Finally, Joseph Prince preached last Sunday, 10 May 2026.
But what’s damning to himself and New Creation Church
is that Joseph Prince himself dared not explain the reasons
for his absence from the pulpit for 4 Sundays:
12 Apr, 19 Apr, 26 Apr and 3 May 2026.
Any Senior Pastor of any church,
for accountability,
would have explained the reasons for his absence
from the pulpit for 4 Sundays.
But Joseph Prince dared not explain his absence
because if he did,
it would be damning to him.
This is because he was probably sick
during much of the 4 Sundays,
and only when he recovered,
he dared to preach last Sunday.
So now you have the answer
why it was never announced
that Joseph Prince could not preach
because he has fallen sick?
Why?
Because Joseph Prince wants to maintain the godlike image
that he has never fallen sick before.
Part 3: In his sermon last Sunday, Joseph Prince tries to deceive people that his Prosperity Gospel is not about money, when it is – By George Ong
In the sermon on 10 May, last Sunday,
Joseph Prince said:

“The story ends with, because the Lord was with him,
whatever he did, the Lord made it to prosper.
Look at that.
Whatever he did, the Lord made it to prosper.
Which means what? Relative to the prison.
Did he have a lot of money then? No.
So prosperity is not about money, Dah.”
Joseph Prince tries to give the false impression
that in his teaching of the Prosperity Gospel Doctrine,
he does not always talk about money and wealth
– that money is not the only thing that constitutes prosperity.
But Joseph Prince is clearly lying.
This is because in another video,
about the Prosperity Gospel,
he teaches that Jesus has come
to make all New Covenant believers rich,
as God does not want any New Covenant believer to be poor.
Let me give you the evidence.
In a sermon, Joseph Prince said:

