“I attended the Rapture & Great Tribulation Seminar

and was touched by your passion, conviction

and commitment to the latest mission

the Lord has given you

regarding the preaching of the Post-tribulation doctrine.

The danger of falling away from the faith is indeed great

for those who believe in the Pre-trib doctrine,

who may find themselves caught

in the midst of the Great Tribulation.

Your study of the various Bible passages

relating to Rapture and the Great Tribulation

was thorough, consistent and biblically sound.

Your teaching is a robust study of God’s word

regarding the relationship of the Church

and the Great Tribulation

– the best I have heard so far.

While I understand the fear you have

as you embark on this calling

of teaching against the Pre-trib doctrine

about believers being raptured before tribulation,

I believe your obedience to the Lord

will put you in good stead

should the Great Tribulation come in your lifetime.

At any rate, let me state that I am on your side

Important Announcement No 2:

What is featured in Part 3 is only one topic

that I am contending against Pre-trib teachers,

such as Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur.

In the seminar in July,

about 25 more topics will be covered,

and more videos about their teachings by

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

will be featured in the seminar.

Important Announcement No 3:

I have watched the teaching videos of

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

on their Pre-trib views.

At least 2 of them can be downright frank,

and their comments are even laced

with some measure of sarcasm

in their contention against the opposing Post-trib view.

In the same manner, the 3 of them can expect

an equally robust approach from me

to their Pre-trib views.

But let’s take it in our stride.

We can be passionate in our views,

and express them strongly,

but at the end of the day, we are brothers in Christ

– and not the same as Joseph Prince,

who is a deceitful and unrepentant wolf in sheepskin,

leading people to their destruction.

“So, in a very interesting manner,

from chapter 4 to chapter 20 (Revelation),

the church is no longer mentioned.

In other words, up until chapter 3,

we hear about the church on earth.

We hear what God has to say to those churches.

But from chapter 4, verse 1, on to almost chapter 20,

the church is not on earth.

The church is not even being mentioned or described

in the events that are going to happen upon this earth.

That’s super important that you understand that.

Because this is one of the main reasons

why I, and many others,

believe that the rapture of the church

will be before the Tribulation.”

In a teaching session, David Jeremiah said:

“Now, here’s the interesting thing.

The things which he saw, chapter 1,

the things which are chapters 2 and 3,

and then chapter 4 through chapter 18 (Revelation)

describes everything that happens in the tribulation.

Here’s the amazing truth that I don’t want you to forget.

In the book of Revelation,

the word church is found

in the first three chapters 19 times.

When you get to chapter 4 and you go from 4 to 18,

it’s not found one single time.

You know why?

Because the church isn’t there.”

In a teaching session, John MacArthur said:

Please click here to view the video:

“In the book of Revelation,

the church appears in chapter 1 on earth,

the church appears in chapter 2 on earth,

seven churches are described in chapter 2 and chapter 3,

local churches in Asia Minor.

The church is there.

Starting in chapter 4, the church never appears again,

the word never appears again in the book of Revelation

right through to the return of Christ in chapter 19

and the Kingdom in chapter 20.

You will never read about the church.

It doesn’t say anything about the church.

It doesn’t describe the function of the church.

It doesn’t speak to what the church does

or doesn’t do, should or shouldn’t do.

Why?

Everything else in the New Testament

is directed at the church.

Every epistle, all the instruction of the New Testament

is directed at the church.

Why does all instruction in the book of Revelation

to the church end at chapter 3,

and you go to heaven in chapter 4,

and the war machine of God is beginning to move

like it did in Ezekiel chapter 1,

and all the rest that flows out of that

is void of the church?

It talks about the Jews.

It talks about the Gentiles.

It talks about Jewish evangelists, 144,000,

12,000 out of every tribe, Jewish missionaries,

two witnesses.

It talks about all of that,

but never, ever mentions the church

until you see the church in heaven at the end.

Very important.

The church is mentioned

19 times in the first three chapters,

and never again up until 19 when Christ returns.”

The unbelievable naivety of the argument of

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

lies in this simple Illustration:

Although my name is George Ong,

I am also known as Ong Hwee Gock (Chinese name).

