is 20,635,
which is vastly different from what
Joseph Prince reported in his book in Oct 2024
– more than 33,000.

There is every possibility that the actual weekly attendance
for 2024 at New Creation Church
is likely to be lower than the reported figure of 20,635,
as there is every tendency
for the dishonest and crafty Joseph Prince
to stretch the reported figure to the max.
Imagine, Joseph Prince, a so-called Pastor,
and New Creation Church
dared to lie so openly,
and yet, the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS),
would refuse to do anything
with Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church
who is her member.
By their cowardly refusal to act,
NCCS is telling the world that they can tolerate
not just a liar but a serial liar in Joseph Prince
to be part of her membership.
8 But the cowardly… and all liars – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” (Rev 21:8)
And yet, Rev Yang Tuck Yoong,
the Chairman of the Alliance of Pentecostal & Charismatic
Churches of Singapore (APCCS),
will unabashedly tell the whole world
that this liar, Joseph Prince is his dear friend,
who loves Jesus, that’s for sure.
What in the world is happening
to the National Leadership of the Singapore Churches?
What is nauseating
is that Joseph Prince himself preached in his sermon

that lying is sinful.

“Have you met Christians like this?
Everything is, is weak, weak.
It’s like, everything is sinful.
Now I’m not talking about, adultery is clear, sinful.
Lying is sinful.
Okay? Amen?
There’s no way to, to, to, you know,
think that all these things are okay.
No.
These are things that is moral, and clear.”
To tell you honestly,
I have never met any preacher as hypocritical and as shameless
as Joseph Prince,
who could preach to others that lying is sinful,
and yet, he would keep on lying and lying and lying
on the pulpit and publicly with reckless abandon.
Part 2: Joseph Prince and New Creation Church are trying hard to build relationships with NCCS and churches under NCCS’ membership because of our mounting pressure
In a Facebook page of New Creation Church,
it was reported on 20 Aug 2025 at 12 noon:
“Last week, some of our pastors and leaders
had the joy of joining churches across Singapore
at the National Day Thanksgiving Service,
hosted by the National Council Of Churches Of Singapore.
Together, we celebrated 60 years of God’s goodness
over our nation and were encouraged
to step forward with unity and courage.
The service concluded with prayers for Singapore,
our leaders, and the body of Christ.
We’re also thankful for our youth volunteers and staff
who stepped up to serve as ushers!”
I believe it is Joseph Prince’s current strategy
to join in combined church activities,
not just with NCCS, but also other organisations.
A case in point is when Joseph Prince turned up
for a Love Singapore event not too long ago,
which never or seldom happens.
Why?
Because Joseph Prince knows we are putting pressure on them
about their partnership with NCCS and APCCS.
And Joseph Prince is trying hard
to build relationships with the rest,
so as to thwart what we will try to do against them
with our new team.
Joseph Prince wants to align himself closer
to these mainstream organisations
to appear credible,
and to give the impression
that he and New Creation Church
are accepted by them.
Part 3: Testimony of Ex New Creation Church Member,
Simon Ho: woken up by Kong Hee about Joseph Prince
1. I responded to Rev George Ong’s call for more soldiers
When Rev George Ong called for more soldiers,
and especially for Ex New Creation Church members
to respond in contending against Joseph Prince’s heresies,
I contacted him.
May I encourage those,
especially Ex New Creation Church members,
to join in the fight, as I did
against the heretical teachings of Joseph Prince.
We need more, not less to come forward.

Rev George Ong also asked me to write a testimony of my time
in New Creation Church, and I acceded to his request.
2. How I got hooked on Joseph Prince’s Grace Doctrine
This is my story of how God miraculously delivered me
from the false teachings of Joseph Prince.
I attended New Creation Church between 1999 and 2002.
I was invited by a good friend
to attend a worship service at New Creation Church
during the beginning stages when the church was flourishing.
Subsequently, I heard Joseph Prince preach
during one of the Biblical Success Seminars
organized by Dr. John Lim at the former DBS Auditorium.
Immediately, I was attracted
to his very motivating and inspiring messages.
One of my colleagues then invited me
to attend Joseph Prince’s Bible Study
which was held every Thursday at the Rock Auditorium.
I must say I got really hooked on his messages
and felt very liberated and uplifted
each time I listened to Joseph Prince.
