Part 2: What’s the use of Joseph Prince going for 3 months of Sabbatical when he doesn’t even get the basics of theology right – that sonship isn’t opposed to discipleship, and being joint heirs with Christ and suffering for Christ are tied together – By George Ong
Part 3: John MacArthur, Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & Joseph Prince added to & change God’s word when they said there will be the 144,000 Jewish evangelists (Bible says 144,000, probably Jews, but not evangelists) who will preach the gospel before Jesus comes when the Great Commission was already and clearly given by the Lord Jesus to the Church and not to these 144,000 Jewish evangelists – By George Ong

In the sermon on 30 Aug 2026, 2 Sundays ago,
when he came back to preach after 3 months of Sabbatical,
Joseph Prince said:
“But we are not to live there as disciples.
We are to live here as sons of God in Christ.
Can I have a good amen?”
In this and his many other sermons,
what Joseph Prince has always been trying to portray
is that we must glory in our sonship
– that we are the privileged sons of God.
No one will disagree with that.
All Christians subscribe to this magnificent teaching
– that as sinners being saved by His grace,
we are given this glorious privilege
to be God’s sons and daughters,
inheriting all that He has for us.
And we can all shout a big Amen and a loud Hallelujah
to the Lord.
But what is malicious is that in Joseph Prince’s teaching
to amplify sonship,
he berates discipleship.
Joseph Prince is effectively pitting sonship against discipleship.
It is as if,
if we see ourselves as the privileged sons of God,
we must discard costly discipleship.
The scriptures never set up this false dichotomy
between privileged sonship and costly discipleship.
It is a false dichotomy that Joseph Prince
has deceptively created to poison the minds of believers
in order to get them to reject discipleship.
On the contrary, the Bible teaches that
both sonship and discipleship are equally important.
One does not cancel out the other
as though they are mutually exclusive.
Next, in this and his other sermons,
Joseph Prince painted an overly rosy and one-sided picture
of sonship and us being children of God,
one that is full of privileges with no obligations.
But this is far from the truth.
In ‘Children of God, Life in Christ, Volume 3, Studies in 1 John,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“We have begun our consideration of these verses,
and we have seen that if we are to experience sonship
and its benefit to the full,
we must obey God’s commandments,
we must live as children of God.”
In ‘The Love of God, Life in Christ, Volume 4, Studies in 1 John,’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“Then at the beginning of chapter 3,
John comes to the second great point,
that we are children of God.
‘Behold, what manner of love the Father
hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the sons of God’; (1 Jn 3:1)
and he tells us about that.
He then goes on to say in effect,
‘If you want to live in full enjoyment of that sonship,
there are certain things you must beware of.
You must obey the law –
“whosoever commiteth sin transgresseth
also the law”’ (1 Jn 3:4 KJV)
– and the first verses of chapter 3 emphasise
the all-importance of obeying the commandments.”
George Ong’s Comments:
Did Joseph Prince tell you what Martyn Lloyd-Jones said
that sonship comes with the all-importance
of obeying the commandments?
How could he?
The reason is that Joseph Prince taught against
the obedience of God’s commandments
as they belonged to the Old Covenant
and have gone obsolete.
In the sermon on 30 Aug 2026, 2 Sundays ago,
when he came back to preach after 3 months of Sabbatical,
Joseph Prince said:
“Whatever He (Jesus) has, you have.
We are joint heirs with Christ. Amen?
We are joint heirs now. Okay? Amen?”
Joseph Prince’s teachings that we can have all that Christ has;
His Perfect Health and His Abundant Wealth, etc
because we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ
has gone out of context:
Romans 8:16-18 NKJV
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
In context, Paul is teaching
that not only do we have the privilege
of being children of God or sons of God,
and also the glory of being joint heirs with Christ,
but more importantly,
we also have the honour of sharing in Christ’s sufferings.
In other words,
according to the context of Romans 8:16-18
being children of God or sons of God,
and also the glory of being joint heirs with Christ,
and the important issue of suffering for God
are tied together.
Joseph Prince has constantly preached
about the glory of being joint heirs with Christ,
but he hardly preaches about the honour
of sharing in Christ’s suffering.
In fact, on many occasions, he even preaches against it.
There are 3 big guns of Bible exegesis:
Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Stott and James Montgomery Boice,
who share Paul’s view
that being sons of God and joint heirs with Christ,
and the important issue of suffering
are tied together.
In ‘An Expositional Commentary on Romans Volume 1-4.’
James Montgomery Boice wrote:
“Proof of Sonship
This brings us to the value of suffering
according to a right theological framework or life-view.
It has several important values,
and the first is the chief reason
Paul mentions it in Romans:
He has been talking of Christians
being sons and daughters of God;
now he speaks of suffering as proof of that relationship…
D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones,
who explores this line of thought extensively
in his study of Romans 8:17,
“If you are suffering as a Christian,
and because you are a Christian
it is one of the surest proofs you can ever have
of the fact that you are a child of God.”
That is an important use of persecution.
It proves that we are Christians
and therefore disciples for Christ.”