Let’s say I used these 2 names interchangeably

in a book that I wrote,

stating it clearly at the outset that these are my 2 names,

and perhaps, using “George Ong”,

in the beginning and the last few chapters of the book

less often than “Ong Hwee Gock”

in the bulk of the middle sections of the book.

If a reader, upon finishing reading the book,

started saying when he came across my Chinese name,

“Ong Hwee Gock”, that’s not me

because it’s not “George Ong”,

what would you say?

Ridiculous, right?

Whether it is “George Ong” or “Ong Hwee Gock”

or even “Ah Gock”,

as my deceased mum used to call me,

they are all referring to the same person,

to Me or George Ong,

and they have equal claims in identifying me as a person.

But that’s what

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

are incredibly arguing over

– that just because the word “Church” is not found

from Revelation chapters 4-18, the period of the Tribulation,

it means that the Church is not there – why?

Because she is raptured.

This is despite the fact that words such as

“saints”, “elect”, “brothers”, etc,

are used in Revelation 4-18,

and all these words represent the Church

and denote the presence of the Church in Revelation 4-18,

the period of the Tribulation.

Yet, Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

simply would not accept that.

Again, they are behaving in the same manner

as the reader I quoted earlier,

and nonsensically saying

that just because my name, “George Ong”

isn’t found in the middle sections of my book,

even though my Chinese Name, “Ong Hwee Gock” is used there,

I am not found in these chapters

as I’ve gone missing.

Before I start to critique the views of these 3 men,

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

about their Pre-trib rapture view,

let me start by saying that, as far as I know,

these 3 men are great teachers of the Word,

and I agree with most of their teachings

on many other issues.

I even respect one of them: John MacArthur.

Many of you may already know

that I quoted MacArthur’s views on many issues

in support against the heresies of Joseph Prince

on this website.

But nonetheless, I strongly disagree with all three of them

on their Pre-trib rapture view.

The point is not that we should be “afraid” of these 3 giants

as they have a massive and loyal following,

that run into the millions,

and I am nowhere near them.

The point is, we must follow

the excellent example of the Bereans:

Acts 17:11 NIV

11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

If the Bereans have the holy audacity

to even check on the teachings of the great Apostle Paul,

none of us, not even

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah, John MacArthur and myself,

can be excluded.

Of course, I am aware that this issue

of whether we are raptured before or after tribulation

is not a core doctrine that we should divide over.

Yet, many are not aware of the severe implications

of holding to a Pre-trib rapture doctrine.

If one day, church members of these Pre-trib Pastors,

who are so convinced that

they would be raptured to heaven before tribulation,

were to wake up and find themselves in the Great tribulation,

and in their shock and unpreparedness to face the crisis,

they deny Christ,

the blood of these people

will be on the hands of these Pre-trib Pastors.

I wonder, would this, perhaps, be the reason

for that “great apostasy” or “great falling away”

of Pre-tribbers whose dreams

of being raptured before tribulation were shattered,

which 2 Thessalonians 2:3 records?

Though whether the Church is raptured

before or after the tribulation,

is not a core doctrinal issue,

nonetheless, it is a crucial subject,

because misunderstanding this

can lead a person to be eternally lost.

This is because when Jesus came the first time as a lamb,

the Jews couldn’t accept it

as they expected him to come as a lion

to deliver them from the clutches of the Roman empire

and set up the Kingdom of God on earth.

But in His second coming, Jesus is going to come as a lion

to vanquish His enemies and reign in the Millennial Kingdom,

but the Pre-trib Church says

He’s going to first come quietly as a lamb

in a silent and secret rapture

to usher them to heaven for a 7-year holiday,

so they can escape the tribulation.

And as I have said, when these people,

who have been taught by their Pastors

they will escape tribulation,

were to come face to face

with the Antichrist and his henchmen,

they may lose faith to endure the tribulation

and take the mark of the beast,

and be lost forever and ever.

Am I using fear to scare people

as Joseph Prince would always accuse us of?

The truth is, if you are honest,

and if you put aside your biases

for the Pre-trib rapture doctrine,

I am sure you will agree that what I have painted

could conceivably and actually happen.