“Read the Bible.
The Bible even say, you know,
the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich;
can you imagine how rich Jesus is?
You mean as rich as Elon Musk, richer.
He’s the one that put the diamonds,
sapphires all that in place.
Jesus Christ that though He was rich,
yet for your sakes, He became poor.
He’s talking about really poverty.
It’s not spiritual here.
The context there is that,
it’s talking about material,
material things, material supply.
That you through His poverty
might become rich.
He became poor
that you might be rich.
Does God want you poor?
No, I just quoted the verse just now, right.
Jesus became poor
that you might be rich.”
Joseph Prince said:
“Does God want you poor?
No, I just quoted the verse just now, right.
Jesus became poor
that you might be rich.”
By Joseph Prince’s statement,
he is clearly implying that every believer is to be rich,
and that there is something wrong
if believers are poor.
This is a great insult
to all the poor believers in the world.
Isn’t Joseph Prince aware
that there are multitudes of poor believers,
especially in the third world?
And even in the first world,
there are poor believers, too.
So, Joseph Prince owes all these poor believers
around the world, especially in the third world
an apology
for insulting them, as he has strongly implied
that there is something wrong with being poor.
There are many arguments that I can marshal
against Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel doctrine.
But let me surface just 2,
and these 2 will be more than enough
to demolish Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel doctrine
and expose it as a scam.
1. The Poor New Covenant Church of Smyrna, Yet Jesus Praised them.
Jesus declared that the church of Smyrna
is materially poor but spiritually rich:
“I know your afflictions and your poverty
– yet you are rich!” (Rev 2:9 NIV).
Jesus did not rebuke them for their lack of faith,
as Joseph Prince may do to Christians
who aren’t rich or prosperous.
The church of Smyrna was facing financial hardship,
perhaps because of the persecution they had been enduring.
Although they were suffering from poverty,
Jesus encouraged them that they were spiritually rich,
being destined to inherit the victor’s crown (Rev 2:10).
Joseph Prince needs to tell us that
if every New Covenant church is supposed to be rich,
why is the church of Smyrna (Rev 2:8-11)
in a state of poverty?
And did Jesus reprimand the church of Smyrna
for being poor?
Did Jesus rebuke them for not praying with enough faith;
to pray themselves out of the curse of poverty?
Joseph Prince would have done that,
but never once did Jesus reprimand them for their poverty.
Conversely, Jesus affirmed the church of Smyrna:
“I know your afflictions and your poverty
– yet you are rich!” (Rev 2:9a NIV).
Jesus was well aware
that they were living in a state of poverty,
yet, Jesus never told them
they had to get out of their poverty
because they were cursed.
Jesus was not as concerned
whether they were materially rich or poor,
but He is utterly concerned
whether they were spiritually rich.
But Jesus didn’t even rebuke the church of Smyrna
for finding themselves in a state of poverty,
but He praised them for being spiritually rich.
Why?
Because the Prosperity Gospel doctrine of Joseph Prince
was never in the mind of Jesus.
Can you now see that Joseph Prince
is not preaching the real Jesus;
he is preaching his own version of Jesus
– the counterfeit Jesus!
2. The Extremely Poor New Covenant Churches in Macedonia, Yet Paul Praised them.
Paul alluded to the excellent example of the generosity
of the extremely poor Macedonian churches
to spur the Corinthians
to give to the poorer Jerusalem believers:
2 Corinthians 8:1-5 NIV
1 “And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3 For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. 5 And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.
If Christ has come
to make every New Covenant believer materially rich,
as Joseph Prince preaches,
why was there a need for Paul
to collect an offering from the Corinthians
to the poor Jerusalem Christians?
Why were there also poor Christians
such as the Macedonian church in the first place?
But did Paul ever rebuke the Macedonian churches
for their poverty?
No.
Did Paul assure them that their poverty is only temporary,
and soon, they would become rich
because Joseph Prince teaches that
because Jesus became poor so that they would be rich?
No.
Paul was indeed moved
because these extremely poor Macedonian Christians
gave beyond what they were able.
He used the Macedonian church
as a model for the Corinthian church to follow
as Paul was motivating them
to give to the poor Jerusalem believers (1 Cor 16:1-3).
But at no time did Paul promise the Macedonian churches
that they, being extremely poor,
would suddenly become materially rich,
just because they had given to the Jerusalem church.
Joseph Prince needs to note
that the churches in Macedonia,
being New Covenant churches,
were not just poor
but extremely poor (2 Cor 8:2).
And the way Paul dealt
with the extremely poor Macedonian church
is so different from the way
Joseph Prince would have dealt with them.
Why?
Because the Prosperity Gospel doctrine of Joseph Prince
was never in the mind of Paul.
Hence, Joseph Prince had lied big time
when he kept saying that Paul was his mentor,
and that he had learned his grace doctrine from Paul.
In summary,
Joseph Prince’s Prosperity Gospel doctrine
that Jesus came to make every New Covenant believer rich
and that believers ought not to be poor,
because there is something wrong with being poor,
is a great insult to all poor believers
and a scam that must be continually exposed.
Whether we are rich or poor,
we are all God’s children
that Jesus came to die and redeemed us from our sins.
Poor believers mustn’t envy the rich and the very rich,
while the very rich, such as Joseph Prince,
should never cast scorn on the poor by insulting them
as though that there is something wrong with being poor.
What is worse is that in another video,
Joseph Prince has not only insulted the poor,
but he condemned the poor by saying that
Poverty is evil
and Poverty is a curse.

In conclusion,
Joseph Prince’s attempt to try to posture his Prosperity Gospel
as not about money is a deception.
On the contrary, by teaching that
every believer must be rich and no believer must be poor,
as poverty is evil and poverty is a curse,
proves that for Joseph Prince
money is everything
in his Prosperity Gospel doctrine.
Finally, in ‘Evangelical Truth,’
John Stott wrote:
“The widespread preaching and teaching of ‘prosperity gospel’
around the world raises significant concerns.
We define prosperity gospel
as the teaching that believers have a right
to the blessings of health and wealth
and that they can obtain these blessings
through positive confessions of faith
and the ‘sowing of seeds’
through financial or material gifts.
… However, we deny as unbiblical
… that wealth is always a sign of God’s blessing.
… But we believe that the teachings of many
who vigorously promote the prosperity gospel
seriously distort the Bible;
… We grieve that the impact of this teaching on many Churches
is pastorally damaging and spiritually unhealthy.
… The prosperity gospel… can deflect people
from the true message and means of eternal salvation.
For these reasons
it can be soberly described as a false gospel.
We therefore reject the excesses of prosperity teaching
as incompatible with balanced biblical Christianity.”
George Ong’s comments:
John Stott ascribed the Prosperity Gospel teaching
as a false gospel.
This means Joseph Prince
who preaches the same false gospel
is a false prophet.