I then started to attend the Bible Study regularly every week,
together with a few of my cell group members.
One of the sisters who worked in town
would go very early to “chope” seats for us
every Thursday evening.
3. New Creation Church grew exponentially
The mid-week Bible Study soon attracted a very large crowd
and the Rock Auditorium was often filled to capacity.
Many of those who attended were from other churches,
and soon many of them were so attracted
that they started to attend the Sunday services as well.
From one service, New Creation Church grew to 4 services,
and every service began to fill up fast and furious.
Every Sunday, you can see snaky queues being formed
outside the Rock Auditorium before each service commenced.
New Creation Church started to grow exponentially
and word soon got around
as more and more people began to be attracted
to the Grace messages that were preached by Joseph Prince.
4. The difference between my AG church and New Creation Church
I came from an Assembly of God Church
and was a cell group leader
before I attended New Creation Church.
I led a very small group and was given the task
to recruit more members to attend my CG.
I was also assigned many duties
like ushering and counseling
during events like the Festival of Praise,
which our church participated in.
On top of that, we were also involved
in many community outreaches that the church organized
as they were trying very hard to reach out to the neighborhood.
Oftentimes, we had to go to the nearby estates
to do door knocking, evangelize and invite them to our church.
After a while, we all felt very stressed,
and eventually, many of us were burnt out.
On the contrary, over at New Creation Church,
we were not required to do anything
but just depended on God for everything.
We felt so free and liberated over there.
We all fell in love with the effortless Christian lifestyle
that were being taught.
And we saw the church grow week after week
without any human effort or community outreaches.
So, unlike my Assembly of God church that tried so hard
to reach the non-believers but never succeeded,
New Creation Church drew in the crowds without much effort.
Joseph Prince taught us that we were no longer under the law
but under grace.
So, there is no need to try very hard to obey the Law of Moses.
or the judicial laws under the Old Covenant.
And God now wants to bless and prosper us
both materially and spiritually under the new covenant.
The tagline that we were Greatly Blessed, Highly Favored
and Deeply Loved
soon began to permeate every believer in New Creation Church.
Needless to say, the church grew from a thousand
to over ten thousand attendees
within a very short span of time.
5. How I left my Church for New Creation Church
Soon, many churches began to take notice
of New Creation Church.
Some of the mega churches were losing large flocks
of their members to New Creation Church.
They started to get worried and warned their members
of the false teachings that were being preached
in New Creation Church.
I was also being singled out by some leaders from my church
who got word that a few of our cell group members
had been attending the Bible Study and services
at New Creation Church
and setting a very bad example for the other cell groups.
Sensing the pressure from the church,
I decided to leave and cross over to New Creation Church
together with a few of my CG members,
including one of our zone leaders.
We had all gotten tired of the boring and uninspiring messages
that were being preached from the pulpit every Sunday.
Soon, I began to get deeper into the teachings
at New Creation Church.
I listened to every message by Joseph Prince
and would purchase the cassette tapes every week.
There were no CDs at that time
and we listened to the cassette tapes using a cassette player.
I would listen to the messages over and over again
to internalize all the truths.
6. I eventually attended a Care Group in New Creation Church
Before long, I was assigned to attend
a care group of New Creation Church
in the East Region where I lived.
I remember vividly the first time I attended.
It was being held at a posh bungalow
with a large swimming pool and a big garage.
There were 4 cars parked inside the garage
– a Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW and another luxury car,
all with number plates bearing the numbers 8888.
The owner must be a very rich man
who believes in the number, “Eight”,
which means “Huat” or Prosperity in Chinese.
And inside the house, there was an indoor squash court.
Yes, a full-size indoor squash court
– which was a very popular sport at that time.
This is the first time I have seen a house with a squash court!
We all gathered in the living room for the meeting
and there were nearly 80 people inside!
I was told there were 120 members on the list
in our care group.
It’s probably one of the largest care groups
in New Creation Church
and we actually have enough people
to start a small church over there.
As the group was so large,
we had one of the pastors come down
to lead our group each fortnight.
After the CG meetings,
we were treated to supper at the poolside,
where we had fried Hokkien Mee, Roti Prata
and other finger food prepared by the hosts.
7. Kenny Goh was the care group host
I found out later that the host and owner of the house
was Kenny Goh, the boss of Ken-Air,
which was the largest travel agency in Singapore at that time.