Pre-trib Pastors may be strong and quick enough spiritually

to get over their initial shock

after having found themselves in the Great Tribulation,

not to deny Christ,

but can they honestly say the same about their sheep

– many may be spiritually immature and weak believers

– these are the ones who may deny Christ

and be eternally damned.

Let’s dive into the crux of the issue…

According to Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

representing the Pre-trib doctrine,

they argued that the absence of any mention

of the word “Church” from Revelation chapters 4-18,

indicates that she is not on the earth

during the Great Tribulation;

hence, the Church is raptured before the tribulation.

If the absence of the word “Church”

means that the Scripture is not referring to the Church,

then there are many epistles which do not have the word

“Church” in them.

So does that mean that they are not written for Christians?

For example, the word “Church” is absent

from 2 Timothy, Titus, Hebrews, 1 & 2 Peter, 1 & 2 John,

and Jude?

Is the Church absent, then, too, in these epistles?

But these books are clearly written

both to and about the Church.

Titus and 2 John don’t even mention

Christians, brother(s), brethren, or saint(s),

although they both mention the word “elect”.

Five of these:

2 Timothy, Titus, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 2 John,

just use the term “elect”.

Does that mean those books don’t pertain to us

just because the word “Church” is not used there?

The Book of Jude does not mention the Church by name,

but uses the word “saints” to refer to the Church

in Jude 1: 3, 14 (KJ),

just as the Apostle John does throughout

almost the whole Book of Revelation

when he uses the word “saints”

to refer to the presence of the Church or believers

in Revelation 5:8, 8:3-4, 11:18, 13:7, 13:10,

14:12, 15:3, 16:6, 17:6, 18:24, and 19:8.

Even more strikingly, the word “Church”

is also missing from those key passages

often referred to by Pre-tribulationists,

as supporting the Pre-trib rapture doctrine

in John 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 1 Thessalonians 4-5.

So does that mean that their Pre-trib rapture

doesn’t include the Church

because the word “Church” isn’t there?

Can you now see that Pre-trib teachers, such as

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

are actually hanging themselves by their argument.

An argument cannot be based purely on silence

because the Church isn’t mentioned being in heaven either

as John’s visions occurred both on earth and heaven.

So where is the Pre-trib Church

that has been raptured to heaven?

This is especially critical to Pre-trib doctrine

when it claims the Church has been raptured to heaven

during the Tribulation,

but she is nowhere to be found too in heaven

in Revelation chapters 4-18.

If the Church is raptured to heaven

during the period of the tribulation,

why isn’t she described as “the Church” there?

The argument from silence consistently applied

would not prove the Pre-trib rapture of the saints

but the annihilation of the saints,

for not only is the word “Church”

not used of the saints on earth in chapters 4 through 18,

it is also never used of the saints in heaven.

This argument from silence, if consistently applied,

leads to an incredibly absurd conclusion

and puts the Pre-trib proponents

in an embarrassing situation.

The weakness of the argument from silence

is also seen in the example of the Book of Esther.

Many may not know that God isn’t mentioned in Esther.

And because God is not mentioned in Esther,

does anyone have the audacity to say that God is not there?

If we go through Revelation chapter 20,

Jesus has returned

and He has been reigning on earth for a thousand years,

and the Church is still not being mentioned.

Revelation 20:7-9 (KJ)

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Going by the Pre-trib argument

that since the Church is not mentioned in Revelation

it means the Church is not there;

and since the Church is absent in Revelation 20:7-9,

the Pre-trib leading proponents,

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

would have to argue

that we are not reigning with Christ

during the 1,000 years?

Imagine the embarrassment

these 3 giants have brought upon themselves!

The word “Church” does not even occur

in the Book of Revelation until Revelation 22:16.

Does this mean the Church is not involved

in the second coming of Christ in Revelation 19,

the resurrection of the saints in Revelation 20,

and the white throne judgment also in Revelation 20?

Obviously not!

The word “Trinity” does not appear in the Bible.

Yet, the doctrine of Trinity

is one of the most foundational doctrines in Christianity.