In ‘Exposition of Romans Chapter 8:17-39,
The Final Perseverance of the Saints’
Martyn Lloyd-Jones said:
“And, lastly, we have seen that the Apostle
even uses suffering:
‘Since we suffer with him.’ (Rom 8:17)
If you are really suffering as a Christian
it is a proof that you are a Christian,
that you are a child of God.
The thing is inevitable.
We must suffer if we are Christians.
This is an absolute rule.
As He suffered, so shall we.
So if we are suffering
because of our relationship to Him, and as Christians,
it is an absolute proof of our relationship to Him.”
In ‘Understanding the Bible’,
John Stott wrote:
“But suffering leads to glory.
It was so for Christ.
It is so for the followers of Christ.
Peter commands us to rejoice both in our share
of Christ’s sufferings
and in our anticipated share
in the glory which is to be revealed (1 Pet. 4:13; 5:1, 10).
The Apostle Paul said the same thing:
Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Rom. 8:17)
These are some of the implications of our “adoption”
into God’s family.
… For to be a son is to be an heir.
Suffering is the pledge of glory.”
All 3 well-respected Bible teachers:
Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Stott and James Montgomery Boice
hold the same opinion as Paul does
that suffering is part and parcel
of sonship and us being children of God,
and the fact that we are joint heirs with Christ.
This is in total contradiction
to Joseph Prince’s conception of sonship
and being joint heirs with Christ
– one that comprises only privileges and no suffering.
Hence, the teaching of Joseph Prince on sonship
and being joint heirs with Christ
is a counterfeit
– one that is incongruent with the teachings of the scripture.
What is significant is that Romans 8:17
and the exposition of Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Stott
and James Montgomery Boice
bring home the point
that instead of seeing sonship
together with being joint heirs with Christ
and discipleship
in opposition to one another, as Joseph Prince does,
there is a common theme that ties them together
– that of suffering.
Hence, Joseph Prince’s teachings
that Being Sons of God & Joint Heirs with Christ
without Suffering
are both Cheap and False Christianity.
What’s the use of Joseph Prince
going for 3 months of Sabbatical
when he doesn’t even get such basics of theology right
in the first place?
Part 3: John MacArthur, Amir Tsarfati, David Jeremiah & Joseph Prince added to & change God’s word when they said there will be the 144,000 Jewish evangelists (Bible says 144,000, probably Jews, but not evangelists) who will preach the gospel before Jesus comes when the Great Commission was already and clearly given by the Lord Jesus to the Church and not to these 144,000 Jewish evangelists – By George Ong
Dan Au attended the seminar on 11 July this year (2026)
and he wrote:
“As a Christian for many years,
I was never keen on the topic concerning Pre-tribulation
and Post-tribulation rapture.
To me, this is more a theological contention.
What I feel important is for me to be faithful
in my Christian basic 101
– love God, submit to Him, serve Him,
preach the gospel and so on.
But when Rev George invited us
to attend his Rapture Seminar,
I signed up without much hesitation.
It was not because
I suddenly had an interest in this subject.
Rather, I knew the delivery of this subject by Rev George
could enable me to gain good insight
and clear understanding of this unfamiliar topic
which I have brushed aside for decades.
Rev George is a faithful servant of God’s words
– he is unbiased and always put forth his argument
with a strong biblical basis.
And he always encourages us to be like the Bereans,
not to blindly believe him
but to do our own research
to check that what he shares is indeed true.
Because he puts in an enormous amount of time and effort
to prepare for every of his seminars,
I am always built up
when attending the seminars he conducted.
With zero knowledge to begin with,
after attending his Rapture Seminar,
now, I have a much better understanding
of the biblical truth concerning rapture.
Below are a few salient points which impressed upon me:
Pre-Tribulation claimed that
“the Holy Spirit will be taken away” in 2 Thessalonians 2:7
Rev George pointed out that such a claim is not logical
because how can the Holy Spirit leave those Christians
who will be suffering during the 7 years of tribulation.
Pre-Tribulation claim
that Christians will be raptured before the tribulation.
If this were true, then who would the Anti-Christ
in Revelation going to be anti against?
And in Revelation 18:4,
at that very late stage
when the bowls of God’s wrath are pouring,
God says “come out of her, my people”.
In this verse, clearly God is addressing to Christians.
And if all Christians were raptured,
there would be no “my people” for God to address to.
Pre-Tribulation also put forth their argument
that Titus 2:13 mentioned “the blessed hope”
must be referring to rapture of all Christians
because tribulation being a bad thing
cannot be seen as blessed hope.
Rev George explained this is not true
because in Revelation 14:12-13,
it also says “blessed are the dead who die in the Lord…”
In the kingdom of God,
suffering and martyrdom are seen as glorious.
Also, if Pre-tribulation were true,
then all 13 chapters of the book of Revelation
would be irrelevant to us.
This is unthinkable!
Rev George did a marvelous job
in taking us through the Bible
to explain point by point.
Though the 1-day Rapture seminar
was packed with countless verses and biblical texts,
and the pace was fast
as Rev George compressed
all the important materials for us,
the seminar was far from boring.
I was paying full attention
as Rev George unpacked all the key truths
with his usual zest and energy.
I am glad that I attended
and am thankful for gaining much from this seminar.”