I had the privilege to be introduced to him.
He was very friendly and brought me to see his library
and showed me a cabinet that contained
a huge collection of cassette tapes.
I remembered he told me,
“I had every cassette of Joseph Prince’s messages
that was preached in New Creation Church.
If you miss any of his messages,
don’t worry, I can duplicate them for you.”
Wow! This guy must be the Number One fan of Joseph Prince.
No wonder he is so blessed!
I looked at him with so much admiration and respect!
I told myself that I must start to immerse myself more
with all the prosperity messages of Joseph Prince from now on!
8. I was turned off by the lack of transparency and accountability in the purchase of The East Coast Recreation Centre, later renamed as Marine Cove
During another CG meeting,
I remembered Kenny Goh telling me that New Creation Church
had bought a property
as the current Rock Auditorium is too small
to hold our congregation.
I asked him which property and where it was located.
He just smiled and replied,
“You will find out in due course.”
I kept pressing him for more details, and he finally leaked out,
“All those staying in the East are blessed!”
That’s all the clue that he gave.
Later, Joseph Prince proudly announced
that New Creation Church had acquired
The East Coast Recreation Centre (where McDonald’s was)
for a sum of $10 million
with a remaining lease of 10 years or less.
It was later renamed Marine Cove.
I found out later that New Creation Church
had plans to build a large auditorium at the site
to hold its weekly services.
In my mind, I was thinking,
“How can you build a church in a gazetted recreation area
at East Coast Park?”
The Government would never approve of it.
And true enough,
I heard the plans could not be carried out.
But Joseph Prince never announced it
but tried to cover it up.
He had the cheek to say
that the church had invested in a property on East Coast
with a very high annual return.
No mention of any plans to build a church over there!
Marine Cove as an investment arm was a huge cover-up
for the church’s failure to build an auditorium there.
After the opening ceremony at Marine Cove,
the church did nothing to attract the crowds there,
and the food court and many businesses there suffered greatly
and many of them folded.
What kind of business investment is that?
Did God really ask the church to purchase the land
or to invest in the business there?
All this while I thought our tithes and offerings
were being used for missions, helping the needy
or any other work related to spreading the gospel
or further the kingdom of God.
But no, they are now being channeled into monetary gains
through property investments
like other commercial enterprises,
instead of being run as a charitable organization.
I was really turned off
for the lack of transparency and accountability
by Joseph Prince and the church board.
Very few in the congregation knew the truth
about the intended property purchase,
other than a few church leaders,
and Kenny Goh, who was instrumental
in helping to secure the site, and had insider knowledge
of the property purchase,
which was originally meant for church use.
Gradually my faith in the monetary expenditures
of New Creation Church started to fade.
9. How I left the Care Group in New Creation Church
My CG was later divided into 3 groups,
and I was transferred to another group.
The new CG leader
was also a die-hard follower of Joseph Prince,
and wanted to start a business at Marine Cove,
as she saw the market potential
due to the size of our congregation.
I refused to join as I didn’t feel comfortable,
but some of the members were convinced,
and they each invested $10K into the business venture.
Unfortunately, the business failed
and they all lost their money!
I started to feel edgy as I felt their focus
is always on financial and material blessings
that was being preached by Joseph Prince.
They all believed we are made kings and priests
and our lives should reflect that.
So, they always indulge in lavish lifestyles,
eat in fanciful restaurants and live the high life.
I was feeling disturbed inside
as I felt, as Christians, we should live simply and humbly.
None of the apostles lived excessively
or enjoyed a lavish lifestyle,
but devoted their lives to preaching the gospel
and helping the poor.
Although I believe that God wants to bless and prosper us,
we should never indulge in our own fleshy desires,
but to use the money that God has given us to bless others
who are in need.
I decided to leave the CG
as I felt their values and focus were different from mine
although there were a few who also held different views,
and who had initiated projects
to reach out to the homeless and needy.
I still continue to attend Sunday services
in New Creation Church though.
10. It was a divine appointment that I attended Kong Hee’s City Harvest Church one Sunday
One Sunday however, I wasn’t at New Creation Church,
but decided to attend a worship service at City Harvest Church.
I didn’t know I was there by divine appointment.
Pastor Kong Hee was preaching during the service
and he said,
“Grace must be balanced with Truth.