Just because you cannot find the word “Trinity” in the Bible

does not mean the reality of the Trinity

is not present throughout the Book.

Similarly, the word “Jesus” does not occur

between Revelation 1:9 and 12:17.

Does this mean that Jesus is not the subject of Revelation,

since his name does not appear for nearly 12 chapters

or over half of the Book?

The answer is a resounding “no”.

Although the name Jesus is not used

between Revelation 1:9 and 12:17,

references like “the Lion of Judah,”

“the root of David,” and “the Lamb” are used

and they refer to the person of Jesus.

The same is true of the “Church”,

and the major part of the Book of Revelation

that describes the Tribulation days.

You can read through

Revelation chapters four through eighteen,

and not find the word “Church”,

but the Church is there just the same.

The Church is simply made up of all believers of all times

who have accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord.

Any person who has been called and saved by God

through their believing in Jesus

is a member of the Church.

The following verses in Revelation 6-18 unmistakably show

the presence of Christians and the Church.

Though the word ‘Church’ is not found

from Revelation chapters 6-18,

the Church (the gathering of believers)

is proven to be present in many instances

in these 13 chapters of Revelation:

Revelation 6:9-11

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.

Revelation 7:9-10

9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”

Revelation 7:14

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 8:3-5

3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

Revelation 11:18

The nations were angry,
    and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
    both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

Revelation 12:11

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much

as to shrink from death.

Revelation 12:17

Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring – those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

Revelation 13:7

He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

Revelation 13:10

If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.

Revelation 14:12

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

Revelation 14:13

Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

Revelation 15:2-3

And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.

Revelation 16:6

for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”

Revelation 17:6

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus

Revelation 18:4

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

Revelation 18:24

In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints, and of all who have been killed on the earth.”

The Pre-trib doctrine, with no biblical basis,

does not consider those believers

who are saved in the Tribulation to be part of the Church.

Only those who are saved from Pentecost

right up to the Pre-trib rapture

are considered to be part of the Church.

It is evident that large numbers of Christians are present

in the Book of Revelation during the Tribulation

and all through the ages,

and where Christians are present,

the Church is present.

It breaks our hearts to know

the great multitude in Revelation 7:9-17

who were killed because they stayed faithful to Jesus

and sealed their testimony with their blood

and did not worship the Antichrist

are not seen by the Pre-trib doctrine

as members of the Church.

If such large numbers of believers in Jesus

who live in Tribulation days are not part of the Church,

what are they?

The great irony of it all is that in Pre-trib theology,

while those who are raptured for a 7-year holiday in heaven

and don’t have to go through suffering in the Tribulation

are considered part of the Church,

those who go through much suffering

and are fearless about being martyred for the sake of Christ

are not part of the Church.

How can those who stay faithful to Jesus

and die gloriously as martyrs

not be part of the Church?

John saw the Tribulation saints.

They must belong to the Church

because they had washed their clothes

in the blood of the Lamb.

Yet, our Pre-trib teachers still insist

that the Tribulation saints

are not a part of the Church!

They stubbornly guard their Pre-trib dogma

and are even prepared to contravene

the basic doctrines of biblical theology.

When a person is saved,

he is automatically part of the body of Christ

and part of the Church.

A person is either in Christ and part of the Church

or he is not at all!

Being in Christ and being part of the Church

is integrally linked and is inseparable.

Any person who is not part of the Church and Body of Christ

is an unsaved unbeliever.

So, the Pre-trib notion of a group of “Tribulation saints”

who are saved and redeemed during the tribulation,

but yet are not part of the body of Christ (the Church),

is a stark contradiction in terms,

which rests on very shabby theology

that undermines the biblical doctrine of salvation.

Do you know what the real issue is?

The crux of the matter is that

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

and the Pre-tribbers

are ‘forced’ by their Pre-trib theology to be unbiblical.

If they acknowledge that

these Tribulation saints are part of the Church,

their justification for the Church

to be raptured before tribulation,

would be blown to pieces.

