picking verses and tweaking and twisting them
to fit his Prosperity Gospel doctrine,
and that’s not what a true teacher of God’s word will ever do.
Just to illustrate my point,
Joseph Prince selected the verse from 2 Corinthians 8:9
to say that Jesus became poor for us
in order that we can become materially rich.
But this verse is often interpreted by most Bible scholars
to mean that Jesus,
despite being rich in his heavenly glory,
humbled himself by becoming human
and ultimately dying on the cross,
thus, becoming poor in earthly terms.
In exchange for this sacrifice,
believers are offered spiritual riches, including salvation,
forgiveness of sins, and a relationship with God.
So, it is not a promise of material wealth for believers
as Joseph Prince has made it out to be!
The “riches” are primarily spiritual in nature,
according to most Christian interpretations and Bible scholars.
What is indicting is that John Stott,
a prominent and very well-respected Bible teacher,
has said that believers must have the courage
to reject the Prosperity Gospel,
or the Health and Wealth Gospel
as a false gospel.
This means the Prosperity Gospel of Joseph Prince
is a false gospel
that can never lead people to heaven but hell.
Next, Joseph Prince instructed Christians
to partake the Holy Communion daily for healing purposes.
What bothers me is that communion is meant not for healing,
but to be a special ceremony
to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
While the Bible does speak of healing through faith,
it doesn’t equate this with the act of communion itself
as a daily medicine for physical illnesses.
1 Corinthians 11:28-30 warns that
carelessly partaking in communion
could lead to sickness, weakness, and even physical death.
How many in Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church
have led to their deaths
because they trivialise the Holy Communion
by treating it as magic pills to heal them
is up to anybody’s guess.
Third, Joseph Prince has always taught that:
“We are destined to reign in life. We are called by the Lord to be a success, to enjoy health and wealth and a life of victory.”
Joseph Prince even told his congregation
that Christians will live to 120 years according to Psalm 91:16,
which says, “With long life I will satisfy him”.
He teaches that believers can tell God
how long they want to live, as long as they are satisfied,
and God will have to grant it to them.
In so doing, believers are treating God as their servant
to carry out their wishes,
and they are becoming God,
who can decide how long they want to live.
Only a false teacher, such as Joseph Prince
will ever elevate themselves as God
and God to be our servant.
If every believer were to be a success in life,
to enjoy health and wealth and live a life of victory,
and if living a long life were a promise for every believer,
then Jesus and all of his disciples, except John,
were terrible failures,
since they had their lives shortened
as they were killed or martyred for their faith.
They were definitely not successful, wealthy, healthy,
or victorious in the way Joseph Prince means.
Fourth, Joseph Prince teaches that New Covenant believers
do not have to obey the law,
as the law has been done away with.
This goes head-on against the Lord Jesus
who said in Matthew 5:17
that He did not come to abolish the law.
And because of His sacrifice on the cross,
Jesus made it possible for believers to obey the laws
under the power of grace and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit,
as the law is now written in our hearts.
The Apostle Paul also made it very clear
that the law has not been done away with.
In Romans 3:31, Paul states:
“Do we then make void (or throw away) the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish (or uphold) the law.”
Joseph Prince, by his argument that since grace has dawned,
the law is now done away with,
is committing the heresy of Antinomianism,
a heresy that our Reformation Church Fathers,
especially Martin Luther, fought against.
But what is most serious is that Joseph Prince
by doing away with the moral law
is actually doing away with God’s character
as many of His laws can be proven
to reflect and reveal His character.
So, doing away with God’s laws
is tantamount to doing away with God’s character.
And if Joseph Prince has done away with God’s character,
he is effectively doing away with God Himself.
Only a wolf, who is satanically driven,
and of the Antichrist spirit,
will dare to do away with the Almighty God.
Fifth, Joseph Prince teaches the false doctrine
that not just our past but every of our future sins is forgiven,
and he also teaches against discipleship or making disciples
in the Great Commission.
He contended that believers are no longer disciples
but Christians pointing to Acts 11:26.
True discipleship involves complete surrender, lifelong learning,
and the aim of making other disciples.
Joseph Prince’s every future sin is forgiven
directly contradicts the Lord Jesus,
who warned 5 of the 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3
to repent of their sins.
Jesus, by warning these 5 churches to repent of their sins,
simply means that not every of their sins has been forgiven.
Joseph Prince’s teaching against discipleship
is also a direct attack against the Lord Jesus Himself,
as discipleship is the heartbeat and core teaching of Jesus
in the gospels.
And anyone, such as Joseph Prince,
who dares to go against the teachings of the Lord Jesus,
who is God Himself,
is confirmed to be a heretic.
There are many more heretical doctrines of Joseph Prince
that I am aware that I cannot discuss in my letter
to NCCS and APCCS because of time and space.
But these 5 issues, particularly the last two
that I have highlighted
are enough to prove that Joseph Prince is a heretic.
My question to NCCS and APCCS is,
are you not aware of the heretical teachings of Joseph Prince
that he has been preaching for all these 30 years?
If so, why have you not done anything about it?
Why have you not called out Joseph Prince as a false teacher?
Calling out false teachers is not being divisive.
In fact, it is an act of love for the sheep to guard them
from being deceived and destroyed by false teachings.
If NCCS and APCCS really love the flock and the truth,
then they must care enough to speak up and warn the sheep
when the truth is being twisted.
Allowing error to flourish unchecked
is not just being irresponsible;
it is betrayal.
Therefore, the church leadership
must not remain silent anymore,
and to do so is to betray the trust we put on them
to protect the Gospel and the sheep.
This is especially so as false teachings
are compared to gangrene
because they spread quickly and are destructive.
Ignoring them will only allow them to grow
and destroy the faith of more and more believers
and lead to their spiritual death.
As leaders of the Singapore Church,
you have been given the custodial responsibility
to protect the true gospel from corruption and perversion.
Joseph Prince’s teachings have indeed corrupted the gospel
by his rejection of the laws of God.
Any ministry devoted to the concept
of rejecting the laws of God in the name of God,
is, in fact, promoting lawlessness
and rebellion to God’s authority.
Hence, the pseudo-grace teachings of Joseph Prince
is not a minor issue that one can overlook, but a major issue
because it is a salvation issue that could impact our eternity.
Jude tells us to contend for the faith
that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.
Therefore, there is no place for the leadership to keep silent.
Church leaders who remain silent
on being informed of a false teacher like Joseph Prince,
are likened to a captain
who fails to sound the alarm for known danger
is a negligent leader,
failing their responsibility to protect the crew and vessel,
a grave dereliction of duty
that could be described as reckless endangerment.
In addition, NCCS and APCCS who remain silent
effectively betrays the trust placed in them
to protect the sheep from harmful doctrines and practices.
The Bible teaches that God will judge false teachers
and prophets,
but it also warns spiritual leaders about their responsibility
to stand against false teachings
and protect the flock from spiritual ruin.
While God would hold false teachers accountable,
churches and leaders who remain silent
in the face of false doctrine
risk spiritual corruption, leading people away from the truth
and to their destruction,
and potentially incurring God’s displeasure,
as they are failing to fulfill their pastoral duty
as responsible watchmen
to guard the sheep
against the spiritual poison of Joseph Prince.”