Jesus Christ is full of Grace and Truth.”
That struck me really hard.
Yes, all this while
I was listening to the Grace message of Joseph Prince,
but is it the Truth?
Like many of the New Creation Church goers,
I had never bothered
to question the teachings of Joseph Prince.
We all believed he is a man of God,
and whatever he says or preaches would never be wrong.
The Lord really gave me a wake-up call,
and that was the start of my quest for the truth.
11. Joseph Prince is probably the only one who preaches that believers don’t have to confess their sins
I began to dive deeply into the scriptures
to see whether all those messages
that I have heard at New Creation Church
were in line with the Word of God.
One of the most preached doctrines at New Creation Church
is that all our sins have been forgiven,
and we never need to confess our sins.
“We must homologeo
(Greek word for confess or to say the same thing)
our righteousness
instead of our sins,”
Joseph Prince always said we should never be sin-conscious
but righteousness-conscious.
Joseph Prince always emphasized.
“Every time you sin,
you just confess that you are the righteousness of God
in Christ.”
But when I check 1 John 1:9, it clearly states
that we are to confess our sins,
and if we do, God will forgive us of all our sins
and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness:
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves
and the truth is not in us.” – 1 John 1:8
Nothing can be clearer than that.
We all still sin, and we need to repent
and ask God for forgiveness.
I think Joseph Prince is the only preacher in the world
who teaches that we do not need to confess our sins.
I have never come across any other church that teaches that.
Even Roman Catholics believed
that they should always confess their sins
before their Catholic priests.
This is a universally accepted Christian Doctrine.
12. Joseph Prince’s teaching that the Holy Communion is for healing is off the mark
Another aspect that I had trouble
with Joseph Prince’s teaching
is the partaking of the Holy Communion
for healing.
Whenever we fall sick, Joseph Prince teaches
that we are to partake of the Holy Communion
as often as possible for the healing of our bodies.
However, nowhere in the Bible does it say
that we can be healed
through the partaking of the Holy Communion.
Jesus said,
“Take, eat: this is my body which is broken for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.”
Jesus never said,
“Do this for the healing of your bodies,”
or “Do this so you will look younger.”
So many of us have been deceived by this heretical teaching
about the Holy Communion.
I pray that many churchgoers,
who are still at New Creation Church
will wake up and read the scriptures,
and discover the truth for themselves!
Don’t just listen to everything that’s been preached
and accept them as the Gospel truth.
You won’t get healed through partaking
of the Holy Communion!
13. Prayer was not emphasized, and Fasting was preached against
There were many other erroneous teachings
which the Lord opened my eyes to.
Joseph Prince does not believe in fasting or prayer meetings.
There’s never a prayer meeting
that was ever held in New Creation Church,
unlike in many other churches.
Joseph Prince said,
“Why torture the people by having prayer meetings
when they are already so stressed out from work?”
He believes in effortless grace!
And Joseph Prince always said we do not need to fast
as that constituted a human effort of working
to try to win God’s favor as opposed to his grace teaching
where we are all blessed through grace
simply by just believing instead of working.
Joseph Prince always likes to make a mockery of people
who are fasting.
He would always remark that whenever people fast,
their faces looked so sour
as if they are being baptized in Tom Yum juice!
Joseph Prince would often say,
“So better don’t fast, Lah!
Why torture yourselves?”
Oh really?
Did the Bible ever say we are not to fast?
Jesus fasted, didn’t He?
Moses fasted for 40 days and nights
before receiving the 10 commandments.
Elijah the prophet also fasted for 40 days and nights
to travel to Mount Horeb.
Queen Esther calls for a three-day fast
to plead for the lives of the Jewish people
who were facing imminent annihilation.
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 11:27,
“In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often,
in hunger and thirst, in fastings often…”.
Joseph Prince never once quoted this scripture
that Paul fasted very often.
In fact, all the great men of God fasted at one time or another.
Who are we to say we do not need to fast?
In my own experience,
I experienced some of the greatest breakthroughs
through fasting and prayer!
Fasting is one of the greatest weapons
that we can use against the enemy!
We read in Matthew 6:16-18
that the Bible doesn’t say ‘if’ but rather ‘when you fast’
indicating that fasting is very much
a part of the Christian believer’s walk and lifestyle.