Hence, to protect their Pre-trib doctrine,

they are even prepared

to contravene the Biblical theology of salvation

by posturing that a believer can be in Christ (Tribulation saints),

and yet, he isn’t part of the body of Christ

– the Church.

Failing which, they would have to explain

why a part of the Church

has to be raptured before tribulation,

while another part of the Church

– the Tribulation saints

aren’t raptured

and would have to go through tribulation.

These dear Tribulation saints had given their lives for Jesus!

Why wouldn’t they be the Church!

The Tribulation saints that John saw

had died for their faith in Jesus.

That sounded like a pretty good recommendation

for Church membership!

If you were the pastor of a church,

would you want them as your church members?

Of course, and without any hesitation!

Yet, the Pre-trib camp says

they are not considered to be part of the Church.

Next, though the word Church is not used,

the word “elect” and the word “saint”

are used in Revelation chapters 4-18

and they are normal New Testament words

for Christians and for the Church.

Again and again in the New Testament,

born again believers are called the elect of God

and the saints of God.

Every epistle is addressed to the saints in Rome,

the saints in Ephesus.

“Saints” is a word often (well over 40 times)

used of people in the Church in the Scripture

written after the time of Jesus (Acts 9:13, 9:32, 9:41, 26:10, etc).

In the same way, the Apostle John

does the same thing

by using the word ‘saints’

throughout almost the Book of Revelation

after chapter 3

(Rev 5:8, 8:3-4, 11:18, 13:7, 13:10, 14:12, 16:6, 17:6, 18:24),

proving that the Church is still there.

In the Old Testament, believers are called “saints”

and in the New Testament they are called “saints”.

There is no difference;

they are all classified as “saints” of God and of Christ;

all redeemed by the same blood;

all born again by the same mighty Spirit of God.

According to Pre-trib teaching, the “saints” or “elect”

seen in the Tribulation in Revelation chapters 4-18

are not the Church

but either the Jewish remnant or gentiles

converted in the Tribulation

after the Pre-trib church is raptured.

This is theological garbage!

You mean the saints who prevail in prayer (Rev 5:8; 8:3-4);

the saints who suffer and are overcome;

the saints who have patience, wisdom, and faith,

preferring death to dishonour (Rev 13:10; 14:12);

are not the Church?

You mean the saints who have sealed their testimony

with their blood, (Rev 16:6; 17:6; 18:24);

the saints and Apostles

who rejoice over the downfall of Babylon,

where their blood had been shed (Rev 18:20);

the saints who receive their reward

at the Last Trumpet (Rev 11:18);

are not the Church?

You mean the saints and martyrs of the End-time

(Rev 6:9-11, 7:9)

and saints who are beheaded

and are raised at the First Resurrection (Rev 20:4-6),

becoming “priests and kings” unto God,

are not the Church?

The Pre-trib has no right to insist on this argument,

as they have not shown with a single verse

that the Church has been raptured before the Tribulation.

And if the Church is not raptured,

the “saints” and “elect”

have to be taken to be the Church

that has not yet been raptured.

Furthermore, in other parts of the New Testament,

believers within the Church are known

as servants (Acts 4:29, 1 Pet 2:16);

prophets (1 Cor 14:29, Eph 4:11);

those who die in the Lord (2 Cor 5:8);

brothers (Acts 28:14-15);

and the Lord’s people (2 Cor 6:16).

In the Book of Revelation,

we also find the same descriptions of believers

as servants (Rev 6:11, Rev 7:3, Rev 19:2,5);

prophets (Rev 11:18, Rev 16:6);

and those who die in the Lord (Rev 14:13);

brothers (Rev 6:11, Rev 12:10-11),

and the Lord’s people (Rev 18:4).

The same references used to describe Church believers

in other books of the New Testament

are also found throughout the Book of Revelation,

especially between Revelation 4-18

during the time of the Great Tribulation.

Hence, this proves that the Church is visibly active

from Revelation 4-18 and that they have not been raptured

before the Great Tribulation.

While Pre-trib teachers accept

that these references indicate the presence of the Church

when they appear in other books of the New Testament,

as servants (Acts 4:29, 1 Pet 2:16);

prophets (1 Cor 14:29, Eph 4:11);

those who die in the Lord (2 Cor 5:8);

brothers (Acts 28:14-15);

and the Lord’s people (2 Cor 6:16).

But when the same references appear in Revelation,

as servants (Rev 6:11, Rev 7:3, Rev 19:2,5);

prophets (Rev 11:18, Rev 16:6);

and those who die in the Lord (Rev 14:13);

brothers (Rev 6:11, Rev 12:10-11),

and the Lord’s people (Rev 18:4),

they just plainly refuse to accept

the presence of the Church in Revelation.

It is crystal clear that Pre-trib teachers

would rather be defiantly inconsistent

in order to protect their Pre-trib doctrine

at all costs!

Next, the Pre-trib teachers

such as Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

advocate that since the Church is raptured,

which they have not proven a single iota

but have just kept on stubbornly asserting,

God’s dealing in the Tribulation period

is with the Jewish nation.

But why will God begin in Revelation,

emphasising in all three introductory chapters (Rev chs 1-3),

challenging the seven Asian churches to be overcomers

(he who overcomes) in the tribulation,

only to change the focus of subsequent chapters

in Revelation chapters 4-18

to the Jews?

The claim that the focus has shifted to the Jews is untenable

as “Israel” is only used twice (Rev 7:4, 21:12).

“Jews” is used twice (Rev 2:9, 3:9)

and they are both found in the introductory chapters.

They were pictured as being punished

rather than being embraced by God.

In both cases, God calls them “Synagogue of Satan”.

Next, Revelation records that the Beast will make war

with the saints and overcome them:

Revelation 13:7 (NIV 1984)

He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer (or overcome, KJ, NASB) them….

Who are the saints that the Beast will make war with?

Are they Jews?

Which Jews?

144,000 Jews (which possibly represent the one-third Jews

who will finally be saved at the end of the age)

will be spared when they flee to a safe place.

Logic alone says that THESE are NOT the saints at war

with the Beast.

The 144,000 can’t possibly be the ones

that the Beast conquers and overcome

because the Scriptures plainly tell us that

they are sealed by God and PROTECTED!

Those 144,000 Jews who are sealed will be protected by God

and taken away to a safe place (according to Rev 12:14).

Are the “saints” who are “overcome” by the Beast in Rev 13:7

the six million secular Jews in the nation of Israel?

Definitely not!

With all due respect, the majority of them are not saints!

They are sinners!

They have rejected Jesus Christ as Messiah,

and are unbelieving apostates!

Therefore the SAINTS whom the Beast makes war with

can only be Christians in the Church of Jesus Christ,

comprising both Gentile and Jewish believers (Messianic Jews).

Who else could it be?

The Church WILL live to see the Man of Sin,

the Mark of the Beast, and the Tribulation.

They will have to reject the mark.

Many will be murdered.

Rev 13:15

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

Some will die, some will survive.

Furthermore, from the three verses

of Revelation 12:11, 12:17 and 14:12,

it is not possible for these saints

to refer to secular Jews.

First, the saints triumphed over the beast

“by the blood of the lamb” (Rev 12:11):

Revelation 12:11

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Second, “they hold fast to the testimony of Jesus” (Rev 12:17):

Revelation 12:17

Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

Third, “they remain faithful to Jesus” (Rev 14:12):

Revelation 14:12

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

The saints in the preceding three verses

are definitely not referring to unbelieving Jews

who rejected Jesus till today,

as they as a nation (one-third of them),

will only accept Jesus as their Messiah

at the end of the age.

Lastly, Revelation’s last usage of the term churches

in Revelation 22:16

clearly indicates that national Israel or bloodline Jews

is not the focus

but the Church,

comprising Jewish and Gentile believers is the focus.

The truth is, all of Revelation (especially Rev 4-18)

was directed to the churches

because at the very end of the Book Revelation,

Jesus states….

Revelation 22:16 NASB

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you of

these things for the churches. I am the root and

the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

Revelation 22:16 TLB

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to tell the churches all these things. I am both David’s Root and his Descendant. I am the bright Morning Star.”