14. New Creation Church members buying Toto, Big Sweep and 4D.
It seems that Joseph Prince and New Creation Church
is very liberal
when it comes to buying Toto, Big Sweep and 4D.
Joseph Prince believes that God can make us rich
through striking Toto and 4D.
During one of the services,
Joseph Prince proudly declared that one coffeeshop auntie
who had struck the top prize of $2.8m in a Toto Draw
was from New Creation Church.
Joseph Prince said that somehow God had divinely arranged
for her to purchase a Toto ticket
which she didn’t have the intention to buy.
And she was supernaturally blessed
beyond her wildest imagination!
So, it is no surprise that many New Creation Church members
have decided to join the long queues at Singapore Pools
every week!
Toto and 4D are a form of gambling.
God doesn’t use the world’s lottery system to bless us,
and it would be very dangerous to treat God as one
who rewards us through gambling.
It would produce nothing but covetousness.
15. The Prosperity Gospel Teaching of Joseph Prince is what hooked most people into the church
And among the most controversial teachings of all
is Joseph Prince’s forever emphasis on material prosperity.
I think the number one reason
why New Creation Church can attract such a huge following
is the promise of prosperity and financial blessings
that was given to every believer.
Joseph Prince would always say,
“If you are not blessed,
there might be some problems in your spiritual life
or your walk with God,”
Joseph Prince would also say,
“The measure of your success
reflects on the level of your closeness with God.”
And that’s why you see many New Creation Church members
driving posh cars like Mercedes, BMWs, etc.
to church every Sunday.
In fact, Joseph Prince declared proudly
that he’s driving a new BMW 7 series
during one of the services on Sunday.
And many people already knew
he was staying in a penthouse at a condo in East Coast.
And Joseph Prince admitted to drawing a big fat salary
from the church
when one of the Straits Times reporters interviewed him.
The news created a big stir at that time
when his humongous salary was made public in the papers,
and Joseph Prince declared he felt so “naked”
and decided immediately
not to receive any salary from the church.
There were 2 very high-profile individuals
who were the poster boy and girl of New Creation Church,
which Rev. George Ong has mentioned in his YouTube videos.
One of them is currently being tried in court.
The other one whom I had the greatest respect for
and whom I had the privilege of meeting
at my first CG meeting,
was also declared a bankrupt after his business folded.
This number one fan of Joseph Prince
who claims to have all the cassette tapes
and have listened to every sermon
that Joseph Prince has ever preached,
had his 20,000 sq ft bungalow and office units
re-possessed and auctioned off by the bank.
I followed every piece of his news and was deeply saddened
when I heard his family had to downgrade to an HDB flat
and the church did not offer any assistance
during his darkest hour.
I’m very sure that this No. 1 fan of Joseph Prince
had applied everything he had learnt
from all the Joseph Prince’s sermons he had heard.
Why and how did he fail?
Could there be something wrong
with all that he had been taught?
I began to have serious doubts
about these prosperity teachings
because if they are true,
our poster boy and girl would not have gone down
as financial failures!
They literally lost everything
by betting and believing in the wrong horse!
So sad.
So, I really thank God for opening my eyes to the truth.
Did I prosper or become rich
when I was at New Creation Church?
The answer is NO!
But after I left New Creation Church,
the Lord began to bless and prosper me
after I unlearn everything and relearn everything from scratch.
God taught me from the scriptures
about True Biblical and Covenant Prosperity.
So, to those still in New Creation Church,
my prayer for you is that you will know the truth
and that the truth will set you free!
Flee from the heretical teachings of Joseph Prince
that will only bring you eternal destruction.

we did it for the first time.
Now, even like the business arm and all that,
we started it.
When you pass by Marine Parade,
and you see a place, called Marine Cove,
remember that place, Marine Cove, is called Marine Cove
because we called it Marine Cove.
Or, rather, Wendy and I prayed,
and I throw the idea with her,
and she came up with the word Cove,
and I said okay, Marine Cove.
If you pass by, remember your Pastor named it.
Your Pastor and his wife.
And we started there and it’s a business arm,
and then we find that other churches follow.”
So, in his sermon on 27 April 2025,
Joseph Prince again didn’t mention
that the original plan for the purchase of Marine Cove
was to build an auditorium for church services.
Joseph Prince didn’t dare to tell the congregation the truth
that the original plan to build a church there
could not be carried out.
Now, Joseph Prince has the cheek to claim credit
for starting this business arm of the church
which wasn’t the original plan at all
but an afterthought.
You see how deceitful this guy Joseph Prince is.
No 2: Joseph Prince pressured to stop drawing a salary from New Creation Church

as I listened to his sermons (full sermon) every Sunday.
In a recent sermon in 2025, Joseph Prince said:

“I believe in this so much
that I didn’t want to take a salary.
After all, I stopped drawing a salary from the church
since 2009.”
Yes, Joseph Prince said he didn’t draw a salary since 2009.
But, as usual, he has only told you the half-truth.
The other half-truth Joseph Prince has hidden from you
is the background that forced or compelled him
not to take a salary.
Let me quote from Wikipedia
(emphasis with colour highlighting is mine):
“On 5 October 2008,
in an interview with the Sunday Times,
Prince, also the executive chairman of the church council,
acknowledged that he was “well-paid”
with his salary going up $50,000 a month.[4]
On 30 March 2009, The Straits Times
reported that the church had paid one employee
between $500,001 and $550,000 in its last financial year.
… While not confirming the identity of the employee,
the church responded that its policy
is to “recognize and reward key contributors
to the church
and Senior Pastor Prince
is the main pillar
of our church’s growth and revenue.”[8][9]
This fact that Joseph Prince
was so highly paid by New Creation Church,
received a lot of bad publicity in 2008-2009,
not only in the Singapore Church scene,
but also the Singapore general public
as it was reported in the Straits Times.
Pressure was mounting
and meeting/s were convened in New Creation Church
for the leadership to explain
and justify Joseph Prince’s high pay.
It was under such a background;
and in order not to incur any more backlash from the public
and bad press,
Joseph Prince was forced or compelled
not to receive a salary from the church.
What I cannot stomach
is that he often paints his no-salary as a huge sacrifice
when the financial proceeds, which amounts to millions,
from the sales of his books, sermons on CDs,
not just in Singapore but around the world
is enough to last him many lifetimes.
Furthermore, why does Joseph Prince wants to bring up
his no-salary issue, even today
even though he is earning the millions.
For example, the recent ‘Joseph Prince Study Bible’
is all about Joseph Prince earning more money
because to access to this ‘Joseph Prince Study Bible’,
there is a monthly subscription plan:
Basic: S$23.98 per month
Essential: S$34.98 per month
Unlimited: S$49.98 per month
You must remember Joseph Prince has a worldwide market.
If just 10,000 people subscribe to the Basic plan,
he would have a cool $239,800 per month.
Just think of the humongous amounts of money he is earning
from the preaching of his grace gospel.
The Apostle Paul whom he claimed as his mentor
will never, never, never do that.
What is most shameful is that Joseph Prince keeps on saying
that Paul was the one he had learned
all his grace theology from.
In summary, it is a terrible shame and outrageous
that Joseph Prince would keep on, and keep on, and keep on
bringing up the issue
about him not receiving a salary from the church
when he is earning the millions
– from preaching the True Gospel?
No!
From preaching the False and Heretical Gospel
that not only does not save,
but it would lead the multitudes to hell.
That is what is nauseating!
It is indeed an abomination
that Joseph Prince is earning the millions
by preaching the False Gospel
that would lead many that he had earned the money from
to their eternal destruction.
No 3: New Creation Church members are buying Toto, Big Sweep and 4D

“Now, recently, something else happens.
Just two weeks ago, there was a lady in Singapore,
who was working as a cashier at a coffeeshop, Kopitiam.
And one lady walked in and offered her a Toto
– just one piece.
Now, she never plays Toto in her life.
She bought that one piece.
I was told later that she wanted Christians
to know she don’t plays Toto.
There was one time the lady came in
and insists on her taking the one.
She took that piece.
She bought it – the one piece.
And that was the top prize – $2.8 million.
It was on the front page of The New Paper. $2.8 million,
and the word got around in Singapore,
saying a Kopitiam aunty has won the top prize.
Now what people didn’t know was this;
she was praying to God;
she’s a new convert.
And she was praying to God
that she can go to church
because somehow her finances didn’t allow
and she had to work on Sundays at the Kopitiam,
the coffeeshop.
So, she asked God to help her.
Boy, did God help her.
I want to read to you a testimony.
And yes, she is from this church (New Creation Church).”