Revelation 22:16 NIV

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

Jesus categorically states that he has sent his angel

“to give you (plural) this testimony for the churches.”

It is difficult to see

how the 13 chapters (Revelation chapters 6 to 18)

about suffering and tribulation

could be a “testimony for the churches”

if they totally not involved in it.

Hence, all the events written in this book

are not just for the seven historical churches

but for every church in every generation

to prepare them to face the forces of darkness

in the great tribulation

and be overcomers, and if necessary,

be martyrs for the sake of Christ.

If Christ took the trouble to emphasise many times

that Revelation was written

for the sake of the churches,

how dare Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur

say that the Church is totally uninvolved

in more than half the book in Revelation chapters 6-18,

as they would be raptured before tribulation.

The whole Book of Revelation was written

for the sake of the churches,

and yet, Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

teach that the Church is not in the Book of Revelation.

This is a very serious error!

Why would Jesus say that the message of Revelation

is for the churches

if the Church wasn’t going to be there anyway?

If the “churches” are completely taken out

before the Tribulation,

then why does Jesus say this: Revelation 22:16 –

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things FOR the CHURCHES….” (NASB)

What are “these things”?

“These things” talked about in the Book of Revelation

are primarily about the Tribulation

in Revelation chapters 6-18,

and they are given for the churches.

So, one can confidently conclude

that not only is the Church (saints) found

throughout the Book of Revelation,

the Book was written for the sole benefit of the churches

to inform, warn and prepare them for the Tribulation

and to emerge victorious from it.

Hence, the Pre-trib rapture doctrine as propounded by

Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & John MacArthur,

regarding the absence of the hurch in Revelation chapters 4-18

to prove the Pre-trib rapture,

is decisively debunked!

Part 4: Joseph Prince, a tool of the devil to stop you from obeying Christ, will send you to hell – By George Ong

In the sermon on 31 May 2026, 2 days ago,

Joseph Prince said:

“And the Bible says that in 2 Corinthians chapter 10,

it says, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,

not material, not tangible, but mighty in God

to the pulling down of strongholds.

Which means the stronghold is in our mind.

For pulling down strongholds, the weapons,

and cutting down arguments and every high thing

that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,

bringing every thought into captivity

to the obedience of Christ.

And now some version put down there,

bring every thought to obey Christ.

Why this is important is because you need to establish,

is it the obedience of Christ,

or you need to bring those thoughts to obey Christ?

Now, some versions of the Bible,

they interpret that as your thoughts must obey Christ.”

Joseph Prince said:

“Now, some versions of the Bible,

they interpret that as your thoughts must obey Christ.”

Joseph Prince is lying through his teeth.

The truth, it is not some versions as he said,

but many versions

– at least 32 in total

– that translate as “our thoughts to obey Christ.”

CSB, CEB, CJB, CEV, GW,

ERV, EHV, ESV, ESVUK, EXB,

GW, GNT, HCSB, ICB, ISV,

MOUNCE, NOG, NABRE, NCV, NET,

NLT, NIRV, NIV, NLV, NRSV,

NRSVA, NRSVACS, NTE, TPT, RSV,

RSVCE, WE.

In the sermon on 31 May 2026,

Joseph Prince also went a fair bit

into his so-called knowledge of Greek

to try to deceive his congregation

that what 2 Corinthians 10:5 meant was not to obey Christ,

but it refers to the obedience of Christ or Christ’s obedience.

Let me prove to you that this guy, Joseph Prince,

is bluffing his way around.

I wonder which Greek College he graduated from?

This is because there are 6 Bible scholars,

who have a fair knowledge of Greek,

and who said that 2 Corinthians 10:5 refers to obeying Christ:

In ‘Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament,

2 Corinthians’,

George H. Guthrie wrote (2 Cor 10:5):

“Corinthians will be led off course by the false apostles.

Clearly Paul sees the mind as a spiritual battleground.

Consequently, with the true gospel,

Paul binds up all (πᾶν, every) wrong thinking,

bringing it into submission to Christ.

The genitive τοῦ Χριστοῦ (tou Christou) may be read

as an objective genitive:

these schemes are made to obey the Lord Christ.”