On one hand, Joseph Prince tried to explain for the lady
when he mentioned that “she don’t plays Toto.”
Yet, on the other hand,
he said it was God who answered her prayer
by providing for her finances
because she won the prize of $2.8 million.
What Joseph Prince is clearly implying
is that God can provide for you through gambling.
And especially if it is $2.8 million,
it has to be God,
and it has to be the right thing to do.
I guess, for Joseph Prince,
it is because it is $2.8 million that makes it right.
Could you accept such a flippant and irresponsible attitude
and approach of Joseph Prince (who is a so-called Pastor)
towards gambling and wealth?
It seems that Joseph Prince’s theology
is that the ends justify the means
– if it is $2.8 million, then it must be God.
In order to promote his Prosperity Gospel doctrine
that every believer is to be very rich like Abraham
in the Old Testament was,
Joseph Prince is even prepared
to drag God into this gambling thing.
Joseph Prince is making God say that it is okay to gamble
as it is God who answered the lady’s prayer
by taking care of her finances
because He had helped her win the $2.8 million Toto prize.
And what I am interested to know from Joseph Prince is,
did she continue to buy Toto after winning the $2.8 million?
Well, the reasoning is,
if God can answer her prayer by helping her win
a monetary prize through Toto once,
why can’t He do it the second and third time?
If it is okay for God to do it once,
shouldn’t it be okay for Him to do it the second and third time?
Instead of giving a clear signal to his church members
that gambling is wrong
because it promotes the sin of covetousness,
unbelievably, Joseph Prince gave tacit approval to it.
How would his church members,
especially the new converts and those who are weaker in faith,
and worse, those who may have the temptation to gamble,
go away with Joseph Prince’s frivolous approach
to the issue of gambling?
They must be thinking, that perhaps,
buying Toto is not all that wrong,
especially if one can win the top Toto prize of 2.8 million,
as, after all, their Pastor Joseph Prince Himself
had dared to testify publicly in a worship service
about God helping a believer win Toto (lottery).
By now, can you make the connection
why people attending New Creation Church are buying Toto.
The horrifying thing is,
not only does Joseph Prince not give
an unambiguous signal that gambling is wrong
as it is an insidious form of covetousness,
he indirectly promotes it
by saying that God can answer the prayer of a believer
because He had helped her win a Toto prize.
John Piper said:
“Prosperity cannot be proof of God’s favour
for it is what the devil promises
to those who worship him.”
Going by what John Piper said, it is not God,
but very likely the devil,
who has helped his lady member win the Toto prize.

“Some of you, if God gave you a million dollars;
Okay, a million dollars is nothing, nowadays.
I look at some people and realise
many of them have a million dollars.
Alright, their house is worth a million dollars.
Alright, it is almost unimaginable,
the blessing that is on Singapore, Singaporeans.
Anyway, let’s say if God gave you 5 million,
you are praying, your Toto (lottery) comes in.
I know some of you, you don’t say it out
but you are claiming in Jesus’ name.
When I said, ‘The Lord bless you,’
you said, ‘Toto’.
We are saying ‘The Lord bless you totally,’
you say ‘Totolly’.
You think I don’t know. Come on.
And every time there’s a lucky draw,
alright you buy something, okay from the shopping mall,
whatever you buy and there’s a lucky draw.
I know you claim it and you claim it in Jesus’ name.
I know, I know.
In fact, I suspect Pastor Mark is doing it also.”
Instead of sending an unequivocal signal to believers
that gambling through Toto (lottery) is wrong
because it promotes the sin of covetousness,
unbelievably, Joseph Prince somewhat endorses it.
No wonder, many in New Creation Church
are buying Toto, and 4D
to fulfil their covenantal right to be very rich as Abraham was
that Joseph Prince has abominably taught them.
Would a true teacher of God’s word endorse gambling
(buying Toto) publicly to believers in his church?
Of course not!
But here we have Joseph Prince,
who publicly sanctions gambling
not only to his New Creation Church
but also to Christian audiences around the world
(his videos are shown around the world)!
Can you beat that?
In my 58 years as a Christian,
I have never come across any pastor or preacher
who dares to approve gambling publicly to his congregation.
Instead of sending a clear signal to believers
that gambling is wrong
because it promotes the sin of covetousness,
unbelievably, Joseph Prince endorses it.