In ‘Tyndale Cornerstone Biblical Commentary, 2 Corinthians’,

Ralph P. Martin wrote (2 Cor 10:5):

“We capture their rebellious thoughts

and teach them to obey Christ.”

In ‘Teach the Text Commentary Series, 2 Corinthians’,

Moyer V. Hubbard wrote (2 Cor 10:5):

“We destroy every raised battlement

that resists the knowledge of God

and take prisoner every scheming plan

to bring it into submission to Christ.”

In ‘Paul for Everyone’ Commentary, 2 Corinthians’,

Tom Wright wrote (2 Cor 10:3-5):

“In verses 3, 4 and 5 Paul describes his strategy

in the battle for the mind.

At its heart is the principle he states in verse 5:

we take every thought prisoner,

and make it obey the Messiah.”

In ‘The Passion Translation Commentary,’ 1 & 2 Corinthians’,

Brian Simmons wrote (2 Cor 10:5):

“We take captive every thought to insist that it

become obedient to the mind of Christ.”

In ‘Believers Church Bible Commentary, 2 Corinthians’,

V. G. Shillington wrote:

“His aim in doing so, however, is to open the way

to the knowledge of God

and to make every thought conform

to the mind of Christ (10:5).”

In a sermon, Joseph Prince said:

Please click here to view the video:

“The essence of our warfare here?

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal;

they’re not tangible.

They are not material.

But they are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

And these strongholds is not up there in the sky

in the heavenly somewhere.

Alright, these strongholds is in our minds.

Casting down arguments and every high thing

that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,

bringing every thought into captivity

to the obedience of Christ.

In other words, what is the ‘obedience of Christ’?

– By one man’s obedience, all of us were made righteous.

The devil wants you to take your mind off

that one man’s obedience

and put your mind back on your obedience

or the lack of it.

That’s warfare,

and you are to demolish all these arguments,

demolish every stronghold, many of them are religious,

and say no, no, it’s not my obedience,

bring your thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.

It is His obedience.”

In a teaching session, George Ong said:

Please click here to view the video:

In conclusion,

while Christ’s obedience is crucially important (justification),

His obedience is never to substitute or replace our obedience (sanctification).

Joseph Prince only teaches one half of the truth

about Christ’s obedience (justification).

Not only does he not teach the other half of the truth

about our obedience to Christ (sanctification),

but he also strongly implies (in the video) that it is satanic,

and it must be demolished.

On the contrary, our obedience and disobedience

are so important to God from the start of humanity

– because of Adam’s disobedience,

Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins.

The Old Covenant people were chased out of the Promised Land

because of disobedience.

Don’t you ever be deceived by Joseph Prince

that it is only Christ’s obedience (justification)

and not our obedience (sanctification)

that is the issue for our salvation

for New Covenant people.

Hebrews 5:9 is a New Covenant passage

that clearly states that eternal salvation

is for New Covenant people,

who obey Christ:

Hebrews 5:9 NIV

9 “and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.”

The sombre truth is that

our obedience or disobedience to Christ really matters

and could even determine our eternal destiny.

And when Moses prophesied

about the one coming after him in Acts 3:22-23,

who was he referring to?

He was referring to Jesus:

Acts 3:22-23 NET

22 Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you. 23 Every person who does not obey that prophet (Jesus) will be destroyed and thus removed from the people.’

The truth is disobedience to God

will result in your spiritual death

and will lead you to hell.

Our obedience (sanctification) or disobedience (lack of it)

will determine whether one goes to heaven or hell.

And the sobering fact is that he who does not obey Christ

will be eternally destroyed (Acts 3:22-23).

This simply means that Joseph Prince,

who denigrates our obedience to Christ,

is putting millions and millions of his followers

in real danger of being destroyed by Christ

on the day of judgement.

That is why I have repeatedly warned

that if you were to follow the teachings of Joseph Prince,

and start to neglect your obedience to Christ (sanctification)

hell is the place where you could find yourself in.

And just remember,

a shepherd, will never lead you

to walk on the road of devastation

and eternal destruction,

but only a wolf in sheepskin in Joseph Prince would.
